The concentration surging through a magic user in full focus was unmatched. Destruction and chaos could result in massive amounts from a single human who was powerful enough to fully master the art of magic. Full control and accuracy could take years of practice to achieve, still leaving gaps for further improvements nonetheless.

However, someone could dedicate their entire lifetime for perfecting their unique magic abilities, only to end up losing to someone less proficient, but greatly stronger. No matter the case, this was still a one-sided fight. Abbadon had skill, power, and nothing to lose. Atlas was brave, but the essence of their magic was too far apart.

Atlas leaped at Abbadon countless times, failing to even get near him. Abandon would either let his magic do the work, or grasp Atlas from the ground, only to throw him back with his corrupted black vines.

Abbadon's magic wasn't unique in any way, he was just purely strong. Especially after many years of practice.

The evil in his heart spread to his magic, fading it from the golden rays of sunlight to the depths of a dark abyss. His magic corrupted his soul, thoughts, and actions, leading him to a path of malevolence.

Atlas's magic was starting to decrease in capacity, considering he needed to use it to even attempt launching a successful attack. Small bruises and cuts started to appear from the countless times he failed his pursuit.. At this point, Abbadon was toying with him.

"Man you sure don't give up do you?!" Abbadon laughed, "I could just kill you at any moment… But it's way more fun seeing you fail a multitude of times." He laughed again.

"It doesn't matter how much i fail." Atlas replied in a strong voice. "Because you will still die here today. Even if I don't do it, my friends will end you. That, I am sure of." Atlas smirked.

"And where are your FRIENDS now Atlas? Because I don't seem to see them, in fact, they're most likely slaughtered by now."

"YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH! Don't underestimate them, they're much stronger than you and me."

Abbadon flourished into a sea of laughter, nearly shaking the ground beneath them. He finally decided to launch an honest attack at Atlas, still holding back his intentions to kill.

Atlas used this opportunity to hop back onto the rocks behind him to dodge. However, he also used these rocks to launch himself forward with his magic to propel him from the bottom of his feet.

Abbadon didn't expect this outcome to appear, not having enough time to grasp him from the air with the speed he was traveling at.

It only took half a second for Atlas to fly horizontally at his opponent about 50 feet away, caulking his fist back and transferring his magic energy to harden his knuckles.

Abbadon locked eyes with Atlas through the air, trying his best not to show sign of freit and retreat, ready to take the blow head on.

"AUGMENT!" Atlas yelled as he swung his fist straight into Abbadon's face. The depths of his knuckles felt to sink in at least a centimeter before sending the man flying at tremendous speed into the wall of Mentalism.

Atlas has never punched someone before with a magic spell, truly seeing how monumental the damage would be. He paused for a moment to look at his fist, and then at Abaddon's crippled body sliding down against the wall.

There was no blood, but his face was obscured. Skull fully broken for sure, collateral brain damage and large splurts of dark liquid exiting tiny wounds made from the impact.

The chamber trembled in what seemed like fear, ready to fall apart any second. Atlas was amazed at himself, starting to walk towards Abbadon's lifeless body on the floor to confirm his suspicions.

However, he stopped dead in his tracks as he noticed his head slightly twitch into its correct position. Followed by another twitch, and another until his jaw popped back into place. One injury at a time, Abbadon's face slowly snapped back into alignment, showing the most treacherous grin Atlas had ever laid eyes upon.

Abbadon sprung himself on his feet, cracking his neck to confirm it's position, "Man.. That was unexpected!" He started walking towards Atlas, "You sure got some punch in you kid."

"H-How are you a-alive?" Atlas gulped as his fear finally kicked in.

"You see Atlas, the bigger question is how you actually managed to wound me. It's been awhile since I've truly felt pain, so It seems like I have to return the favor."

Atlas had nowhere to go, thinking of what to possibly accomplish to save his life. He could see that Abbadon had no intention of keeping him alive any longer. The glare in his eyes screamed a dreadful murderous intent.

