A Trainer's Tale: Can He Resist A Pokemon's Charm!?

A little boy, around 5-6 years old, with silver-colored hair, can be seen sleeping with an ordinary looking egg by his side.

An old lady who was walking along the way saw this, and immediately came towards the boy.

"Young lad, are you okay? What are you doing here?" the old lady said.

Hearing the unfamiliar voice, the young boy opened his eyes. Green eyes, like priceless emeralds, were shown, looking at the unfamiliar old lady in front of him.

"Who… are… you?" asked the voice in confusion.

"Hmm? I am Carolina Shmitt. You can call me Grandma Carol," the old lady, now named Grandma Carol, replied.

"What about you, young lad. What is your name? Why are you here?" Grandma Carol asked.

"I-I am… Jeid Aeros, I-I don't… know… why… I'm here," said Jeid.

He really doesn't know why he is here, or where he is right now.

'Were the heck did the God drop me off to?' he thought.

That is when, something he didn't expect happened.

[Menu is booting up… Menu's System is warning the host to prepare for 1 hour sleep!]

Hearing this, Jeid panicked. He looked around, and saw an ordinary looking egg.

'This might be a gift from God, I have to somehow find a place to sleep before this Menu thing start the booting process,' he thought.

"U-Um… grandma, can… you… take… care… of… this… egg… for… a… while? I… feel… sick, I… feel… like… I'm… gonna… faint," he said, as he really feel weak.

[Menu's booting process will start in 30 seconds!]

"What!? Child? Child!" said Grandma Carol, she tried to wake up the slowly sleeping Jeid.

After 30 seconds, Jeid lost consciousness. Seeing that all her attempts was futile, she decided to pick up the little boy and the egg.

"I guess I will need the help of an old friend. Come out, Garchomp!" said Carolina, as she tossed a ball that has a white bottom half, and a red top half with a button in the middle.

The button glowed in a red light and the ball opened up. What came out of it is huge, bipedal monster that has sharp, fin-like things on its arms. It resembles a dragon, its c.h.e.s.t has a red hue and its forehead has a star-shaped symbol.

"Garrr… Garchomp?" the creature said, as if asking for confirmation.

"Please, we need to take him to the town! I'll take care of the egg beside him," said the grandma.

She has noticed the egg when she approached the little boy, but seems like it is just a pokemon egg and it being next to him, she concluded that it might have a connection with the boy.

After arranging her thoughts, she picked up the egg and went towards the said town.

\\~~At a town called Celestic Town~~//

Grandma Carol arrived at her house, it is a two-story building that has a modern design on it.

Although this place can be called a town, the houses are constructed in a similar style as Grandma Carol's house. Paired with a grassy lawn all around the town and some flowers and trees, the town sure is a sight to behold.

Just before Grandma Carol could open the door, a little girl around 3 to 4 years old opened it instead.

The girl looked at her grandma, that just arrived after picking up berries in the forest, now carrying a boy around her age.

"Grandma, who is that?" asked the little girl while tilting her head to the side.

This little girl has blonde hair and gray eyes. Her hair is styled in twin-tails and some of her bangs were on the side, framing her cute and delicate face.*

(A/N: her hair is styled like that of konjiki no yami or Yami-chan. She's from the anime, To Love Ru.)

Grandma Carol was stunned at first, but recovered fast. She looked at her granddaughter with gentle eyes and said,

"Ah, this is a boy that grandma found in the forest while I'm picking berries. It seems like he has nowhere to go, so grandma decided to take him home."

Hearing her explanation, the little girl seemed like she heard a divine revelation, widening her eyes and covering her mouth with both hands cutely.

Looking at her granddaughter's reaction, Grandma Carol couldn't help but chuckle. She knew why this little girl is shocked.

In this world full of wild pokemon, staying outside is very dangerous. That is why, children are taught some basic knowledge about combat, and how to avoid leaving trails in a forest, in case a wild pokemon is chasing them.

Although their region is quite civilized, it isn't the case for other regions. That is why, it became a necessity to teach children how to survive in the wild.

"He isn't hurt though, he just fainted. It seems like he is exhausted from all the things that happened to him," Grandma Carol added.

Hearing her words, the little girl finally relaxed. She thought that the boy was hurt. A lot of villager onee-sans and onii-sans told her that going inside the forest is dangerous, so she never tried to go there.

"Let's go inside and let this boy rest first. Being inside the town is safe since it is surrounded by barriers," Grandma Carol said, urging her granddaughter to go inside.

"Un! I'll help out grandma!" saying this, she grabbed the egg from her grandma's hands and carried it inside their house.

Looking at her granddaughter's actions, Grandma Carol couldn't help but smile.

"This kid really is such a good girl. I guess that this event is a blessing in disguise. Since her sister had gone to the city for her studies, little Aira became quite sad. Now, she will have someone to play with," Grandma Carol said, before walking inside their house with her Garchomp trailing behind her.

'We'll just wait until the little boy wake up. I hope he can be my granddaughter's playmate.'
