Arthur's POV

Hunting alongside Ashena gone way better than I expected. She might be a big, scary and dangerous beast using the powers of darkness and fire accompanied with her impressive physical might she is still a loyal dog that loves to go outside and play with her human.

An instant dungeon filled with 10 meters high giant zombies is not an ideal dog park for normal people but since both of us are beings far from normal, we had a blast in this place.

I don't know if its a racial trait but Ashena's regular attacks were already carrying a corrosive attribute coming from her darkness affinity so when I was gathering 10 darkness spells for creating the < Darkness Magic > skill for her, I disregarded the direct attack type spells since they were already heavy on mana cost and I focus mainly on binding and debuffs type spells, then evasion, regular movement, and defensive spells followed.

Now with her new spells, Ashena has more options in fights. Before the creation of darkness magic, she could only dash forward and try to bite or hit her opponents with her claws.

Since I know that she likes to imitate me, I focus on her fighting build around spell < Shadow Tendrils >. She can use those tendrils to bind the bodies of her opponents, use them like pythons to surround that body and crush it or she can just use them to cut her opponents to pieces with finer control over her tendrils when she upgraded the skill tier.

Her abilities weren't just limited to this, with the < Shadow Travel > spell she can hide in any type of darkness or temporarily move through in an altered dimension filled with darkness to appear behind her enemy or escape if she can't fight against her opponent.

As for sonic scream... Well, I give her that spell mainly because I thought causing damage to others while roaring looks really cool, I don't know if Ashena accepted the spell because she thinks a similar way to me or she just did it because I said so but since it not something harmful for her, I see nothing wrong doing it.

Newly bough skills aside I would say her fighting instincts completely on a different level than mine. Even when she was using those skills for the first time against an enemy she was skilled enough to make me think I was slacking in my training.

Our fight against legion zombies was nothing special. These fodder's levels ranged from 30 to 35. They were certainly stronger than the normal zombies at the same level but there was nothing they could do against me and Ashena.

I used the combination of <Bound Longsword >, < Reinforcement >, < Haste >, < Soru > and my aura skill < Wrath of Blazing Hellhound >. I could actually buy a better aura skill but I didn't want to stretch out my attention anymore and decided to see what will happen when I maxed out the level of this skill too,

Unfortunately for my newly bought < Ebonyflesh (Metalic state of petrified god blood from elder scrolls) > spell, I need to reach level 5 in Rare tier Mana Manipulation skill so that spell had to wait for a while before I can use it.

With the combination of my spells, I fought in close combat and swiftly chop down the legs of the legion zombies, after that Ashena used her skills to finish off the monsters.

Since I didn't form a party with her, she gets all the experience from these fodders and leveled up way quicker than when she hunts with my clones.

As she is the one who deals the final blow I didn't get any coins from this hunt but at this point, couple thousand coins mean nothing to me, and Ashena sounds really cute when she asks me "have I done well ?" and obviously expecting a praise from me after every kill, it's really cute when I forget she only asks this after killing something...Well, forget that part I think my giant and deadly wolf cute anyway... and she gets used to talking like a human with each complete sentence so that a big plus on my part too.

After killing a hundred or so zombies I realized she was bored of this style of hunting, Her excitement of using her new skills has been past and I was the one killing her fun, turning her enemies into helpless weaklings waiting to be crushed.

Thinking about what to do, I remember an idea that Helen gave me before. I used my <Earth Magic> to create a giant hole around us with 30 meters in depth and 100 meters in width. After finishing the crater I guide Ashena to boost her voice with mana and then make her use her new skill < Taunt >.

A thundering roar spread through the forest and caused an uproar between the remaining monsters. After their initial confusion legion zombies start roaring back to us and start running to our location.

It was funny to watch them fall one by one into the hole I created, Ashena even tried to make a joke about them but I don't know if its because I am the only one who ever tried to tell a joke around and Helen isn't really a what you called an upbeat person but It turns out Ashena didn't know the difference between insults and jokes.

I nearly had a heart attack when she called the zombies " dimwitted fu*ks ". I usually use those words when use < Taunt > while hunting goblins... I guess she heard it from my clones when she hunted with them but I spend good 10 minutes explaining why I did use those words and why she shouldn't use them from now on.

In those 10 minutes, all of the legion zombies gathered in or around the hole. After my little chat with her, we start randomly trying our skills and spells on the zombies.

Killing all those zombies caused the boss of this dungeon to appear. A creature called Gravelord. It looks like a legion zombie heavily invested in bodybuilding. As height vise, it was similar to other legion zombies, but It was faster, stronger, and smarter than a regular legion zombie, but that was expected from any type of boss anyway, and honestly evolution or not it was not strong enough to pose a challenge to us anyway, so I let Asheana fight it by herself.

In this fight, Ashena showed me how smart she was once again. Making sure the enemy lose their rhythm and control the fight from start to the end. She avoided frontal confrontation and slowly consume the gravelord's health and when the opportunity arised Ashena trapped the boss in her field of darkness and killed the boss before it can realize what happened.

Watching her enjoying this fight... I don't know anything about training a puppy or raising a child, so it might be wrong to reward your child after lecturing your kid about what they did wrong but... We had fun today anyway and we got lots of time to fix anything done wrong in front of us.
