Chapter 43 - Empress

My eyes flickered again at her innocent laugh and I couldn't help but smile. A crazy idea had popped into it. My smile grew brighter as she moved her head closer to me.

She tilted it to the side at my bizarre behavior.

"Hahaha!"

I found myself laughing at what I was thinking of doing. This confused Zoey even more as she stared at me. I raised my one remaining arm and sent a fist right for her lower jaw.

*Crack*

I had thrown all my power into that blow and it had instantly broken by the force. Zoey barely flinched at the power, before laughing at my last ditch effort.

She smirked at my pain filled face and started to move my face closer again, she was going to take her time slowly while eating. She finally let her guard down as I sent my emotions of determination over to Ella.

Ella then, just when she was most venerable, jumped up behind Zoey and bit down onto her shoulder!

The teeth instantly slide in and took a big chunk out, as she screamed in pain. This was the most amount of damage we had inflicted yet. And it had confirmed what I had been hoping.

It was all I needed.

"Argh!!!!"

Zoey screamed out in pain at the suddenness of the situation and raised her head up to shout. In the milliseconds before she would react by throwing me away and dealing with Ella, I resolved myself and bared my teeth.

I was close enough!

Using all the remaining muscles in my upper body I craned my neck and took a huge bite into her throat.

My teeth sank in and blood exploded into my mouth, the sweetness invaded my throat and gushed down to my belly. I think I hit the major artery. I put more pressure into my mouth as I clenched down with my all.

The teeth continued to sink in and go through her esophagus, as Zoey finally reacted and threw me away.

I was biting with such strength that I ripped out most of her throat as I was sent flying. I flew through the air for a few meters before slamming into one of the walls. The air was kicked out of me and I think my spine was heavily damaged, as I fell to the ground.

"Father!!!!"

I only just keep my eyes open as I sat there, up right, just because of the wall behind me. I had slid to the ground in a sitting position, a perfect spot to watch the finish of the fight.

After her throat was ripped out Zoey reached up for it, as blood continued to gush out. She sent me a death glare and was ready to pounce towards me and completely rip me apart.

She may have been distressed about the blood filling her lungs and that half of her neck was gone, but she wanted to kill me first.

Ella didn't give her a chance as after she screamed out towards me, her aura intensified as I had never seen before.

She grabbed on to Zoey's back with dear life and also bit into the other half of her neck. As she was coming from behind, Zoey was having difficulty getting her off. She screamed hysterically as she tried to pry Ella off of her, but before she could she stopped.

*Crunch!!*

A load sound reverberated out as Ella teeth finally fully chomped down on her throat, the spine connected Zoey's head was instantly shattered and eaten. Blood flowed out at Ella swallowed and didn't give Zoey a slight chance.

Zoey's Eyes started to dim as a look of rage, reluctance and utter hate was sent my way. Ella continued on as her teeth ripped through the rest of her neck before she filliped her over.

I couldn't see Ella's face at this moment but I could feel her emotions. Her rage was being chilled by cold rage, but still bursting forth at a break neck pace. A ravenous d.e.s.i.r.e to eat was dwelling inside her and was overpowering her rational thought. I couldn't think straight and was having trouble keeping my self-awake, as she pulled back her hands.

She showed unprecedented levels of power as her fingers instantly pierced through Zoey's tough skin and tore her rib bones out. This was way above what she was capable of when she was fighting not 1 minute ago.

Zoey's beating heart was then ripped out from her body and devoured in a split second. She didn't even bother with anything else, as she moved up to her head and ate her brains. The feelings of ecstasy that were being transmitted where overwhelming, something else had to be going on here.

And as she finished the head and started to devour the rest of the body, a new message popped up in front of me.

Ah, so Ella was finally going to evolve into a zombie. I could understand if she couldn't think straight right now. But the conditions for her evolution were so high; she even needed to have a kin for it to happen.

Oh, so her infection strain is being upgraded. That is unexpected, I thought she was finally becoming a zombie but she was instead becoming an Empress class infected? Maybe that would be why the conditions were so high.

Ella's mind went blank, I could feel that she wasn't in control of her body anymore as she continued to eat.

I wonder how long this is going to take? I don't know how long I'll be able to keep my eyes open. At least I could relax, given enough time the blood I've lost and the bones I've broken will regenerate. Just as I was relaxing my mind and coming down from my hyper tension state, I was snapped awake.

Ella's aura exploded in a magnificent explosion pressing down on everything in the area; even I felt the threat she was emanating. It was in a state of change and was turning into something fiercer.

A sense of unending hunger assaulted me again and another box popped up.

I couldn't help but to grimace, what the hell. She had met the conditions but still needed all that blood to actually evolve.

She even needed my blood!

I was scared now, I couldn't move my body and Ella wasn't in her right mind.

She continued to ravage through Zoey's body and quickly finished her up. Her hunger was insatiable as she didn't leave anything, bones, blood and all were gone in seconds.

Her eyes turned a deeper red as she sprinted towards the huge pile of bodies at the entrance. I couldn't see the whole pile from here, but it was comprised of many, many corpses.

I could see a wolf type infected in the pile and even a mutant class infected lying there.

It looks like a multitude of infected in the hospital had tried to exit and roam around, but were stopped and eaten here.

It only took a few minutes for the huge pile of bodies to disappear, the box in front of me changed rapidly as she progressed in her evolution.

Zombie class strains, mutant class, beast class, royal class, human. It was all fulfilled as she ravaged through the pile.

Finally as she finished up the pile of bodies her hunger started to subside and she turned to me. She didn't sprint as she made her way over, she walked slowly.

I had panicked when I had seen the evolution requirements at the start. And I had even racked my brain on how to escape.

But after a while of worrying and doubting, I calmed down. I knew Ella; I knew she wouldn't kill me. It didn't say how much of my blood she would need. And I trusted her enough that she wouldn't suck me dry.

She finally stood over me as I weakly sat there.

She bent down and opened her mouth, staring to eat from my right arm.

The pain radiated through me but I didn't make a sound.

I kept quiet as I gave her a gentle gaze.

She looked up at me and her eyes started o shake. They had turned to a deep purple instead of red, it looked nice.

*Munch*

A felling of sadness was sent through her to me and I smiled.

She was still there.

*Crunch*

She continued to eat but soon left my arm and moved on.

*Munch*

She continued but I didn't do anything, the blood loss was starting to get to me and I wasn't sure if I would survive through this. But I still did nothing. I believed.

*Suck*

*Slurp*

*Crunch*

Just as I was about to lose consciousness the system sound resounded in my head. I think it could tell I couldn't see right now.

Tears started to rain down on my c.h.e.s.t as I realized Ella could think again. And could see what she had done. She rested her head against my c.h.e.s.t as she sobbed out.

I was lucid enough to lean forwards and plant a kiss on her head.

She stopped moving as I then laid back.

"It's ok Ella. Everything going to be okay."

I had no clue how much blood I had lost, or how much of my body had been eaten.

The system voice then continued to ring in my ear as darkness took me.
