The man leaned down. His scarlet eyes reflected the young man’s astonished face and his lips contained an affectionate smile. It was as if he was acting coquettish to the other party.
But the look in his eyes was serious. He seemed to have completely made up his mind and, as long as he didn’t get what he wanted, he wouldn’t back down.
The next second, Ye Jia felt the bindings on his body loosen.
“…….” He had some difficulty controlling his expression.
Finally, Ye Jia took in a deep breath and squeezed his eyes shut.
Calm down. Calm down. At least it would send Ji Xuan out.
Those who adapt to the situation at hand are wisest.
Ye Jia clenched his teeth and then leaned forward and pecked the man’s lips.
His movements were fast and brief.
But before Ye Jia could have the chance to move back, the other person’s hand firmly pressed the back of his neck and brought him closer again.
Faint struggling and muffled gasps could be heard.
Below the throne, the monsters who were kneeling with their heads pressed against the ground sincerely wished that they didn’t have any of their senses intact. They continued to desperately repeat inside over and over again: I don’t know anything, I don’t know anything, I don’t know anything…..I don’t hear anything, I don’t hear anything…….
Finally, Ji Xuan loosened his grip.
Ye Jia immediately moved back to distance himself from him. He stared at the other party vigilantly with a pair of watery, amber coloured eyes.
Ji Xuan didn’t seem to be angry.
He narrowed his scarlet eyes, the pupils slightly dilated from the satisfaction, and his dark gaze travelled across the young man’s face.
The young man’s skin was unhealthily pale, making the red flush on his face appear even more prominent. The slightly red corners of his eyes, the flushed cheeks and flushed ears, and the swollen and red lips that were tightly pursed together --- He looked like a marble statue with no sadness, joy or desire that was suddenly thrown into a chaotic world.
All that rationality from earlier had been blown away in an instant.
Ji Xuan raised the corners of his lips and rubbed his thumb lightly across the young man’s slightly swollen lips. He whispered softly, “I’ll be back soon….”
After watching the other party disappear beyond the doors, Ye Jia sighed.
At some unknown point in time, a hot layer of sweat had formed across his back. Whenever cold yin wind blew by, it made him shiver.
A faint light glowed in Ye Jia’s hand.
He cut off the remaining restraints binding him and then proceeded to stand----
Ye Jia who found himself still sitting in the throne: “…..”
Legs are soft……..
He took in a deep breath and let out a low curse, “Fuck.”
At this moment, a sleepy yawn sounded from within Ye Jia’s pocket, “Ah, I slept well.”
Ye Jia was slightly startled. He reached into his pocket and took out the light green coloured stone.
The Omniscient Eye, “Good morning…..”
Ye Jia, “Good my ass……”
The Omniscient Eye clicked its tongue, “Why are you so irritated? Young man, your skin will break out.”
The time where it would be awake was too short. Ye Jia didn’t bother bickering with it and went straight to the main topic, “What is going on with Ji Xuan now?”
The Omniscient Eye, “What what’s going on?”
Ye Jia’s grip around the armrest tightened and he said each word with emphasis, “Don’t force me to use force.”
“Alright, alright…” The Omniscient Eye hurriedly placated him, “Since you want to know, I’ll just tell you.”
“This fierce ghost’s ghost domain does not only let someone see the thing they fear the most.” It leisurely spoke up, “If it can only do that, it wouldn’t be able to go against those with strong mental resistance towards those things….”
Ye Jia: “Get to the point…….”
The Omniscient Eye sighed and continued, “It can also amplify one’s instinctive fears.”

Ye Jia was slightly surprised.
“As long as one’s instinctive fears are amplified, no matter how firm their minds are, they would be unable to control the instinctive fears they have even if they know that the thing before them is just an illusion.”
Indeed, if it only used fear to mess with the human heart, it wouldn’t have been able to cause those experienced players to have such a strong reaction.
Ye Jia’s eyes narrowed slightly. He slowly said, “But Ji Xuan doesn’t feel any fear.”
If it was said that he was overwhelmed by his instinctive desire, it would indeed be consistent with Ji Xuan’s current abnormal state.
But when facing so many of his fakes, Ji Xuan’s emotions were more of anger and contempt compared to fear.
Was it because he was a ghost?
But Ye Jia felt that the situation probably wasn’t that simple.
“Of course….” The Omniscient Eye responded, “It’s because he didn’t let that fierce ghost read his heart and see his fears.”
Ye Jia was surprised, “What?”
The Omniscient Eye continued, “Yes, it is exactly as you have guessed. He has sealed off all his fears, allowing him to fight back against the fierce ghost from the inside without being affected by their ability.”
“Once the other party is swallowed up from inside, the seal would be released, and everything will be back to normal.” The Omniscient Eye spoke with some admiration, “In any case, he is one ruthless man.”
