A woman hopelessly in Love

Shirley gave him a look that caused like a thousand daggers to pass through his heart.. he was stunned and all that he could say after a while was "Hmmm" and gave nod. Shirley responded " Is it a yes, Mr Marshall?" He cleared his throat " huhhh.. Yes I agree. But you will have a bodyguard with you at all times. As you are Micheal's doctor people may try to harm you . I can't take any chances with my brothers recovery."Saying that without even waiting for a response he got up from his chair and started walking towards the door. Shirley yelled " You just can't order things and expect me to accept things as per wishes you know! " He smirked and said " Try me! " and continued walking out the door.

Shirley was furious and in lost of words with his dominating behavior. She knew she was getting herself into something which she will regret it later. She calmed herself down and asked herself to endure it. And kept repeating " Only a while, just till Micheal wakes up." Lily walked in with a cold drink as she knew her Boss is going to be furious as she heard Mr Marshall say with a smirked smile while leaving" Try me!" And with the magazines reporting his cold and rude behavior she could just guess what would have went down.

Shirley took the drink and started sipping it and calming herself Lily sat besides her. She calmed down and told Lily " I will be not taking many inpatient and planned surgery's anymore I will be going on small break. So plan my OPD for just consultation for my old patients twice a week. Rest let Dr George handle it. I have had a word with the Director only specific cases will be assigned to me." Lily nodded but with a sad look. Her look said it all that she is going to miss her Boss a lot but she didn't dare utter it.

Shirley stood up touched lily's head in affection and said " Kiddo,I will be coming around twice a week don't be disheartened. Ok.. come on let's have dinner together.. cheer up!" Lily lit up instantly and started to make her way to pack up. Shirley walked towards her window glanced outside and sighed. She heard a knock on the door and turned to see that Patrick was standing there with a letter she was walking towards him when her phone rang. It was Naomi she gestured with hand for Patrick to have a seat and answered her phone. " Hello" after a while Patrick just heard a saddening voice full of urgency" when, who told you? Ok call your agent book me on the next flight." Shirley kept the phone and leaned on the window railing. Patrick interrupted " Dr Shaw is everything alright?" .

Shirley calmed her self wiped of the tears from her eyes and turned to Patrick and said " Everything is fine. Please tell Mr Marshall to go ahead and shift Michael as planned I will be shifting tomorrow evening. Have some personal matters to settle." Patrick nodded in agreement and walked out of the room. He walked straight out and made a call " Boss something is not right with Dr Shaw She was crying on the phone." He said what had happened to him in detail. Mr Marshall replied " Find out the details and get the Private jet ready." Patrick kept his phone and made his way towards Lily.

Dr Shaw gave lily a call from her land phone and said. " Lily something came up we will have dinner some other time. Get me a driver to drive me to the airport I am going to my hometown." Lily responded , " No worries ma'am I will get it ready." Lily kept the phone only to see Patrick standing in front of her Lily quickly responded " Ma'am is goin to her hometown something urgent came up she can't meet you now." He just nodded and turned just to see Mr Marshall standing behind him. Mr Marshall didn't even mind asking anything and walked directly towards the OPD consultation room, he opened the room to find Shirley on phone saying " Not a single ticket, I know it's at the last moment but you know how importantit is for me to go.. I know .. Ok please try."

Daniel could sense a vague feeling build up in his chest listening to her sad voice filled with urgency and regret... He made a sound by clearing his throat to make his presence known " Hhhh..". Shirley realized that someone was in, so she wiped her tears off and said while turning " I am not seeing anyone today..." and stopped half way... " Mr Marshall? " Daniel responded "You need to be somewhere? , May be I can help!" She just starred at him not responding. He continued to say " As I owe you a big one this is justa small payback. Don't think too much. " He gestured to Patrick to explain the details and left.

Patrick rushed to her side " Ma'am I informed sir that you need to go to your home town and you are not getting tickets , so he has arranged his private jet to take you home. We can fly as soon as you are ready"Shirley was out of words and didn't know how to respondand just cleared her head and said to herself 'All I need now is to get home.' She nodded, lifted her packed bag that she kept in office for emergency sake and said " We can leave now."
