A God's Apocalyptic Entertainment

Chapter 66 - You're Coming with me

"@@*%@*&%!*&%#*&!*#!!!!!"

I first moved off to collect the orbs the dead elves dropped. I then went to grab my bag that I left behind. I then finally collected the globe that Asura dropped.

Looking down at them I started to asses my gains. I hadn't had time to check after killing the stalkers before. The amount of gear that I got from the beasts was pitiful and they mainly gave entertainment points.

The real jackpot was Asura, not only did he give me abundant exp; he also had 1 piece of enhanced combat gear, the enhanced combat boots. I instantly crushed the globe and put them on; I finally had a full set of gear for both me and Ella, before only Ella had a full set of gear.

We had been able to get the gear as we killed stalkers and prowlers, but at the time it was better for Ella to have the best gear as she has better stats. Because of this, I gave her the priority with gear and she got a full set before I did. Now that I had the boots I was also rocking a full set.

Finally I reached the elves globes; they really were treated like humans. The globes in my hand listed off their first name, the exp I would get from them, entertainment points, and then gear. Looking through them a smile broke out on my face,

I had finally found a new weapon. It had to be better than what I was using right now. I didn't like having to use my teeth to kill them. The blood didn't taste very good. I quickly crushed the globe to look at my new weapon.

(Proper Sword (Green) – A blade that is actually fit to be used by a person. Everything before it can be considered trash that newbs would use.)

A polished sword appeared in my hand. It gave off a small shine from the peaking sun above and glowed faintly in the dark. I could feel the power that was coursing through the blade and it filled me with strength.

Reading the description, my mood soured as I thought of the damn shitty god that kept doing such stupid descriptions, could he at least do a proper explanation of what aspects it is better in.

Looking between the new sword and my old blade I raised the sword high. I could see how sharp this new sword really was.

Just as I was about to slam down the blade to see how it would go, I thought back to something I had read or watched before. I couldn't remember exactly when, but a memory surfaced that said, to do such a thing with a sword or blade, would be detrimental.

Unlike what was shown in anime or movies, it would actually chip the blade. My hand stopped and I put the blade to my side. I had a small belt that I could hook it on and keep. There was no use throwing it away, but it would be troublesome to carry.

Ella already had one so I couldn't give it to her. I sighed as I strapped it to myself.

I would be able to see how deadly the sword is the next time I fought a beast, I would be extra cautious, so no past mistakes could be repeated. Putting the sword to the other side of my hip I crushed the rest of the globes, and my exp sky rocketed.

(!Congratulations you have reached Level 12!)

(!Congratulations you have reached Level 13!)

These two messages popped up and I laughed, I could feel myself getting stronger.

But how long would it take before I could face a god?

I pushed the thoughts aside as I pulled up my status and Ella's. Time to allocate points.

I didn't spend long before I had finally allocated them.

After making sure everything looked right I finally turned my attention back to Kuro. The screaming had died down by now, and when I looked over at Ella I could see that she was almost done. Half the body was gone and there were no lungs left that she could scream from.

Of course she was long dead, and the fear and anguish in her eyes truly showed she had no peace in death. Kuro was staring at the scene raptly with a pale face. Unlike the time when she had to look away, she wasn't turning away.

I could see a small determination to keep watching in her eyes. Well she doesn't have to force herself, and I needed to talk to her.

"Kuro."

I called out to her as she snapped out of her daze and looked towards me. The way she looked at me was different than before, not that I cared but for some reason I felt the need to explain to her.

"She could have had a peaceful death, but even when she died, she was a despicable person. Cursing out at people she had never met before, even showing such disdain. She had no lee way anymore."

I took a breath as I looked at her.

"I need you to know that, I have good will towards you. You showed me around the town and approached me when I first entered it."

Her eyes shook minutely.

"And I will admit that you did nothing to provoke me when you first appeared here. That was more the uneasy feeling that I always get from you, rearing its head."

She looked relieved, but I had to get my point across.

"But you have lied to me. I know you have something to do with the golden light that appeared last week. I don't know if you are also connected with the golden light that appeared up here in the mountains."

Her face became pale again, as her eyes shifted to Ella who was about to finish up.

"Now I will ask you again and I want the truth. I don't have any more goodwill to give."

Her body shook and straightened, her eyes locking onto mine. She showed a determination towards me. How was she going to handle this?

"What is your name?"

