A Journey Through...

Hours after Ray and Oliver went their separate ways; Ray teleported away from the A.R.G.U.S members and landed in an empty area, it was night right now so not many people would be awake, "Phew...I think it's about time I go home! Hey, Rid open a portal to home, I'll just come back here when I need to...", 'Affirmative!', the sky darkened and like the previous times lightning descended in front of him and made a door for him to enter, he floated towards the soul land world entering the door to see a blue sky and he was falling down, "Goddamn youuu!!", Ray then inwardly sighed and stop mid-fall and then looked at his surroundings, "Hey Rid!", 'Yes?', "You know when I said I wanted to go home, I meant back to my parent's house right?", '...', Ray looked around him to see the area covered in miles and miles of snow, the air freezing, a blizzard around him, "I'm in the northern continent..."

Ray went down into the snow, "Hm...the strength of the snow here isn't much, I guess this is thanks to my elemental resistance...well I guess this is a bit of a blessing, I can find a bunch of rings for my sliver dragon eyes yeah it really needs some new rings...", Ray then checked his current status.

Ray thought of what he needs when it came to getting new rings, 'Well the majority of beasts here are of snow, wind or ice, I mean Oscar did find that mirror beast here but I'm not sure if I'll get anything good from a beast like that...sigh...I'll just look around...', Ray began walking through the snowy plain like it wasn't cold, if other's saw this they would think he was mad, the northern continent is known as an unhabitable zone for humans and any who go here find it excruciatingly hard to survive in the conditions but if you have an abnormally high resistance to the temperature and terrain then you can survive for longer just like Ray who has a very, very high resistance to temperatures of this level.

Ray began to use his mental strength to detect what level of spirit beasts were around him, he needed something above the age of one hundred thousand which didn't help much when he was in such a place like this as he had little knowledge on, "Dammit! The highest I've spotted so far is just above fifty thousand years of age...", he muttered along the way he was going, eventually, he had walked for a few hours and thought to himself, 'Of f.u.c.k it! I'll just find that scorpion emperor', Ray closed his eyes, huge amounts of spirit energy and mental power surged around him and his eyes opened turning silver, an invisible wave of energy went outwards to thousands of miles as if it was looking for something, 'Come on where is she...', the field kept going and going for miles on end until it stopped into a deeper area of the northern continent which looked much colder than what Ray was currently handling but even this was still not enough for Ray to truly get cold, he began to look for a green like frosty aura and eventually found a whole nest, he had to look for the strongest aura among the multiple in the area and eventually found it the three hundred and eight thousand years old ice empress, Ray teleported a bunch of times into the direction and as he got closer he had to stop his field as the spirit beast would feel his presence the closer he got to it, he kept where his field had ended in his mind and continued on until he saw the numerous green scaled giant scorpions in the area, 'I don't wanna have to deal with this...', he thought as he turned into a black gasious state and slipped into numerous shadows until he got to where he needed to be.

A palace made out of shiny blue ice, frostbite to the touch for a normal human, Ray swiftly kept travelling along with the shadows until he entered a giant hall-like room, empty as spirit beasts didn't really need material objects such as tables and the like but he did notice a giant throne on the other side of the room, 'That must be her throne...', he thought as waited for someone to enter the room, he waited for quite a while before a bunch of scorpions entered the room talking among themselves before they went and turned into two rows of scorpions and stood still as if they waiting for someone to walk in the middle and soon enough someone did come, an ice scorpion much larger than the others appeared strutting past them with her icy aura along with her, green scales almost like a living emerald statue, Ray looked at it and thought, 'She looks way cooler in person and bigger, damn, how reflective are those scales, scratch that, how sharp are they? She could probably kill dozens of people just by walking past them!', Ray quickly got rid of this thought and carried on watching.
