Jealousy Rears (3)
“Get, get lost!”
Zheng Wan looked at him.
“So what?”
“Wan’niang, Wan’niang!” The prince shook off the people around him and reached out to hug her, but Zheng Wan dodged and he only caught a sleeve. “Do you like him now? You don’t like me anymore, is that it?”
Zheng Wan looked at the sleeve.
“Let go, Crown Prince.”
“I won’t!” The prince caught her off guard and hugged her. “I won’t let go! I won’t let go! You and I, no, I3, will elope together. Worst comes to worst, I just won’t be the crown prince anymore, and I won’t marry Second Lady Liu——”
“Wooosh——”
A burst of whirling wind tore the two apart.
Zheng Wan felt her waist tightly bound by a scorching hot arm, backing her away, while the crown prince who had been hugging her was thrown upside down.
“Mister Cui?”
She turned her head in surprise.
Cui Wang gave her a cold glance, then thrust his palm out fiercely; the crown prince who was still struggling to stand was knocked down by a blast of air, and he fell to the ground, unconscious.
“You killed him?”
Zheng Wan made herself shriek.
Cui Wang remained silent, but the arm that gripped her tightened. Zheng Wan felt a gust of wind rise; she seemed to have mounted the clouds and was riding the mist, and in a blink of an eye, she was transported to a splendid forest of crabapple blossoms.
Tree after tree of crabapple blossoms were in bloom— red, white and pink. It was still not the season for them, yet they still bloomed brilliantly.
It was obviously such a beautiful scene, but Zheng Wan could sense that a storm was coming.
A box was whipped out of Cui Wang’s sleeve, it opened before hitting the ground, and she watched as a gust of wind tore the many sheets of peach blossom paper she had written on into pieces.
“Your peach blossom paper.”
Cui Wang looked at the flurry of confetti.
“Mister Cui!”
“Your crabapple blossoms.”
Several crabapple trees were uprooted by a huge force.
Zheng Wan looked at Cui Wang, astounded. He cast his eyes down at her; all the stars, deserts, mountains, rivers and ice in his eyes have disappeared, leaving only the turbulent oceans with their great billowing waves, as if they wanted to destroy everything in the world.
She finally felt fear, but in addition to this fear, there was also a little bit of excitement. Love gu was not water without a source, nor a flower without root4, but it could catalyse and magnify every desire— and the Cui Wang at this time was unstable.
She just needed to add more fuel to the fire.
“Mister Cui, what are you doing?!” said Zheng Wan in horror. “You actually, actually killed the crown prince?!”
“You’re concerned about him?”
“What does it matter to Mister Cui? Doesn’t Mister Cui not care one bit for me?” Zheng Wan seemed to be enraged, her eyes concealed both grief and indignation. “We are nothing but ants in Mister Cui’s eyes, you can keep us when you want to, and kill us when you want to; the crown prince is like that, and so am I.”
“You like him?”
“Since Mister Cui doesn’t like me, why should you be concerned about who I care for? If you don’t like me, back in the Transient Realm, why did you take such good care of me, then save me? And why did you patiently tend to my wounds upon our return? And why did, why did you kiss me like that?
“Why didn’t you let me give up on you earlier, so that——”
“So that you can go back to the crown prince again?” Cui Wang’s eyes were dark, a storm brewing in his eyes. “Zheng Wan, do you have no shame?”
“Shame?” Zheng Wan covered her mouth and looked at him incredulously, her eyes full of hurt. “Mister Cui, you’re asking if I have any shame?”
“Yes, that day, I was the one who was overcome by my feelings and kissed Mister Cui, but later on, it was also Mister Cui who hugged, hugged——” Her eyes were red and she dropped her hands. “Fine, since you say I have no shame, I will show you my shamelessness! Mister Cui doesn’t want me, but there are many people who like me, Zheng Wan.”
“You dare.”
“Why wouldn’t I dare?” Zheng Wan wrestled his hand off. “I’ll get them to do what you didn’t finish last time——
“Umhf——”
Her eyes suddenly widened.
Cui Wang kissed her without warning; he grabbed her chin with one hand, seized her lips like a wild beast and devoured them.
Zheng Wan’s lips hurt from his sucking; she reached her hands out to push him, but her arms were firmly confined in his arms, and she couldn’t move. She let out an “Ugnh”, and while Cui Wang was intoxicated, she bit down mercilessly. Still, even when a metallic taste came between her lips, Cui Wang did not let go.
He sucked her until Zheng Wan’s resistance gradually weakened; only then did he raise his head, his lips stained with blood, the eyes on his jade-like face dark and stormy.
“Whoever dares touch you, I’ll kill them.”
At this point, the Sword Sovereign’s murderous nature was finally revealed.
Zheng Wan covered her lips as tears streamed down her face.
“You——”
“He’s not dead, but——”
Cui Wang wiped away her tears tenderly, but his voice was cold, “If I see him again, my sword will cease to behave.”
