7. The Vampires’ Ancestor (I)

Translator: ChowvanLee

If someone asked what was the most desperate thing, Yue Yang must raise her hand and speak!

In the dungeon, when you were trapped in the dead-end by three werewolves and you were barehanded, that was the most desperate moment!

Yue Yang stared at the three monsters in front of her while retreating slowly, until her back was against the wall. ‘Three monsters that are more than two meters tall fight with a little girl. Come on, what the hell! Please give me a weapon!’

The harsh reality was that Yue Yang didn’t have the strength to fight against the three monsters. They pounced at her together. Yue Yang subconsciously dodged their three sharp claws. She was lucky enough to avoid one claw but couldn’t avoid the other two.

Her face and arm were cut by two monsters’ claws. The blood instantly gushed out from the scary wound. Yue Yang felt a sharp pain and knelt on the ground, covering her chest with her arms. Strangely, she didn’t scream.

The werewolves launched an attack again, but this time, Yue Yang caught the arm of the first monster.

“Crack!”

Bones were broken.

The monster only saw a pair of red eyes and a strange smile before it died.

“It really hurts, you know!” Yue Yang smiled madly.

On the top of the dungeon, Lily Diya and two princes, along with their guards looked down quietly. Roars came from the dungeon.

“Your Highness, something is wrong. These voices sound very frightened,” The maid with silver-blonde hair said to Lily Diya, frowning.

“This toy is very special,” Lily Diya’s voice was low, too.

Time passed by. The roars started to weaken and the dungeon was silent at last.

Another half an hour passed and the dungeon was still silent.

“Your Highness, should I take some people down to have a look?” Said the maid.

“You stay here, if there is any living creature coming up before I come back, kill it.” Lily Diya sounded extremely stern and then she walked into the dungeon.

There were human-like corpses scattered all over the dungeon. They had one thing in common: they all seemed to be torn apart by someone.

Lily Diya finally stopped outside a broken wall. There was some blood on the ground.

Looking at the bloodstains, Lily Diya gave a bloodthirsty smile. She seemed to talk to herself, “Little toy, don’t get caught by me!”

Outside an ancient hall of the Twilight City, a small figure, all wet with blood, walked into the hall. It was Yue Yang that escaped from the dungeon. After killing all the monsters, she found a tunnel in the ground. She came here by climbing through the tunnel. She didn’t know where it was, but she knew that there was no Vampire and no building. She only saw an ancient hall, so she intended to hide here, waiting for the wounds to heal.

It was a very fierce battle in the dungeon. Even though she was a Vampire, who had a very strong healing ability, but the monsters kept attacking her and the wounds continued to increase. If she didn’t have the time to heal herself, she would get new injuries. At this time, Yue Yang’s body was covered in wounds and there was even a scary wound on her face, which tore her left eye apart.

Behind Yue Yang, there were a great many bloody footprints and some blood newly poured out of her wounds.

Yue Yang was walking more slowly and gradually she found it hard to open her eyes. She felt like she was dying. Somehow, Yue Yang really wanted to cry at this moment.

Her vision gradually blurred and then she fell to the ground, the blood spreading over the floor.

If someone looked down from the ceiling, he could see a strange scene. There were some strange lines on the floor of the hall, and Yue Yang was lying on the junction of these lines. Yue Yang’s blood spread out along with these lines and the blood eventually formed an image with Yue Yang’s body at the center. When the last stroke of the image ended, blood suddenly seeped into the floor.

The blood quickly flew through the lines, like a caravan looking for an exit in a dark tunnel.

“Ticking…”

“Ticking…”

In a luxurious coffin, blood was led to the lips of a mummy that had been lying there for a long time.

“Ticking…”

“Ticking…”

The moment the last drop of blood went into its mouth, the mummy slowly opened its eyes, a pair of scarlet red eyes.