A small hallway could be seen behind Atlas, but he had no time to break for it. Besides, he knew none of his friends would try to run, they were no cowards when it came to life, death, or pride.

The aura Abbadon released was truly terrifying. It was like looking at the Grim Reaper, straight in the face, Atlas couldn't even move a muscle as he stood paralyzed on the ground. He's never felt such intense pressure before, not from a true monster.

Abbadon pointed his defiled dark finger straight at Atlas's face, releasing his first true spell, "Maim!"

Instantly following his spell, Atlas was grasped by the darkness erupting from the ground, immobilizing him while the true spell occurred. From the tip of Abbadon's finger, a small circular orb about 5 inches in diameter slowly hovered towards Atlas, increasing it's intensity every meter.

The orb was black, small, and had an essence much greater than Atlas's Augment spell. He could feel the massive amount of energy coming closer, but all he could do was watch. The orb paused about a meter from his face, prompting Abbadon to lock his index finger and thumb together.

Right before he snapped them, he made sure Atlas was looking at him to witness his last emotion of fear in this world, "Goodbye, Atlas."

He snapped his fingers, ringing the loud popping sound through the chamber as the orb exploded in every direction. The explosion carved and decimated the walls and ceiling like foam.

A cloud of dust and wreckage filled the chamber in an array of grey smoke, abruptly blinding Abbadon from seeing what is left of Atlas's body.

Atlas on the other hand, couldn't feel anything. All he could see was a blue circle, slowly circling his body as the darkness that trapped him vanished.

The dust was quickly settled in seconds after the explosion, revealing an unexpected surprise neither of them were expecting. The small hallway Atlas glanced at before was much larger now, which explained the unanticipated guest that now occupied the chamber next to Atlas.

Rina lowered her hand, disabling the small shield she placed on Atlas mere seconds before the explosion as she arrived from the distance. Her eyes were glowing miraculously in the dim light of the chamber, giving a warm sensation that it lacked before.

Atlas widened his eyes as overwhelming relief and excitement filled his face, "Rina!" He yelled as he took another moment to notice his savior, "You-Your eyes!" That was the only thing that came to his mind as he saw her. And it was the only sentence that popped into his head to create into words.

"Atlas. Later." Rina responded without an explanation and pure anger in her voice, "We need to kill him. Now."

Atlas didn't bother questioning her, he could sense her magic essence incredibly stronger than it was before, possibly even close to Abbadon's. He could feel the anger her aura was protruding into the air, eager to find out what she has gone through. However, this was not the time to ask questions or formal greetings.

In the distance, Calvin has already found Leo and started carrying him on his shoulder. The explosion from Abbadon's attack shook the ground beneath Calvin, signaling to him he was close to finding someone else, but he was unsure who.

Abbadon looked emotionless, knowing that Violet would betray him no matter the cost, but now it was certain as he laid his devilish eyes upon Rina. He could feel her magic essence colossal to when he first met her, knowing Violet shared her magic with her to create an absolute unit of water manipulation.

Rina didn't hesitate to make the first move, she swung her hand horizontally faster than the human eye can see, not even needing to cast a spell to release a devastating slash of water that flew at tremendous speed towards Abbadon.

He wasn't prepared for such power or speed, unable to react fast enough as the slash cut him in half swiftly and effectively. However, the look on his face didn't change as the top half of his body quickly slid off, only to be reattached seconds later by an ominous dark miasma from the split wound.

Rina gritted her teeth as she released a small breath of frustration, allowing her to repeat the same attack countless times. Atlas watched as her deadly blades of water either cut through Abbadon like paper, or he simply blocked them using a shield made of a thick dark fog.

After hundreds of slashes, Rina finally stopped, seeing how Abaddon was planning on counter attacking. Instead, he opened his mouth to speak in a much deeper voice than before, a voice that lacked any signs of life. "You cannot kill what is already dead."

This remark took Rina and Atlas by surprise, putting them into a fl.u.s.tered position with prowling thoughts. The intensity of Abbadon's aura broke the inner silence of the chamber. There were no more hollow echoes or insects crawling in between empty cracks and frail rubble. A pure force of pressure obstructed their movements without the intention to do so.

