Lexi picks a pink bodycon dress and a gray blazer. Even her mother whistles when she saw her.

"No one will ever say that you are not my daugther. Look at you...stunning! You sure you are going to work not a date?" Ellie Min teases Lexi.

"Ma, take care of Carl. I will be back with all my things later. I need to be pretty at least. This is my last day." Lexi feels light. No regrets. She can still work multiple jobs at home while being with Carl. This is a dream job but she can't risk the safety of her son.

When she arrives at the C Company everybody is busy. She is here at 7 am but company is already swarming with employees. Others are busy arranging the boardroom..others are carrying flowers, arranging them. While she walks, stares of admirable are being thrown at her direction. Lexi went straight to the boardroom and fired her laptop. She reads some of the emails and did an endors.e.m.e.nt email for the person who will replace her. She checks her bag again and saw her resignation letter. She hears knocks and saw Ana and Lei peep through the door.

"I can't wait!" Ana and Lei both yelled. "Can you imagine? We will get to see Alexander up close in person!" Lei said while daydreamingly sits down.

"Hey Lexi! Where is your engagement ring? You did not even tell us that you are already engaged." Ana looks at Lexi suspiciously.

"Oh no! I forgot it at home. Maybe because of the morning rush." She tried to look sad. She knows that Mario will be here and he might make a big fuss once he saw the ring on her. "It was very fast. He was one of my online clients. His name is Carl. We just saw each other once." She practiced this thousand of times. Thankfully this is the last time he will use his son's name in vain.

She received a text message from Rose that it is about time for them to greet the President.

When the three of them stepped into the lobby, others are already in place to greet the guests and she joined the Directors but still she got Ana and Lexi at her side. "Oh God! I am really so excited! I am trembling!" Lei whispers. Enough for Ana and Lexi to hear.

Lexi put her game face on. Knowing that she will meet Mario today, she spend the night rehearsing for her reaction, facial expression and the things she will say. She is ready. While they stand on to greet the guests, a black SUV stops in front of them.

"They are here." Rose announced.

Lexi's heart jumped. She thought she is ready but a pool of tears are threatening to flow once she does a wrong move.