Ye Jia fell into deep thought.
The Omniscient Eye continued to chatter, “Oh yes, the reason why he treats you this way is because he feels no fear.”
When a powerful fierce ghost no longer has anything to fear, they would become reckless. There were basically no more shackles binding them.
Ye Jia raised his head in surprise when he heard this. He furrowed his brows and asked coldly, “What do you mean?”
A sharp look flashed across the depths of his eyes. An oppressive air that he had accumulated during his years fighting tooth and nail in that game exploded from within him.
Unfortunately, his soft hair and flushed face made him appear much less fearsome.
The Omniscient Eye giggled. It didn’t answer Ye Jia’s question.
It just stretched and yawned, “Okay, last question. After this one, I’ll be going back to sleep.”
Ye Jia suppressed his anger and decided not to waste time dwelling on this issue.
He said, “How to undo the seal?”
The Omniscient Eye was taken aback, “Huh? Why are you undoing the seal? The one from your family has the upper hand right now so can’t you just wait until he swallows up the fierce ghost from the inside?”
Ye Jia: “….”
Staying with Ji Xuan in that state in an enclosed space --- And even in an enclosed space that the other party can have complete control over for three hundred years?
Especially now that he knows what the other party had in mind…..
Sorry, but he is still very young. He still didn’t want to die in bed.
Ye Jia didn’t answer the stone directly. He just frowned and asked, “So do you know how?”
“What?!” The Omniscient Eye felt insulted, “I am the Omniscient Eye! How could there be something that I don’t know?!”
Ye Jia, “Yes, yes, yes, you are all-knowing and omniscient. There is nothing you can’t do.”
The Omniscient Eye let out a cold snort. It slowly continued, “The seal is hidden in this world. As long as you find it and drag it out, it would be sorted.”
----- He couldn’t really make heads or tails of that line.
Ye Jia frowned, “What do you mean? Where is the seal? What do you mean by drag it out?”
“Oh right,” The Omniscient Eye seemed to have suddenly remembered something, “I will give you a bonus tip.”
Ye Jia listened intently.
“Apply ice for three minutes. It should help with the swelling.”
---- After saying this line, the pale green stone sitting in Ye Jia’s hand returned to a lifeless stone once again.
Ye Jia: “………”
The burning and swollen sensation at his lips felt particularly clear at this very moment. That heat quickly spread over to his cheeks and even the lobes of his ears felt hot
“Fuck!”
Rubbish stone!
Ye Jia’s expression was cold. His slowly closed his fingers around the stone and tightened his grip such that the knuckles turned white.

He threw the Omniscient Eye back into his pocket and stood up.
The hall was deadly silent. Red light from the sky in the distance penetrated into the hall through the gaps between the bones making up the walls, casting a red glow in the room.
Ye Jia looked around. His eyes darkened.
He slowly raised his hand and touched his lips.
“Hiss…….” It stung a little.
Ye Jia’s eyes grew colder and colder.
He roughly wiped his lips with the back of his hand and proceeded to step towards the door of the castle.
Ye Jia tentatively reached out and pushed open the door before him. Unexpectedly, the door wasn’t seals shut and he was able to open it without much effort, revealing the blood-coloured sky and city made of bones.
A large world appeared before him.
Tremors caused by the fight between the two ghosts spread across the world and it seemed to be causing some changes to the world along with it. Thick yin energy spread throughout, making it impossible for one to perceive the changes that were occurring.
The battle between the two powerful fierce ghosts was particularly fearsome.
If it was said that Ye Jia still felt that he could communicate with Ji Xuan earlier when he was talking to the Omniscient Eye, this thought of his was completely gone when he saw this situation outside.
A fearsome ghost who had completely lost his self-control and succumbed to his instincts.
A ghost domain that was almost completely within his control.
He was at an absolute disadvantage in this place. He should quickly get out of this situation.
But, in a huge place like this, Ye Jia couldn’t tell where this ‘fear’ was hidden.
Although he could try searching around, it would take too long. The Omniscient Eye also couldn’t help him.
But Ye Jia didn’t have time to waste.
After all, Ji Xuan had said it earlier---- He would be back soon.
He looked up at the sky that was dyed a haunting colour with slightly narrowed eyes. Those amber coloured eyes of his reflected that scarlet colour.
Ji Xuan is a fierce ghost.
All fierce ghosts are greedy and selfish creatures. They feel no empathy and lack trust so if he wanted to hide his weakness, he would have definitely kept it at a place close to him.
Ye Jia turned back and looked at the castle of bones behind him.
----Following some rational thinking, he felt that the possibility of it being hidden here was very high.
In this small space, the Omniscient Eye could still serve as a scanning device.
Ye Jia quickly conducted a comprehensive and detailed search throughout the entire castle.
