Ken was shocked at the destruction that a single beast was able to do in a short time. It looked like a scene after a war of nuclear weapons.

Suddenly, the ground quaked a little and Ken sensed another strong presence. But the new one was clearly weaker.

'F.u.c.k! Another one?! Seriously, what's up with this world?' Ken was shocked by the appearance of another beast. Even with his previous life experiences, it was not even enough to fill the teeth of what he was experiencing now.

He calmed down and asked the Black Ball out of curiosity, 'Hey, wanna eat that one too?'

Thump!

'No? Why?' Ken found it odd that the Black Ball did not want to eat the other one.

Thump! Thump!

'It already has an owner? It is tamed? Those things can be tamed?' It was another shock to Ken. 'Does that mean that there are people as powerful as those things?' If that was really the case, doesn't that mean that I could become one too?

Ken clenched his c.h.e.s.t from excitement. His calm heartbeat slowly increased with speed as thoughts about the future dawned on him.

'When was the last time I felt this way?!' He could no longer remember the last time he felt great anticipation, excitement, and the innocent dream of becoming the strongest!

As he thought about it, with the new element called "chakra" in this world, the possibility to become truly powerful was high. Not the background, not the politics, not the connection, but true power!

"Hee!" Ken grinned as fire seemed to burn in his eyes. At this moment, the whole being of Ken was ignited!

But right now, there was a more important thing to do! Ken looked at the direction of the Kyuubi and started to walk. With every step he took, Ken could also feel the eagerness of the Black Ball. If it was a human, Ken could picture a kid drooling uncontrollably.

Ken walked around dodging debris that blocked the way while also keeping his sense over the surrounding. Cause if people will see him, he was sure to be sent back to the safe shelter.

The high pitched scream of the Kyuubi that could kill rival even Mariah Carey's whistle echoed throughout every direction. It opened its hollowing mouth and concentrated chakra was slowly forming. Ball of concentrated chakra gathered to a single point in front of it's mouth, forming a fearsome and large sphere of chakra. This was one of the few moves of a tailed beast, Bijuudama!

Not far from the beast an old man, the Third Hokage, also known as Sarutobi Hiruzen, fell down to his knee. His face was grim and sweat trickled down his face. He held a huge, black staff and felt really helpless.

"That attack again?!"

"Third Hokage-sama!" The man beside the old man immediately supported the old man. They were really helpless against the beast.

They could only watched helplessly as the ball of concentrated chakra slowly forming.

At this moment, a huge shadow suddenly fell from the sky! It was a huge red toad with a huge pipe in its mouth. And standing on its head was a Minato!

"Bam!" The Kyuubi who was concentrating on its Bijudama was instantly pinned down the moment the huge toad made contact. The Bijuudama that it was forming was instantly cancelled.

"That's!.."

"It's the Fourth Hokage!"

But still, although the Kyuubi was pinned down by the huge toad, the Kyuubi did not resist and just concentrated in forming another Bijuudama.

"I need you to hold the Kyuubi down for a bit!" Minato shouted as determination flashed in his eyes.

"That's easier said than done!" The huge toad replied with with a grunt. If it wasn't because the Kyuubi was not really trying to resist, the huge toad, also known as Gamabunta would not last long.

"I'll need a lot of chakra to send something this big away." Minato replied calmly. But still, there was a hidden hint of worry in his voice.

"Grwaaaaaaaaaaa!" Suddenly the Kyuubi released another scream and the Bijuudama was completed. Without hesitating, it moved its head and the huge violet ball of chakra entered its mouth.

But at the moment that the Kyuubi was about to release the attack, It suddenly disappeared from the spot and Gamabunta who was pinning it down fell to the ground.

"Minato? Did he teleport the Kyuubi with him?!" Just as the old man said that, a white flash lit up the surroundings before it instantly dimmed.

Flash! With a flicker, Minato appeared on top of a branch, but this time, he he held a lady with red hair on his right arm and carried a baby wrapped on his left arm. The Kyuubi was just behind them, still groggy with its recent awakening.

"I have to put a barrier up right away!" Minato gritted his teeth as his body trembled. He panted heavily and his eyes showed extreme exhaustion. He had already expended a lot of chakra when he fought that black robed man. He also use a large amount of chakra to teleport 2 Bijuudama. And the second time, he even teleported the gigantic Kyuubi with him.

It was already incredibly astonishing that he was able to do that, and for him to still be able to hold on was probably because of adrenaline rush and his determination to protect the village!

"I can still do it, Minato." At this moment, the faint voice of the woman with red hair on Minato's right arm spoke. Her eyes also showed great exhaustion and she was only able to move thanks to Minato's support.

Blood was trickled from the corner of her mouth, but she bit her lower lip and suddenly, five golden chains emerged from her back.

The chains made its way towards the the Kyuubi and before it could react, it was instantly bind by the five golden chains! The chains tied all of its nine tails, its neck, its limbs and its whole body! Who would have thought that this weak and exhausted lady would be able to lock the Kyuubi that even the hundreds of shinobi's could not do!

"Cough! Cough!" The lady with red hair coughed up a mouthful of blood and had touse her hand as a support.

"Kushina!" Minato who was beside the lady called out from worry.

"Uwa! Uwa! Uwa!" the calm baby suddenly went crying.

"Did I wake you up? I'm sorry, Naruto." Kushina looked at the baby on Minato's arms. Her eyes spoke volumes. This was the love of a mother, an endless unconditional love that! This was the her newborn child!

The pain that came from her internal wounds could not even compare to the pain she felt the moment she took a look at her crying little child. The instant she thought about the future her child grow up with no mother made her heart tremble.

Still, she already made her decision.

"Kushina!" Minato immediately raised his head to look at the woman! His woman! No, his wife! As smart as he was, he already noticed the underlying meaning behind Kushina's words.

"I'm going to draw the Kyuubi and die. I'll be able to delay its resurrection for the time being. I'll use my remaining chakra to save all of you." Her voice trembled from time to time. Smiled widely and said, "Thank you for everything..."

"Kushina..." Minato looked at the woman as his heart trembled.

"You made me the Fourth Hokage."

"You made me your man!"

"And now you made me a father!"

"Even then..." His voice turned louder as he talked. Memories of the past slowly emerged from his head. Those days he spent with the woman in front of him. Those lovely and sad memories that they experienced together.

It pained his heart that he could not even do anything to help his own woman! He knew... He already knew that to save everybody, she is willing to sacrifice her own life! It sent shiver down his heart that her woman, his wife, his Kushina was dying!

"Minato, don't look so sad. I'm happy that you loved me. Besides, today is our child's birthday. Above all, when I think about our future together as a family if I lived, I can only see... a life full of happiness." As he listened to her, Minato could no longer hold his tears. It fell down unrestrained. He really wanted to scream! He wanted to let out his resentment towards the heavens! His anger towards the black robed man! And his hate towards himself!

The only thing that repeatedly echoed in his head was, 'Why?! Just why?! Why me?! Why us?!'