Let's start with something simple. I asked her the question as my eyes sharpened in on all her expressions.

"Boosted KuroNeko."

I frowned, my gut was telling me she was telling the truth, and I also couldn't see any tell that she was lying. But there is no way that is her name.

"Your real name?"

My voice hardened.

"Boosted KuroNeko."

Her eyes didn't waver as she replied.

"What are you?"

"Human."

"What do you have to do with the magic circles in the middle of town?"

"I have nothing to do with them."

"What do they do?"

"I don't fully know what they do."

Fully know? I had finally caught her out on a lie, or as close to one as I could get, but what the hell does she mean?

"What do you know?"

"They transport people. It was how I got here."

My face hardened as I got this new information, there was a small likely hood that had appeared into my head after I looked at the magic circle but I wasn't sure. The main question now was.

"Where are you from!?"

I was anxious as a little idea sprouted in my head, it wasn't a good thought. I really hope it wouldn't become true.

"I'm from America."

I scrutinized her as I heard the answer, it didn't match up with what I thought would happen. From what I could see, she wasn't lying. My frown deepened as I asked her more questions about where she was from in America.

For the next 5 minutes I asked her questions about where she was from and couldn't see a lie from her.

I was relieved on the inside as my worst thoughts hadn't become true, thinking of that shitty god I wouldn't have put it past him, to do something so f.u.c.k.e.d up.

Knowing she was from America lowered my suspicion of her a tad, but didn't get rid of it. It did explain why she was so low leveled when I saw her in the town, and with this also happening to Asura, I found the connection between them.

Though he was a dumb a.s.s.

I asked her more questions before a small voice sounded in my head.

"Father, I'm finished."

I looked away from Kuro that was still staring at me and looked towards her. Her face had little blood on it as I had been teaching her to clean her face after she ate. I couldn't help with the blood on her gear, but walking around with blood smeared on the face was a bit much.

She showed me a smile as she walked over. The gear the elves where wearing wasn't the best and I had no motivation to pick it up. What surprised me was that Ella had the bow the Female elf slung over her back.

"Ella why do you have that?"

She threw a small peak at the bow before showing me a bigger smile.

"I like how it looks and want to use it."

I frowned at how viable the weapon would be in her hands. Having no training or knowledge about the bow, she would not have the same combat potential. I thought she was more suitable towards close quarter fighting, but this was her choice.

Not to mention the bow required the arrows, which we didn't have. Other than the ones dropped by the elves, we wouldn't have a stock of them.

'Are you sure?'

I sent a small message to her to make sure and she showed me an expression that I didn't usually see. Her face filled with determination and I got a quick reply.

'Yes Father. Some new knowledge has appeared in my head about this weapon and I want to try it out.'

I was a bit surprised about this, before I remembered that she had mentioned such things before. I gave her a solemn nod before patting her head.

Looking towards Kuro who was still staring at me, but in a more relaxed manner, I thought for a few seconds.

Walking towards her with an expressionless face, hers became stiff and looked at me warily. I reached out towards her and she flinched, before steadying herself.

I couldn't help but wonder how scary I really was. I don't think I was that bad.

Reaching towards the weapon that was on her waste I took it away from her. Taking it away I threw it a distance and then moved over to her bag. Filled with health and magic potions I really needed it. Plus I could also store more globes in the bag.

She was confused and wasn't sure what was going to happen. She had answered all my questions, but I still didn't trust everything she said. Something nudged me to keep my eye on her.

"You're coming with me."

I stood up and made my way towards were the gold light had come from.

"My weapons?"

Her voice came from behind me and was strained.

"No, I still don't trust you. I think you still have something to do with the gold light up here."

I looked back at her and she showed a depressed face.

"You would die on your way back anyways."

That brightened her face a bit, and as I watched her stand there for a few seconds, that small smile growing wider. She seemed really happy to be coming with us.

Ella who was standing to my side sent me a look, and frowned.

"Brother."

She was questioning my decision, and I could feel how unhappy she was.

I just sent her a smile and then smiled at Kuro who was still happy.

"Just think of her as a meal we can eat later, if needed."

Ella was placated after hearing that and showed a toothy grin towards Kuro. Kuro who was once smiling was now stiff and flinched at Ella's smile.

I gave a small laugh as we started to walk.

That was a small warning towards her, if she did anything that pissed me off, I would let her suffer the fate the Elf had.

My gut was telling me, she would be useful later on.

I need to watch her.