Rina and Atlas gawked at Abbadon in horror, attempting to stay as calm as possible without giving off signs of concerns. Regardless, Abbadon didn't care whether they were scared or calm, his only goal was to simply kill them and the rest of his vessels if they failed to do so. Due to his inner connection, he could feel each one being killed off, starting with Violet. The ginger haired one was next, and it continued as every minute passed.

Rina knew her shield couldn't withstand any attack he was about to launch, turning to Atlas in hopes of him acquiring a plan or other measures for their survival. As she peaked at Atlas by her side, she could see the fear in his eyes, even if his face didn't show it.

As much as Atlas and Rina wanted to charge at him with all they've got, they could feel that as soon as they took their first step, their death would be unavoidable. Abbadon was simply waiting for them to make the move, only to erase them immediately.

"Rina." Atlas spoke without turning his face from Abbadon's.

"I know." She responded quite calmly, "You think we can pull it off?"

"We won't know unless we try."

After Rina and Atlas witnessed the Guild battle from awhile ago, they couldn't help but praise the remarkable team coordination Law Breakers planned despite having a much greater disadvantage in magical essence prior to the match. Their movements, all the way down to the footsteps they would take were all planned in advance. That level of coordination came with practice, which is exactly what Rina and Atlas did a countless amount of times in the Arena after their own Guild battle.

Although they never expected to be in a situation such as this one, they knew how to adjust certain movements based on their current circ.u.mstances.

"Just like we practiced." Atlas smirked as he prepared to take a battle-ready stance. Rina followed suite, lifting her hands and ready for the command.

A few seconds went by of pure silence before Atlas gave the initiating motion of combat. "NOW!" He screamed as he plunged his fist into the ground towards Abbadon, "Augment!"

Simultaneously, Rina clasped her hands to create a massive vortex of water within the chamber, "Vortex!"

Together, Atlas managed to crack the ground hard enough to not only create a crater that reached towards Abbadon, but also filling it with dust from the debris and filling that gap with rushing waves of water as the vortex exploded.

This coordination of spells accomplished two things; It created a faulty surface for

Abbadon to shift his focus off them and to lose his balance in the process. Also, it created a wall of different material to block his vision from the surroundings.

Nonetheless, Abbadon cleared the air in a heartbeat as he flashed a light in the darkness to open the chamber to his vision. Springing back out of the crater was also an easy task, locking eyes with Rina once again, taking his turn to attack now.

But something stopped him. He couldn't see Atlas anywhere, giving Rina the chance to attack with yet another slash of her water blades. A pathetic attempt, Abbadon thought as he simply covered his face with another wall of darkness, quickly realizing that the attack wasn't meant to hurt him, but to distract him instead.

He instantly brought down his wall to see Atlas right below his face with his fist caulked back in full extension. The veins and muscles in his right arm were magnificently larger in that miniscule time frame Abbaodn saw him. Atlas's spell Augment would have no effect on him, but his position and stance seemed different than before.

His eyes screamed power, and yet he looked so weak on the outside. Abbadon had no time to react despite his overwhelming speed and reaction time. The only thing he could do was to take the hit and recover like usual. However, the words that escaped Atlas's tongue an inch before impact to the jaw put Abbadon into a state of parylyzed demise.

"FRACTURE!" Atlas screamed as his immense masculinity collided with the darkness surrounding Abbadon's face, but he didn't move even a single inch from his stance.

Abbadon was struck with so much force, he wasn't sent flying or even a twist of his skull. Instead, Atlas's fist just seemed as if it was placed gently on his face, regardless of what happened behind him or how fast the swing was.

Everything that existed behind Abbadon either completely broke or was erased from existence. The wall of Mentalism was no longer standing, and there was no longer rocky walls of a chamber behind it. Hundreds of feet of pure underground rock obliterated from existence, replaced by the moonlight shining from above.