In the Temple of Twilight City, Lily Diya was sitting on the throne, squinting her eyes and waiting for the subordinates to bring Yue Yang back. Under the throne was the silver-haired girl who killed the giant wolf with one sword and several guards.

Suddenly, Lily Diya looked in the direction of the ancient hall with her eyes widened.

“Who dares to disturb the sleeping Ancestor!” Lily Diya’s stern voice echoed throughout the hall and her childlike face was filled with fury.

Not only Lily Diya but all the other people in the Vampires felt that someone disturbed the Ancestor of the Vampires!

After a while, a large number of Vampires gathered outside the ancient hall. They were aristocrats with the blood of the royal family.

The crowd automatically made way for Lily Diya and she walked towards the hall grimly.

In the ancient hall lay the ancestor of the Vampires. It was a forbidden place even for the members of the Vampires, including her, the Queen. Unless the Vampires encountered something disastrous, all living creatures were forbidden to get close to the hall and any creatures close to the hall would be destroyed.

“Apologize to the Ancestor for your mistake in person.” Lily Diya looked at the team of the Vampire guards coldly, who were kneeling in front of her facing her scarlet red eyes. They had guarded the hall for around a thousand years, but today’s mistake was unforgivable.

After that, Lily Diya strode towards the hall. At this moment, even she felt a sense of fear.

After entering the hall, Lily Diya looked at the mummy in the middle of the hall with fear. She walked over step by step and stopped in front of it.

“Lily Diya, the seventeenth Queen of the Vampires. My Lord!” Lily Diya lowered her head and said to the mummy. Her trembling voice showed a hint of respect.

“Are you scared of me?” A hoarse voice came from the mummy’s mouth and no one knew its gender.

“Kid, tell me, why do you wake me up?” Its hoarse voice sounded a little stern.

“It’s incompetent for me to let the thief disturb your rest.” Lily Diya answered in a trembling voice.

The mummy remained silent and there seemed to be a trace of ruthlessness in its scarlet red eyes. It reached out its withered hand and wrapped it around Lily Diya’s fair neck. Lily Diya looked painful, but she didn’t struggle. She knew that it was an unforgivable sin to wake up the ancestor. It was reasonable even if she was killed by the ancestor.

Just as Lily Diya was held in the air by the mummy, Yue Yang slowly opened her eyes from a long coma.

The moment she opened her eyes, she was stunned.

‘What the hell? Why is Lily Diya, the little bitch in the air with her neck pinched?’

‘What the hell is this mummy?’

‘Damn, this mummy is so ugly!’

‘Damn, this mummy is absolutely powerful. It has been dead for so long but can still grab Lily Diya by the throat. Lily Diya can’t even resist?’

Also, it reminded Yue Yang of her life. Since this mummy could pick up the Queen of the Vampires by the neck, it could definitely kill her easily. She’d better run away while they were fighting!

So, Yue Yang intended to slip away, wriggling on the floor like a worm.

As she was wriggling, Yue Yang felt someone picking her up by the collar.

She stared at the withered face and a pair of scarlet red eyes in front of her.

“Ew…”

Yue Yang swallowed. Then she rolled her eyes and drooped her limbs.

Right, ‘dead’.

The situation became awkward.

“Haha, this kid is quite interesting. I have just been asleep for a hundred years. Have the Vampires become like this?” The mummy smirked.

“Underaged Queen, funny ‘sacrifice’. Haha, it’s quite interesting.” The mummy looked at Lily Diya and Yue Yang with interest. After the mummy said this, Yue Yang was thrown onto the floor. Even though it hurt, Yue Yang didn’t make a sound!

“Prepare food for me. I want to see what the world is like now.” The mummy said hoarsely.

“Yes, My Lord!” Lily Diya was about to cry. It was lucky that the ancestor who had woken up was good-tempered, or she would have died.

Lily Diya glared at Yue Yang who was playing dead. She didn’t expect that the toy she picked up would make such a big mistake. She must teach her a lesson later.