Although it was a large castle, it was particularly cold and lifeless. Rather than a ‘building’, it would be better referred to as a scarlet wasteland. Cold bones stretched out towards the sky and below it was a large and empty hall. There were no bedrooms, no decorations, nothing. It looked more like a giant tomb, silently burying the people within.
But despite having searched every inch of this place in detail, Ye Jia was still unable to find what he was looking for.
He stood in the empty hall, frowning slightly.
Did he guess wrong?
Ji Xuan didn’t hide it in a place close to him?
It that really was the case, then he really had no chance of finding it.
His heart pounded heavily in his chest, pumping hot blood throughout his body. That racing pulse pounded in his ears, making his surroundings particularly noisy.
Ye Jia let out a breath and slowly closed his eyes.
He had found himself in a difficult situation in the game numerous times. Humans were like a tight bowstring. The greater the pressure they’re under, the greater the potential they had. As such, the more hopeless the situation appeared, the closer to the truth they are.
If thinking from the perspective of a fierce ghost wasn’t right, he should try thinking from a different direction.
--- If he was Ji Xuan, where would he hide his only weakness?
Ye Jia was slightly startled. Both his eyes widened.
His gaze fell onto the bones below him. The place where that dead fake from earlier was lying ----- There were no more traces left of it anymore. The ground was so smooth and clean, it was as if someone was never crushed to death in that very spot just moments ago. All that could be seen was the silently surging sea of blood below.

The entire city of bones was an island floating over a sea of blood.
The castle was located at the centre of this island of bones, but there was a larges sea of blood underneath the castle?
---- The dead bodies of those fakes all came up from below there.
If he was a paranoid ghost, where would he hide something?
The answer was quite obvious.
He would put it together with his obsession.
A large scythe appeared in Ye Jia’s hand and a cold light flashed. The white bones under his feet split open. Small pieces of the bones fell into the pool of blood below without making any sounds.
He stared at the bottomless abyss below him and then took in a deep breath and leapt in.
Splash…..
Salty liquid rushed towards him. It seemed to carry huge destructive power, charging relentlessly at this intruder.
Ye Jia’s mouth was filled with the taste of rust. He opened his eyes but still couldn’t see very well.
He used all his strength to resist the strong currents around him and continued to dive deeper down.
The young man’s slender limbs were as flexible as a fish. He was able to avoid the strong currents and swim downwards.
Dark shadows flickered faintly in the distance.
Ye Jia struggled to swim in that direction.
When he got close enough, he finally saw that what he saw earlier were numerous bodies of his fakes neatly arranged in a row inside the pool of blood. Their pale faces were either silent or filled with fear, with expressions fixed at the moment of their deaths. Some were relatively complete corpses while others looked like they had been torn apart by a monster of some sort, turning into something that even Ye Jia himself had difficulty recognising. All these bodies however seemed to be bound in place by some invisible force.
A long, neatly arranged row with almost no end in sight.
Ye Jia: “…….”
HAHA. Ji Xian’s mental state is really reassuring.
He lowered his head and unexpectedly saw that he still hadn’t reached the depths of this sea of blood.
It was as if…..there was something else hidden much deeper down.
Ye Jia wanted to continue diving down, but a few seconds later, he found that his ankle seemed to have been caught by something icy cold.
He looked back in surprise.
He saw that the those previously lifeless corpses had at some point in time turned to look this way. Their pale faces were either intact or damaged, but their expressions were all equally as terrifying.
The next second, those lifeless corpses charged towards Ye Jia.
In the sticky blood, those countless deathly pale limbs brandished about wildly. They all seemed to be aiming to swallow up the human before them.
Amidst the scarlet currents, a flash of cold light silently cut through without any hindrance, creating a gap between those corpses. That overwhelming force charging through the waters produced an even stronger current that pushed those substitutes away, giving Ye Jia some breathing space.
Ye Jia was a little dizzy.
He blinked his eyes a few times with great effort to dispel the darkness that was gradually spreading over his eyes.
There wasn’t enough oxygen.
Ye Jia raised his eyes and glanced above him ---- The surface was far away from him, but he could still vaguely see the waves on the surface.
If he went up, he should have enough time.
The corpses that were pushed away once again tried to charge towards Ye Jia.
Ye Jia gritted his teeth and conversely turned around and dived deeper.
The sound of bodies colliding and water currents surging could be heard behind him.
The oxygen in his lungs were almost about to be completely exhausted. His limbs grew weaker and his vision darkened further.
There was a cold sensation at his ankle as one of the corpses reached out to grab him.
Ye Jia once again struggled to break free.
The next moment, he found himself reaching the depths of the pool of blood. He slammed heavily against the murky ground and even tumbled a few times before stopping
Ye Jia coughed for a long time. After breathing in the fishy air around him, his spotty vision finally cleared up.

It took Ye Jia about half a minute to recover. Ye Jia raised his head and looked above him.
