Lexi carefully opens the door and grateful that Alexander leaves the room. She immediately went to her walk in closet and checks for a dress. Basing on the suit that Alexander is wearing, this is a formal event. She only have one formal dress and she hesitantly reaches for it. It is a red tube dress. It is a bodyco so it ia body hugging and the hem just passes below knee and has a side slit. She will surely catch a lot of eyes because of the color. She takes a deep breathe. "This will do. As if I have a choice."

Lexi is combing her short hair when Alexander enters the room. He immediately stops when he sees her. She looks so elegant. Even when a boy cut hair, she looks so beautiful, like a modern goddess sent from heavens.

She stands when she senses him and and slowly walks towards him. She is like gliding. He can say that Lexi's body became fuller from more than a year that they have not seen each other. Her b.r.e.a.s.ts are bigger and her h.i.p.s is wider. Her new body suits her and he aches all over to touch her and see her n.a.k.e.dness. Alexander knows to well that it is too early for that. He needs to wait.

"Let's go" Lexi didn't even glimpse to Alexander and goes straight to the door.

Alexander was stunned for a second and happily follows her. "Well, maybe it is too obvious to say that you look amazing." Alexander smiles while he opens the passenger's seat.

"You are not bad yourself Mr. Lu". Lexi still not looking at him.

Alexander starts the engine and they are on their way to the dinner party.

"I know that you hate me for the things that I did and especially for the things that I didn't do. I am not going to force myself to you but you can't make me leave you again. I will stay".

Lexi looks outside the window. She can see blur lights and images as they drive through. She is not sure what to say. Of course, she wants him to stay but she doesn't want to hope again. She doesn't want to be hurt and especially she wants her and her son safe from the noise and mess of his world.

Leci didn't respond. She sits still and quite all through out the ride.

They arrive at the new building of the Lu Group of Companies and their are media outside. She inmediately grabs Alexander's hand. Alexander looks at her hand and to her face, he can see that she is scared and worried.

Alexander give a reassuring smile. " All is well. I don't care anymore of they would see me and especially I don't cate if they know that I am with you. I want everyone to know that I am with you." He opens the driver's door and as he circles to her side, she can see flashes of camera's. Lexi is very nervous. A lot of worries comes to her mind. She can be seen at the television. Her mother will see Alexander. She will know the father of Carl. Her son will be exposed to this mess.

Alexander opens her door and extends his hand for her to hold. Does she want to hold his hand? Does she really like to step out and let the world know about her and Alexander? Can she take it? His world? She looks at Alexander's hand and the to his face.

He looks calm and relaxed. He gently smiles and patiently waits for her hand. She didn't see any impatience. He just stands there hands extended a d smiling.

She places her hand on his and he gently pulls her out of car. She was momentarily blinded by the flashes.

Unlike other events on TV, no one dares to open their mouths. They are just taking pictures. She looks up and saw Alexander looking down at her lovingly. "You are so beautiful." He whispers as she blushes away.

As they enter the grand hall. Alexander stops and looks around. He is surprise to see a press conference. No wonder no one is asking questions because of this.

Lexi saw an old man giving a speech and beside him is the blonde goddess she saw that day. What the hell is happening. Lexi instinctively pulls her hand but Alexander didn't allow her. All eyes on them.

"At long last, here is my son Alexander Lu. We can now start the press conference for my son's engagement to Ms. Vanessa Zhang."
