A Trainer's Tale: Can He Resist A Pokemon's Charm!?

I have been working on this fanfic, ever since the first day that I encountered a writer block in my first book.

I really don't have any plan to make my protagonist of that first fanfic, Ariyoshi Hiroto, to visit the Pokemon World.

It is mainly because, the timeline is so messed up. There are too many timelines, Universe, and other stuffs that are completely messed up, others can't follow it.

If you are an avid fan of pokemon, then you might already know that the games took place in different universe. I think that Game Freak also scrapped the Mega Evolution thing. Reason being, the pro scene became too bland when it came along. You just need to mega evolve at the right time and BOOM! You win the match.

That is why, in sword and shield, they have Dynamax and Gigantamax things added. It only ups the pokemons HP pool, if I'm not mistaken(correct me if I'm wrong).

Now, back to my fanfic. I would advice all of you who will read this to never bother about the timeline. Because, as it was written in the Prologue, this is a completely different world of pokemon.

The idea is simple, stronger beings named 'Ultra Beasts'(Introduced in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon) invaded the Pokemon Universe, leaving nothing behind, even all the legendaries.

As stated in the pokedex entries of Buzzwole and other Ultra Beasts, they are 'just' common organisms in where they came from. Meaning, there is a s*** ton of them in their world. What's more, this 'common organisms' are almost as strong as some legendaries. Imagine how strong the 'legendaries' in their world is.

So, this new pokemon world was created due to the God of Creation being too bored and decides to look for an interesting world, stumbling upon the word of the MC, where the MC has created a game called Pokemon: Genesis.

Characters here are mixed up in different universe(all of those that I know of), and mashed up to create this world. My first fanfic is already full of world building stuffs so I won't go over it 'too much'.

If you have read the Child Rearing of Japan, where the MC was transferred to another world after dying, just to take care of two children, who is, 'by chance' the son and daughter of a God.

Like that, this will be a slice of life, pretty laid back, fanfic with some battles with it. In this world, pokemons can use combination moves, like what Dawn did with her Piplup and (I don't remember the other one).

Battles would be pretty straight forward. Priority moves will be followed, but it still can be dogded. Pokemons won't just stand there and let themselves get hit, that's stupid.

So, to fix the idea of, trainers catch pokemon to battle their kind. I have employed a 'duel' thingy. Where the trainer and the pokemon would 'challenge' the wild pokemon, and if it was accepted, the battle will begin. Of course, it also works the other way around. If the pokemon attacks them, then you should retaliate too, no?

I have mentioned it in a chapter of this fanfic but I'll reiterate it here. Pokemon, in general, follow the rule of the wild; The dog eat dog world; Strong prays the weak; And they all want to be strong, that's why, they attack trainers and civilians. If they are defeated in a battle, or saw that they like the trainer, they would follow his orders 'most of the time'.

Trainers also get their salaries from the professor who 'hired' them to get some datas for their research, and those professors are funded by the league, who buy and sell pokemon(those that are raised by them or caught by trainers). Those pokemon that are domesticated(pokemon that are raised by humans) aren't so aggressive. But if it is one of those that are caught in the wild, they would ignore the trainer's instructions. Because, like I said, they think they are 'weak'. Not unless they like their trainer, or the pokemon is just that friendly, then they will listen or if the pokemon deemed them to be 'strong' enough.