Those blood coloured waters, and corpses had disappeared at some unknown point in time. Replacing it was a sky of the same scarlet colour.
His nose was filled with the suffocating smell of blood. For a moment, Ye Jia couldn’t tell whether this smell was left from the bloody waters earlier or if it was from the air.
He wiped dry his face and slowly got up.
Ye Jia looked around at the scene around him and was taken aback.
He remembered this place.
The scene before him was one that was deeply burned into his memory. It was one that he would never forget no matter how much time passed.
The pitch-black ground was soft and damp. If you squeezed it hard enough, you could even squeeze out some blood.
There were countless bones buried deep under the ground and even the air was filled with the cold scent of death.
This was an old battlefield.
It was an instance of the greatest difficulty that no one has ever challenged.
---- It was also the place where he personally killed Ji Xuan.
Ye Jia stood in the middle of the wasteland with his eyes slightly narrowed. The wind carrying a strong scent of blood rustled past his hair.
He stepped forward and walked in the direction in his memories.
In the barren wasteland, the young man walked alone.
In the distance, there was a large black cliff with steep peaks. Below that was a giant cave. That was the place where he bid farewell to his former good friend.
The memories he thought had been buried broke free and flashed through his mind frame after frame.
Ye Jia didn’t want to remember but those memories were so vivid, it was as if it only happened yesterday.
Extremely clear and vivid, with a strong air of hatred.
What was more painful than being betrayed by the person closest to you was finding out that the other party had been lying to you from the very beginning and had always planned to eat you up.
Ye Jia’s eyes were dark and indifferent. No expression could be seen on his pale face. All the redness from earlier had faded away, leaving a cold marble statue. The only red that was left was the redness on his lips, making it look as if he had drunk blood.
Instinctively, a sharp scythe appeared in his hand.
His muscles slowly grew tenser, much like a beast getting ready to fight.
The cave was dark and the ground was rugged, but Ye Jia walked through this like he had done this many times before.
Suddenly, he saw a small figure appear before him.
That figure was too familiar. Even despite standing far away, Ye Jia recognised him ---- It was Ji Xuan.
The Omniscient Eye’s words appeared in his mind: “Drag it out”.
Was this what it meant?
Thinking this, Ye Jia took out the green stone and held it up to his eyes.
In the chaotic darkness, only the back view of the young boy was lit, much like the only spot of light in the dark night.
Looks like it would all be over as long as he drags him out.
Ye Jia stored the Omniscient Eye back into his pocket and walked over to reach for the young boy’s arm.
But unexpectedly, Ye Jia returned emptyhanded.
Ye Jia: “?”
He glanced at his hand with suspicion and then reached out to grab the boy’s shoulder.
But as if he was touching air, his fingers passed straight through the other party.
The young boy continued walking on without stopping.
Ye Jia had to increase his pace to catch up, “Hey!”
He waved his hand before the young boy’s eyes to attract their attention.
But it was useless. The young boy’s head passed straight through his palm, and he continued to walk forward.
After many attempts, Ye Jia found that he couldn’t communicate with the other party at all, let alone touch the other party. It was as if he was watching a memory of the past.
But….
Ye Jia took out the Omniscient Eye and scanned around him.
Indeed, only that young boy’s body was glowing.
How strange.
If he couldn’t touch the other party, how could he drag him out?
While Ye Jia was feeling confused, the road ahead came to an end.

Suddenly, Ye Jia seemed to have thought of something. He was taken aback.
---- He suddenly realised that this wasn’t a scene from his memories.
He and Ji Xuan had entered the cave together. There was no situation where the other party entered it alone and at this moment, he didn’t see another him around.
At this moment, the young boy stopped in his steps and looked into the distance. His young voice was cold and calm, “Mother…….”
Ye Jia’s heart trembled. He turned to look in that same direction.
Above a familiar pool of blood was a large lump of flesh suspended in the air. It was so large, it almost covered the entire cave. Thick blue veins squirmed about on its greasy surface looking terribly disgusting.
This is Mother?
Ye Jia’s pupils constricted slightly.
That lump of flesh squirmed, making strange sticky sounds. That terrible sound reverberated throughout the cave. Ye Jia had to use all his self-control to endure this sound.
Ji Xuan however seemed to understand it.
He nodded, “Yes, Mother.”
Ye Jia could guess that it was a case of the other party accepting the task issued to him by Mother.
His eyes darkened slightly, and coldness resurfaced.
Ye Jia didn’t want to continue watching this. He reached out and tried it again.
But before he could touch the other party, the young boy before him raised his head slightly and, as if he thought of something very pleasant, he curled up the corners of his lips to reveal an almost innocent and pure smile.
That beautiful but gloomy face seemed to brighten up and those scarlet eyes shone bright with expectation, “Then we will be able to be together forever, right?”
