Chapter 76 - Found them

A woman with green hair opened her eyes with weariness and looked in an eastward direction. She seemed to be staring at something, as a small spark went through her irises'.

The spark slowly faded and she turned her body around to look at the middle aged man behind her. He sent her a stern look.

"Well?"

His voice was harsh and demanding, as he stared angrily at the woman.

"Yes master, I have found them. They took the treants I had sent."

The man's frown deepened, as he took a quick step towards her and backhanded her in the face. The force was so great, that the woman was forced to her knees. Even though it must of hurt, the woman didn't say anything and not even a single tear welled up into her eyes.

She bowed her head in an apologetic manner and knelled in front of the man, while a hint of hatred surfaced on her face. She bent her head so that the man wouldn't see this.

"You useless thing! It took you so long, and you lost us some precious treants in the process!"

He sent a kick towards her head, at the last words, and a sickening thunk went out as it snapped her head backwards. This didn't kill her however and only a huge gash could be seen above her left eye. Even with this she said nothing and went back to the kneeling position, once she recollected herself.

This time she was a lot slower, as the damage caused by the foot was too much. Before she could properly bow her head, another strike was sent.

"Those bastards killed my son and daughter, they have to pay!"

He sent another 4 kicks into the body of the woman, as she continued to try and pick herself up and move back to the kneeling position. This continued on and by the time the man was done venting his rage, the woman was sprawled out on the ground and couldn't move her body.

A green type of blood was splashed about the place and her skin was purple in many areas. The man spat to the side and pulled a small vial out of his pocket.

Pulling it out he went to the dazed woman, who couldn't move, and tipped the contents all over her face. The red contents spilling all over, with little entering her mouth, after that was done, he once again spat out. But this time the contents fell onto the woman's face.

She didn't move as he turned his back on her and started to walk out of the room they were in.

"Clean yourself up and prepare to start making some new treants. I'll get others to go deal with those basters. You god damn plant."

He opened the wooden door that led outside and sun light poured into the room for a few seconds, before darkness once again engulfed the place.

*Bang*

Only through a little window, was light let through onto the crumpled body of the woman.

Her brownish skin was purple and bruised all over, as whip and scar markings filled her body. She wore little to cover up the amount of abuse she had been subject to and only had short ripped pants and a bra made of foliage.

*Spurt*

Some of the red liquid poured on her face spat back up, as she chocked on the potion down her throat. The rest that was splashed about slowly started to seep into her skin and kick into effect as time ticked on.

The purple skin started to recede as the potion kicked in, but the scars that riddled her body were still there, never going away.

After about 3 minutes the process was complete and her eyes that had been staring blankly at the dull brown roof, started to shift. They looked in the direction of where the male elf had left and a deep hatred started to burn inside her eyes.

It was almost all consuming, as it devoured all the light in her eyes. After 10 seconds of looking in that direction, the anger started to recede and was concealed behind a dull, uncaring look. None of the anger that was present before was left and her green eyes returned to normal.

She looked down at a small tattoo that adorned the skin above her heart and grabbed onto it with her left hand. She squeezed the skin with all her might, as if she wanted to rip he heart out, leaving her knuckles white and her skin once again bruised.

A little tingle of pain in her mind stopped her from what she was doing and she dropped her arm to her side. Taking a few deep breaths, she plastered a small smile on her face, and touched it a few times to make sure it was in the right position.

Once she was sure that it was done properly, she straightened her body up and looked at her surroundings. She looked at the small pile of leaves in the corner that doubled as her bed and the hole on the other side used as a toilet.

Clenching and unclenching her hands for another minute, she finally got to her feet and thought back to the people that she saw. She remembered the small group and the pressure that they put out. The power that they had shown made her eyes light up and made it easier for her to keep the expression on her face.

Her hands went and brushed the twigs and dirt that was on her torn pants and then went up to fix her hair that was in a mess. It didn't take too long before she was back to how she looked before

Moving over to the makeshift bed she used, she rummaged around in the leaves, before she found a small pendant. She looked at the pendant for 5 minutes, as for the first time her eyes started to water.

A small tear streaked down her face as she looked at the amulet, before she shook her head and put it away.

*Sniff*

She quickly wiped the tear away and slapped herself on the cheek 2 times to ready herself.

Once that was done she turned towards the door and walked over. She didn't turn back, as she turned the knob and went outside.
