2 Years Of Restarting

"You don't want to pick up?" Long Ying noticed the change in Yu Yan's expression and furrowed his brows. He couldn't see who the caller was but he could guess that it must be someone from Yu Family. After all, Yu Yan wanted to destroy that very family.

"It's fine."

Yu Yan clicked accept and she could hear her father's voice right after she picked it up.

"Yu Yan."

"What do you want?" Yu Yan didn't even bother with greetings. Her eyes were cold as she thought about how her father was also trying to threaten her.

"It's about your mine rights. How about if I just buy the share from you and give you some money? You can quote the price," Yu Zheng Tong offered with calm tone. He didn't really look like he was talking with his daughter but more like negotiating some terms with business partner.

"I can quote any price?"

"Yes, how about…"

"What if I ask for 100 million yuan?" Yu Yan asked without battling an eyelid.

"Yu Yan! You know that even the annual profit of AC mine couldn't reach 1 million yuan in total!"

Yu Yan sneered. "You're the one who asked me to quote any price I want."

Yu Zheng Tong could feel headache. He sighed. "I'll give you 1 million and you hand me the share, how about that? It's just a worthless mine for you since you didn't even bother to take care of it."

Since Yu Yan had forty percent, she had the second biggest say in that mine. The first was her cousin, who also got the same percentage but more active in the management. The last twenty percent was kept by her uncle.

Yu Yan's eyes were cold. "Worthless mine? If it's so worthless, why do you even bother buying it? Do you want to make loss for your company now that you have enough money, Father?"

"You…"

"Stop bothering me. Even if I have to sell the mine rights, I'll never sell it to you!" Yu Yan hung up and tossed the phone to the table. Neither one of her parents ever existed in her childhood. From the very moment her younger sister began to show her brilliance, she was shunned away.

Even her father, who used to be the perfect dad to her, gradually grew distance until they left her to be taken care by her grandfather.

"Yan'er."

Yu Yan, who was still in rage, raised her head and saw Long Ying's concerned expression. Whatever words that she wanted to say stuck in her throat as she slowly moved forward and threw herself to Long Ying, hugging him in tight embrace.

Long Ying was stunned to find a fur ball in his embrace. He stayed still for two seconds. Afterwards, he raised his hand and hugged her tightly, caressing her soft and long hair. He hoped that she would feel better with him around.

The warmth did make Yu Yan felt better. She always liked staying near Long Ying and even now, she felt that he really pampered her. He allowed her to anything she wanted.

"Feel better?"

"En. You're so warm."

Long Ying smiled tenderly and continued to caress his woman's hair. No matter what, he would make sure that she stayed safe and comfortable near him. He would never hurt her.

However, he noticed that a certain part… had started to have a reaction. It seemed that he shouldn't stay in this position too long or it would be harder for him to hold himself back.

Yu Yan stretched her hand then tilted her head. "Oh right, how about the things from my apartment? I can't possibly let my documents there be wasted, right?"

"Do you want your clothes back? I only ask my men to take the important documents."

Thinking about her mostly second hand clothes along with the other things that the cheating couple had used, Yu Yan furrowed her brows. She didn't even want to see them anymore much less using them again.

It would be better to be left behind.

Long Ying noticed that Yu Yan looked unwilling, so he didn't press the matter. "I'll buy you more clothes and others you need."

"Okay."

"Shall we check on the mine?" Long Ying changed the conversation. He had planned on having them make a trip outside to make Yu Yan's mood better.

Yu Yan moved back slightly then nodded with a bright smile. "Sure! I'll change clothes and put on a makeup."

"Alright. Wear conservative clothes."

"But it'll be hot outside."

"It'll be winter soon, so you have to wear thicker clothes."

Hearing his words, Yu Yan pursed her lips. "It's still autumn. Winter will be in a few more months."

"The temperature had started to turn cold," Long Ying insisted.

"Ugh…"

In the end, Yu Yan picked a slightly more conservative clothes. It was a long dress that reached her knee along with a cute jacket to complement it. Even though Long Ying wanted her to wear longer dress, Yu Yan complained that it would be hard for her to walk around.

Long Ying could only relent in front of his wife's insistence.
