Shigguang was tempted to drop the call.

“Why won’t you go?”

“Your parents haven’t eaten anything. They came to this city with only clothes on their backs. What’s wrong with you? Do you have a conscience? They raised you all these years and even paid for your college—”

“I don’t care what they said to you.” Shigguang gritted her teeth. Realizing that her voice was quite loud, she pushed open the door and walked out.

In a low voice, she hissed “Those two didn’t raise me nor did they support me in college. They’re liars.”

“Then come and take them away.”

Shigguang was silent for a long time: “Is that necessary?”

“If you don’t come, they can press legal action.”

“Okay, I’ll be over soon.” Shigguang hanged the phone in resignation. She looked back and saw Wang An and Wang Mei coming out of Starbucks together.

“I have to go.” Shigguang told Wang An and asked, “What’s your phone number?”

Wang An read out a series of numbers to her.

Shigguang tried calling and hanged up when it rang. “Here’s mine. Call me when you’re free.”

“Wang Mei, how are you going back later?”

“Aren’t you coming with me?”

” Shigguang said, “I have to go to Chongshan Road.”

“Subway then.”

Shigguang glanced at her watch, and said indifferently. “That’s fine, see you later.”

Shiguang disappeared from sight in the blink of an eye. Wang An sighed and made a motion to leave.

“What’s your relationship with Shigguang?” Wang Mei blurted.

“Friend.” Wang An replied curtly. He was in no mood to explain.

“Anything else?”

“No.”

“I’m leaving.” Wang An’s voice turned cold the moment Shigguang left.

Wang Mei opened her mouth to call him back but decided against it. Wang An had already strode away. He entered a sports car at the entrance of the film set.

Wang Mei’s eyes widened! Life is unfair. This handsome guy is rich!

The car drove away with a loud roar.

Shiguang has a handsome rich friend. Oh. My. God.