It seemed as if they were only a few meters underground to begin with from the start. The sky above was dimming in a much soother darkness. It was natural, filled with small white dots that gave it a luminous sight. The incandescent moon was quite small from such a distance, but still shone brightly.

Abbadon's darkness broke into pieces, eradicating it from existence with a simple flash. Atlas felt all the bones in his hand completely fractured, his body was not used to exerting so much force in such a small time frame. The pain was absorbed quite rapidly, but still left him with an immovable arm hanging by his side as he lowered his fist from Abbadon's face.

The man was no longer the same Abbadon that they saw, but a boy no older than Atlas now stood in his place. Atlas looked at him with the strength he had left, using it to speak in an exhausted voice, "What. What is this."

The boy who was now cleansed from the darkness spoke with a kindly soft voice as a slight yellowish glow vibrated off him, "Atlas Bright. Rina Ambrose. You have passed the trials that I laid upon you, and It seems like your friends as well."

"Trials? What are you talking about?" Rina walked up to them.

"16 years ago, I was met with quite an interesting set of individuals. One's that I did not believe could fully exist in this world. They were the seven sins of purgatory, or you folk might know them as the seven deadly sins." He looked at Rina and Atlas to make sure they were following, concluding they hadn't a clue what he was talking about, so he continued. "The seven sins actually existed as humans, roaming this Earth as living beings. Their magic was something like I've never seen before, some even surpassing the zodiacs. That was something I didn't believe could truly exist."

He continued on to explain how that seven metaphysical sins truly existed, creating ideas to hypothesize by himself. He was a student at Princewood who studied traces of magic and origin of certain abilities not fully discovered. He came across stories and certain criteria mentioning what makes up our universe and how.

There were seven laws that he found, seven laws that obliged to create the balance in everyday living and how we live as a whole. Those laws were never to be binded to humans or given magic abilities to roam this earth as living beings, mainly because they were created with the universe billions of years ago. It is how all life evolved and produced in this world. However, once he discovered how to transfer one life form to another using an insanely complex set of spells, he realized that he would need vessels to confirm his theories.

Furthermore, the more and more he dug himself into this madness, the more it ate away his soul, forcing him to either continue or die in vain. Abbadon didn't kill the previous laws, he created them, crafting specific patterns for his set vessels to follow, only to realize that such powers may only be given to a select few. Abbadon used his own gift in magical abilities called transfer magic. This was a very unique type of magic that is only passed down from a family bloodline, granting the wielder of such magic the ability to metaphysically create a sequence of particles that can be traced back to the original origins of the first magic essence to ever be created. Abbadon's ancestors created human bodies for the seven sins, never truly experimenting with laws that bind our world together.

Abbadon's madness led him to discover particles that were adrift in our universe, and bind them to human life forms by a simple touch of fate, making sure they were all are destined to be together. Doing all this ate away at his own soul, requiring vessels to extend his own life until he was successful in fulfilling his experiments.

He had a companion during this time, her name was Rosetta, who truly believed in what he was doing and it was for the good of the world. Rosetta had Fate magic, assisting in the whole process when the time came. Abbadon and Rosetta figured out who the seven were destined to be, so they either used someone close to them, or random wanderers who happened to be in the way to succeed with their goal to make sure their plans aligned perfectly. Casualties were never part of their plan, but some things just happened to be in the way.

He created these chambers in order to conclude his data analysis, realizing that the true laws will need to be strong, and defeat the vessels set in place to obtain the powers they needed to sustain life in this universe. If they failed to complete their designated trials then Abbadon's theories would all be for nothing, concluding that the seven laws cannot rome this world as humans.

Abbadon let parts of his soul escape as he transferred all his magic into 7 individuals, and the rest went into the tall walls of different laws that contained the powers they needed to be labeled correctly.

"This might be a lot of information for such young individuals like yourselves to handle, but I promise you will acc.u.mulate more information as time goes on. There are others who are quite well aware of your situation. For example, Calvin Pride, Theodore Selvis, Draymond Bright, and a few others."

