Leaving my house, I began to walk towards the exit of Alexandria and with a bunch of people awake; I naturally got the attention of the residents and saw Rick doing patrols in a cop uniform. Calling out to him, he turned towards me and immediately ran towards me asking, "Are you alright? You were asleep for two days!" I laughed and said, "I'm fine, the reason why I was asleep was because my body was fighting off the virus along with being exhausted from starving." Rick gave me a hug and said, "I'm glad you're alright. Did you meet Deanna already?" I nodded and told Rick what happened, "I woke up and a girl named Enid brought me to her. I had an interview, it was pretty fun and I managed to get a good deal. I have my own home and I'll be the therapist of this place. I'm going to be keeping to myself mostly, so unless it's really important I kinda don't want to be bothered."

I was a bit sorry for saying the last sentence but I want my own privacy and space. Rick nodded but not before asking a question, "Is there a reason why you want to be alone?" I gave Rick a hollow smile and said, "I prefer solitude, it's just how I am. I like spending my time alone and when I want human contact, I'll go seek it. Before everything that happened, this was how I lived most of my life while maintaining a good relationship with friends. We were distant but could immediately reconnect as if we saw each other yesterday." Rick patted me on the back and he told me that he understood before we both parted ways.

When I arrived at the gate, the woman who was on gate duty looked at me oddly before noticing my lack of footwear and asked, "You're apart of Rick's group, right? If you don't mind me asking... Why do you not have shoes on?" I laughed and said, "I'm from Rick's group and I lost my shoes when I escaped from a hospital filled with cops who were corrupt. Can you open the gate now? I want to scavenge for supplies." She didn't ask anymore questions and let me through the gate. I wasn't actually going to be looking for supplies, well besides chopping down a tree to make shelves and what not.

An hour later, I arrived with two carts that I found; one was filled with logs and the other had a couple things I might need with the top covered. Weapons? I didn't bring one and didn't find any, I can just create them. I had the top covered to make it a mystery of what was under it so I wouldn't be questioned of where I got the things that I'll have when I haven't left the walls. I arrived home and saw Jessie standing at my porch, it seems like she just arrived. I came up and left the cart of wood in front of the house before calling out to her as I came up the steps, "Hey, is there something that you need?" Jessie turned around and had a suit in her arms, it seems like she was dressed up for the party. "Oh, you were out. I just came by to give you this suit for the party. Since you said you preferred your robe, I thought a luxury of a suit would fit you nicely." I smiled and told her thank you, she was about to go but I asked if she could help me with the suit since I never worn one before. She agreed and we both went inside.

I changed into the clean pair of u.n.d.e.r.w.e.a.r after she faced away but I could tell that she took a peek or two. When I told her that I had the u.n.d.e.r.w.e.a.r on, she turned around and handed me the undershirt and pants which I quickly put on. "Tuck your shirt in, it's a suit not casual wear." I laughed and began to tuck the shirt in with her help for the the back side. Not too long later, I was dressed and all that was needed was the tie which she did for me while teaching me how to do the knot. The suit was gray and color with a few black stripes, making me look like a mafia boss if I had short, slicked back hair.

She smiled and said, "You look quite handsome now. The robe made you look like a martial artist from a dojo or something." I shrugged and said with absolute confidence, "I can definitely beat anyone in combat whether it be hand to hand, cold weapons, firearms, or anything related to combat." She said teasingly, "Alright, don't get too c.o.c.ky now." I looked at her and realized how beautiful she was, her smile was calming and being a mother is definitely a bonus. Unknowingly, I began to stare at her and she stared back at me. We both began to lean in towards each other and gave a light kiss, she smiled slightly while I blushed and looked away.
