A Different Story Of Peace In Skyrim

After the events off last night I don't remember much I just remember seeing my husband and our son staring down and wild saber cat, I never thought that my son would be the first one to shoot but after that I don't remember anything I just woke up in bed holding my son while my husband was sitting in a chair facing the door.

When he told me he was headed to the jarls to extend the patrol route I felt a little better but not much but I knew he would do what he had to especially when I saw him don his old leather armour, so that's when I realized next week was my son's birthday so I thought I would surprise him and get him something but he startled me by asking for a sword, but when I heard why I was touched only thing I said was " maybe not just yet darling." While we were walking to town I realized that each year on his birthday my son would always get something that made life just alittle bit easier, it made me happy he saved up so much money but he never spends it.

------------------------ Gulbrand's pov-----------------

I was pretty sure mama knew why I asked for what I did but I was happy, we were just reaching the archway to Riverwood when we saw around 20 wolf carcasses with the pelts still there but I hold off on skinning them till I ask a guard.

Gulbrand:" pardon me sir but is anyone going to skin those wolfs for the pelts?"

Guard 1:" no nobody wants to why do you ask?"

Gulbrand:" because we are here to sell a saber cat pelt and see about getting out door fixed, and I saw the bodies an was wondering why no one skinned them yet."

Guard 1:" where did you kill a saber cat?

Gulbrand:" it broke down our door but paw and I shot it and I was supposed to ask would you be able to extend the patrol just up to the house just incase?"

Gaurd 1 looks alarmed * of course we'll increase the partol route down to your house as compensation take as much pelts as you want."

I nods and turn to maw, " go on a head maw I'll catch up." I just turn and run over to the carcasses and skinny around 10 off them, and jog off into town and head towards the trading post and find mama waiting on me.

Mother:" did you get enough?"

Gulbrand:" nope I only took half."

Mama nodds and we both enter the trading Post and I walk up to the counter .

Gulbrand:" excuse me?"

Trader:" what do you want kid?"

Gulbrand:" I'm looking to sell some pelts if your able to take them?"

Tarder:" of course just let me look at them and I'll pay you the same as usual by how good of a condition that they are in."

Gulbrand:" thank you andif possible do you have anything to fix a door?".

Trader:" no , ok so the most I can do on the saber cat pelt is 30 gold coins and for the 15 wolf pelts I can do 10 coins for every fifth pelt so all in all you would get 60 gold would that work for you?"

I nod and take the coins and walk out to see mama talking with uncle Alvor, so I walk on over " maw I'm back he only gave me 60 gold, what were you both talking about." I ask earnestly.

Alvor:" your mother was just asking if I could come and help fix the door to the house, and I told her I would but we'll have to leave now in order to make it before the rain and sun down."

-------------------------2 hours later -------------------

Alvor:" well your door is fixed."

Gulbrand:" ok unlce Alvor how much do we owe you?" I go to reach for my coins purse.

Alvor:" don't worry about it your maw paid before you walked out of the trading Post."

Gulbrand:" ok , unlce Alvor could you teach me how to forge sometime I want be able to make my own weapon one day?"

Alvor:" sure but put a bit more muscle on you will start when you turn 16."

I nod excited for the fact he agreed just need to wait 5 more years.

----------------------------- 5 years later----------------

It's two weeks before I turn 16 and I'm excited because I get to learn how to forge, but first let's at least make it back home with today's spoils of my hunt. It's the that I see at pulm of black smoke coming from the direction of the house, fearing the worst I quickly sprint back, but my worst fear is true, my home is destroyed and burning and I notice two guys standing next to the wall laughing and stabbing their Spears into to something. Without even think I realize I have my bow drawn and a arrow loaded so knowing I calm down and fire the arrow and quickly fire another as both arrows hit both men in the back of the head.

Gulbrand:" MOTHER!!!!!!! FATHER!!!!!!!!! WHERE ARE YOU!!!!!!!!!" I run towards the house and see that the men where stabbing one of our animals so I run to the side where I see my father slowly bleeding out. "Father!!" I run to him and I try to slow the bleeding.

Father cuoghs up a mouth of blood and weakly says " the embershed mine behind Riverwood that is where their took your mother, go before they do anything to her but before you go look under our bed there is something you will need."

Gulbrand in tears " ok father I'll save mama rest easy you deserve to rest peacefully." Cry's and slides my hand over his eye closing them.