It took Atlas a second to hear that name, but once he confirmed what Abbaodon had just said, he jolted up with a burst of energy, "Draymond Bright! What do you know about him!"

"As much as I would like to stay in chat, it seems like the last wall has just recently crumbled, meaning my life force is no more, and All I have left now is a few minutes before my departure into purgatory. I am truly sorry I cannot say more."

Atlas and Rina were still attempting to process all the information they received, filling their heads with more questions left unanswered.

Abbadon turned away from them as he stared into the open sky above, "I believe it is my time to go, but do not fret, This may not be goodbye for good. Although I am going to purgatory, there is a possibility of my return, even if it isn't in the same form. Parts of my soul are no longer keeping me alive as I stand here in a lifeless spiritual form." He sighed in relief, "You are now the Seven Laws of the Universe, and I would not like to find out what would happen if per say, one of you were to be killed. However, for now it is indeed a goodbye, and I wish you the best of luck."

And just like that, he slowly vanished into the open air. Snow was no longer falling, instead, just a small breeze that carried it from one destination to the next. The air was cold, but not cold enough to synthesize hypothermia.

Atlas's pain finally crept in, forcing him to realize his arm was damaged quite drastically, still trying his best to not show signs of pain. Rina could see him struggling regardless of his attempts to hide it, taking off one of her smaller shirts and tearing it into a splint to wrap around his arm.

"Thank you." Atlas said as Rina tried to hold him steady. The air was cold, and their breaths left a warm sprout of air entering each other's personal space. As Rina wrapped the splint around his shoulder, they both noticed how close they were. Their lips were only a foot apart as they glared into each other's eyes. The silence of the night was the only sounds they could hear, along with their heartbeats pounding to keep them warm.

Atlas stared into Rina's glistering eyes, noticing her staring back with similar intentions. Rina's lips looked soft and luscious, despite the cold giving them small spots of dryness. Both could smell each other's wounds and hardsh.i.p.s from the night, ignoring it like it was meant to be there. Neither dared to blink, closing their eyes simultaneously, and slowly leaning in until they were just an inch apart...

"RINA! ATLAS!" Cartuja yelled as he interrupted them a second too soon before running to them in a flash, breaking their precious silence.

Rina and Atlas both jolted up, turning to the attention of the scream to see Cartuja already on top of them with both his arms wrapped around each of their shoulders.

"Uhm.. Ouch." Atlas said as politely and laughably as possible while signaling to Cartuja the condition of his right arm.

"Oh shit, my bad bro. Also didn't mean to interrupt you guys.."

Atlas and Rina both laughed awkwardly until Crtuja insisted that as a favor they were both given one free slap to use on him as they please. This broke the awkwardness with Rina using it immediately with the smite of her left hand aggressively.

She slapped him so brutally that she even managed to knock him on the floor with a shining red mark on the right side of his face.

"Yo, you got some heat I'll give you that." Cartuja tried to play it off like it didn't hurt, even though it was quite painful.

They all laughed until Calvin and the rest made their entrance from the small hallway towards the back that Rina originally appeared from. All of them came running towards the three standing side by side as Cratuja picked himself off the floor to see Laena, Faibel and Paris come running up to either hug Atlas or Rina. Laena even managed to create a few tears of joy from their reunion and safety.

As Calvin approached them, his face didn't seem quite as happy compared to the rest of the group. Atlas gulped in anticipation, ready for whatever punishment he would be faced with.

"I'm glad your safe." Calvin said calmly, "But boy are you guys in some trouble… To think you would actually leave school grounds. To a place you weren't certain existed. And actually managed to not only survive, but come out victorious as well…" He sighed in disbelief, "Well this will surely make quite an interesting story at my next dinner table."

They all laughed together, finally waking up Leo to full consciousness. He quickly hopped down from Calvin's shoulder, seeing everyone staring at him like he just rose from the dead. He could see all the bruises, cuts, and dry blood covering nearly half of his friends. Puzzled from the view, he asked, "Wow, what did I miss?"
