Making a Swing

The first time he met me, my wolf shook his head and trembled.

I gave him a room. A new linen was put on the bed, and a sheet was put on it. I also bought a new wallpaper and replaced it. Knowing that he wouldn’t say anything even in that room, the child shut the door tightly and didn’t come out.

‘I still look scary.’

Even if you build a wall like that and build a wall again.

I did not try to force the child to break the wall.

People can’t be changed by people. Only the Lord and Himself can change.

But there are things the Lord does not do.

If you don’t change yourself, the Lord won’t change you either.

I can take a donkey to the water, but it’s not like it’s up to me to water it. I don’t know what happened, but it must not have been easy. It is difficult even for an adult to go through, especially for a child. It is not strange that it remains as a big stain in life.

So baby I will give you sunshine

Just like the Lord did to me.

Gather things that can be used as manure, bury them near you, draw water from the spring, and moisten your neck.

As the Lord did to me who should have become a withered sprout.

But it is not something I can guarantee that you will grow as big and strong as this tree.

For me, just do your best.

It was winter, the biggest and strongest tree in the garden, and I just muttered it like that as I touched a tree that had no leaves. I prayed to the Lord and made a promise to myself.

‘This tree. The branches are quite thick and strong.’

Grasp a moderately tall and strong branch with your hands and pull it out. The branch did not break, it just bent, but returned to its original state when released. It was difficult to even bend it as big as my pulling force. At this level of strength, I thought that I would stand up even if I sat down.

“I don’t have anything to play with in the house, so it must be boring.”

I bought a few dolls from the market, but they don’t seem to be particularly interested.

I don’t know if I’m interested but I don’t know if I’m not interested, or if I’m really not interested, but either way, the doll was in like-new condition after a few days. I just let it go though.

If you leave it alone, it’s something you might be interested in someday.

“Shall we make a swing…”

There’s plywood, and there’s rope. The previous owner had left it at home.

Still, I’m proud that my dexterity isn’t bad. The first time I met the Lord was when I, Yurinelle, and I were very young, right after we both lost our parents.

Pumpkin Vine Village. Our hometown, where Yurinelle was always reluctant to even talk about because it was rustic.

Even though it is a crop, it was a village that thrived even though no one valued it, just like pumpkins that thrive and overcome weeds. Although not all of the people were wealthy, they were relaxed and full of life.

At times they quarreled, but they soon reconciled, cherished their neighbors, and wise old men unleashed old knowledge.

But that little peace was destroyed by an irresistible existence.

One of the monster corps created by the ancient demon king, Grimudo.

The cannibal monster, the Manticore, has trampled on his hometown. Adults couldn’t even compete.

It looked like a lion, but several times its size, and its tail was as pointed as that of a scorpion. Its mouth was full of serrated teeth. It was large enough to cover a house with its two wings wide open.

It didn’t kill people to survive.

For fun, cruelly, for no reason, just as man does against ants,

It was only when he got tired of playing with people with his front paws that resembled a lion, he bit and killed them and ate them.

People who were neighbors died like that. Me and Urinell’s parents stopped the Manticore after we ran away. I never saw their end in person, but they probably died.

‘At that time, I must have run away holding hands with Urinelle… and…’

It’s a very childhood memory. And it’s a memory I don’t want to recall.

I don’t remember exactly what happened. But only one thing can be certain.

That I saw the Lord then, and that I saw the Lord’s miracles.

‘I don’t know what I saw, but it must have been the Lord.’

I can’t describe it with any words I know, and I’ve never seen him before with my own eyes.

My little head emptied as I faced him. Only one word came to mind.

god. There was no need to think any further. He could only describe it with one word.

When he woke up, the Manticore was dead and dead, full of stomach.

There was not a single scratch on his body. The cause of death was natural.

And from then on, the divinity of the Lord came upon me. Uncle Helmut, a hunter with a broken arm, fainted and bleeding. Uncle Yoham, a carpenter who tried to stop the Manticore somehow with a tool, but was hit by a forefoot and bounced off and broke his back. It was also the reason why those who were still alive could barely be saved from death. The village suffered major wounds, but did not die.

– Apostle. Don’t blame the Lord for not coming to you a little sooner.

Someone I call a tree angel added later.

It’s been a long time, but I still remember all the words of the angels.

– The Lord is not in a position to exercise his power here. You may think that His power is infinite, but He also has His own precepts and laws. If He had come to you a little earlier, remember that you would have been oxidized before you even subjugated the beast.

Anyway, I became a priest that day, and in fact, I became the only priest in the village.

Because there was no way for the Trinity Church or the denomination of the Celestial God Aldehir-sama to come to such a small place as ours. Our village is in a very remote place, so even the priest of the evil god Oberta didn’t seem to mind.

Later, until the paladins and priests of the Trinity Church came and took Urinelle.

It was until she proved her qualifications as a hero by drawing the holy sword. Well, they left the village right after that, so it didn’t change that I was the only priest in the village.

And it would have been.

“While I was in the Trinity Church, I heard a story. The man-eating monster, Manticore, is one of the monsters led by the ancient demon king Grimudo.”

Urinelle Lakponcia.

My old childhood friend who came back as a hero and then a nobleman.

“One day, I will subjugate him and get revenge. Do you want to follow me too?”

She asked me if I would join her in her parents’ revenge,

I gladly left the village. Leaving behind the beacon of the sanctuary and the reviving spring.

Well, in the end, I had to come back knowing that I couldn’t do anything with my own strength, but if it’s Yurinelle, I’m sure I’ll be able to finish my revenge. If she gets the help of a saint, sure.

‘Because I learned many things from Uncle Yoham.’

When Urinelle leaves the village and goes on many adventures,

I also wasn’t playing.

He learned about hunting techniques from Uncle Helmut the hunter, and learned about the types of herbs from Noona, the Gatherer. I also heard old stories that were forgotten by the elders of the village.

Compared to Urinelle, it is small and small. One of those little pieces of knowledge is the woodworking skills and dexterity I learned from the carpenter, Uncle Yoham.

“Really, I miss you. mister.”

The plywood is cut appropriately to make a saddle for the swing, and is padded with leather to make it softer.

It’s fun to ride while standing or sitting down. Take out the rope, tie the swing to the branch, and tie a tight knot. I even climbed on it to see if the branch would break or the string would come loose.

‘But now, the village won’t need me.’

What I learned while going on an adventure with Urinell is that the world is wide and there are many places in need of divinity.

I’ve seen people moaning with splints because they couldn’t get treatment even though they had broken bones. I also saw a person who had a small wound start to rot, and eventually had to cut off his finger.

The place where I should be is not the hometown where the beacon is shining and the spring water is still gushing out.

Wherever there are people in need of divinity, that’s where I should go.

‘Are you interested?’

Peek out.

I opened the door slightly and saw the royal blue eyes staring at me, pretending not to see me, and slowly got on the swing. When that child makes eye contact with me, he is startled and terrified.

In the past, he fell and could not move, and now he just runs away to the room. Either way, I didn’t have to tell that kid that I knew you were looking at me.

‘I made it this hard, so it would be nice if I could ride it.’

Because it’s okay not to see me riding, it’s okay to show interest when I’m not there

Still, I thought it would be nice if you could enjoy the swing like a child. After enjoying the wind on the swing for a while, I got off the swing. I didn’t plan on riding too long.

‘The time has come.’

There is something that makes any cowardly courageous.

is hunger Once hungry, people can’t see anything.

The only time that child has the courage to seek me,

it’s time to eat When the child is looking at me, it means it is time to feed.
