“Any clues from the investigation?” Pei Siyan asked in a cold tone, following by a click sound of lighting a cigarette. He stood by the window, gazing into the dark night with coldness and indifference on his face.

“I sent a guy to investigate the auction house, expecting to find out something about Jiang Xiao. But no one has a clue about how he showed up in that place. It seems that he has been resold deliberately for multiple times, so that there will be little evidence or clues left, making it harder for us to find out his identity.” Bai Hao replied with great respect.

“Huh… And they think this can stop me from finding out what I wanna know? Ridiculous.” Pei Siyan scorned.

“Then… What now? We can’t really tell whether he’s really amnesiac or not. He could be faking it and this all can be a trap they set up for us.”

Unlike usual, Bai Hao quit his casual sassy look and replied with seriousness.

“It doesn’t matter if it’s a trap. I wanna see what they are capable of.”

“Well, at the end of the day, I still got to thank those old bastards for sending me such precious breed. In that way, having my earlship back will only be a matter of time.” Pei Siyan breathed out a wisp of smoke and dragged a cold smile onto his face.

Then he commanded Bai Hao, “Keep an eye on them, and keep me updated.”

“Will do.”

An hour later, when Pei Siyan returned to his room, he found out that he had been locked out of it. He frowned, along with a sense of danger running all over his body.

Bai Hao standing aside was making his best effort to control himself not to burst into laughter.

‘Hahaha, Oh my god! How can this Jiang Xiao guy be so hilarious! How dare he just lock our almighty boss out of his own room?!’ Bai Hao thought to himself.

Though trying his utmost to suppress his laughter, Bai Hao still somehow caught Pei Siyan’s attention. He stared at Bai Hao as if there were blades and cold air coming out of his eyes.

“Ahem, no, absolutely not funny! I won’t bother you any longer. Sweet dreams and good night.”

After saying so, Bai Hao ran away immediately without any hesitation.

The moment Bai Hao left, the wrath on Pei Siyan’s face started to show. He stared at the door of his room, with his mind mumbling in anger, ‘How dare this little shit locked me out of my own room and made a fool of me?!”

Having kicked open the door, he strode straight toward his bed in a rage.

Pei Siyan was expecting that Jiang Sheng would be scared and look at him in panic.

However, he was mistaken. At this moment, Jiang Sheng was sleeping, soundly and peacefully. He was like a starfish with his arms and legs wide open, drooling also. Needless to say, he was having a sweet dream for sure.
