A Brother's Sacrifice

After teasing Kinoshita in the hot bath about that kiss, oh sorry, that CPR that he performed on Maika to save her, we were getting out of the hot bath. Although Kinoshita thinks that that wasn't a perverted act, I kind of forced him to think that it was.

Anyway, the slightly blushing Kinoshita was walking beside me. And our destination was obviously our room. Opening the sliding door, I looked towards our place. There were already some people who were at our place. They were playing cards and one of the players was Imai Murasaki.

Imai noticed us and like before, waved a hand at us.

"Yo Hikigaya! Come and play with us! You too Kinoshita!"

He enthusiastically invited us over to his place. When I say 'invited', it sounds strange to me because, that's the same exact spot in which Imai is sitting, where we are supposed to sleep. Well whenever I see this guy, at some point, my anger in my body seems to like this guy.

When I was sitting down on a free spot along with Kinoshita, the other 4 guys of the same class as Imai, were staring at me quite....oddly. I wonder what happened.

....Wait.....?!?!?

Did they already find out that I'm actually Kaburagi Tenma, and not Hikigaya Reiji!? If that is so then why did Imai called me out by my fake name? Is he the only one that doesn't know about it?

There are things that are unknown to me and if I don't search up the information, then my cover will be blown! First thing, let's calm down. Delete all the worries and tension that has been build up in my head and think...

...

Now, I need to confirm something. I looked at Imai, which he did the same to me. I questioned him to somewhat, liven the atmosphere around us.

"Imai, who was that girl?"

"Who? The one who you saw with me at the boat-riding activity?

"Yeah, that one. Is she your girlfriend?"

Hearing that, Imai had a smug on his face. Again, my anger is really raging out but I still, calmed it down.

"Yes, she is my girlfriend." He said in an arrogant tone.

I didn't mind it but instead, I had a joyful expression and I wore a cheerful smile on my face.

"Wow. That was Kaburagi Reika! How did you make her, the most popular girl amongst the first-years, your girlfriend? You must be pretty amazing."

"Well...thanks for the compliment. It was love at first sight for me. So the first time I saw her, I ran towards her, build up my courage and asked her out. That's it."

"You have quite the courage Imai. I could've never done that."

"Well, you must have the guts to accomplish the thing that I did."

He swept a look at everyone to say that which was quite condescending of him. He really acts like a responsible gentleman in front of Reika but he is really just a shitty human being.

I can't find a single aspect about him that makes me happy about him being my sister's boyfriend. I'm really not satisfied with Reika's choice of boyfriend but I really can't meddle with her in this matter. I'll just wait and see what happens with him for now.

"Hey Imai, wanna tell me what you and your girlfriend did today and yesterday when you were together?"

I said that with a quite perverted face and a smirk on my face. I was acting like a good friend of his to get out some important information.

"You wanna know that badly? I guess it can't be helped because you guys won't get a girlfriend like her."

Sneering at us, I endured the humiliation and calmed down the rage that would've cracked his skull into two. And he told us all of the moments spent with Reika in details.

Waking up to the final day of this study camp program, I yawned loudly which did bother the ears of the other guys but no one woke up. Except Kinoshita, who was already awake and was taking his brush and toothpaste in his hands.

"Good morning, Kaburagi."

"Good morning, Kinoshita."

He went ahead to brush his teeth. When he left out of the room, I also looked for my brush. Though, the thought of yesterday's matter was still fresh in my mind.

According to Imai's story, if he is telling the truth, then that means that only him does not know about my real identity. Based on his story, it seems like he was always with Reika and didn't really talk much with the others.

But I can't trust only this much to confirm that he doesn't know my real name. If he did know my real name, then I applaud him for his acting skills yesterday. But anyway, I need to somehow ask Reika for some clues.

I shook my head to stop thinking about all of this and went to the bathroom. After brushing and taking care of my bed hair, I went to my room to prepare myself for the day.

We were supposed to meet up in class. It seems like for the last day of this program, the class will start early and will be shorter in time length. Then after that, we would do a last visit to some places and buy some things before leaving.

So what should I do first? It's obvious. I just have to endure class. Thankfully, it will be shorter so I was a little happy.

After the hell known as 'class', I packed all my school equipment in my bag, even though I didn't use them. When I went to see on my two comrades, they were quite...disappointed?

"Did...something happen?"

They turned their head towards me while still packing their books in slow motion. Regrets could be shown on their saddened face. Aki sadly said,

"The class is over in such a small period of time."

"And it is the last day for this kind of lecture. This is really painful." Followed by Kinoshita.

Those two are incomprehensible for me.

"You two sure get along in a weird way."

They ignored me and continued to pack their stuff. They were slowly following me afterwards to the big hall. I slowed down from time to time so that I would not leave them behind. They kept down their heads while their posture of walking was horrible. Their body language clearly clarifies that they just had a bad day.

Contrary to those two, I was really excited. Since class ended, the only thing left for this program is the last visit. And we are heading to the hall for that purpose.

'At last, this stupid study camp program will come to an end.'

A huge grin appeared on my average-looking face, but it was good enough for the people to make a path for us, obviously to stay out of trouble. Ignoring these two gloomy friends behind me, we slowly but surely made our way to the hall.

All of the teachers and all the different classes were present. Mr Kimura started to talk some gibberish and I didn't care to understand the things he said. After that, we were told to return here at around 3:00 p.m. Since it was 10:00 a.m now, I guess we should've plenty of time to do some shopping.

"You are all dismissed!"

Mr Komori's rough voice resounded in the hall and I'm pretty sure that everyone has heard him clearly.

So the first destination was a pastry store called the 'Mon Pigeon Patisserie'. I heard people say that the pastry cakes in that store is famous for its tastes and how delicious it is.

I had an idea for these two gloomy people beside me. If the cakes are said to be really tasty, then that should work. By eating those delicious cakes, Kinoshita and Aki won't stay in this horrible state forever.

It's like the saying, 'The way for a person's happiness is through his stomach.'

Was it for a man's love or something like that? Anyway, it is the same thing.

We arrived near that pastry shop. There were already some people insides. We could see that because the door was transparent, allowing us to see how many figures were inside. And there was quite a large group. Well, it's alright.

I brought those two close to me and opened the glass door, which made a bell sound. Not the school bell but more like bells found on the neck of a cow. The pastry seller and the group of people were alerted by our entry.

I ignored them and went over to see the cakes which were exhibited behind a glass barrier. After some few seconds of looking onto the pastry cakes, I was about to order the cakes when,

"Sis?"

Me, Kinoshita and obviously Aki turned towards that voice and an unexpected person came in front of us.
