After School Tuition Centre

"Let's go."

With those two words, five teenagers who are walking under the night sky crossed the road towards a shop lot on the other side.

The faint moonlight and starlight merged together with the blazing spotlight that was shining towards the After School Tuition Centre signboard.

Crickets chirping were the only sounds coming from the darkness as the cars passed by, headlights shine onto the bituminous road and Chong Xi Kang who was walking at the back of the group.

SKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITT

The driver almost lost control after seeing Chong Xi Kang but when he turned his head to make sure his eyes are not playing tricks on him because it is dark outside, all he sees is the staircase towards the classroom illuminated by white fluorescent lights.

Today the stairway towards the physics classroom is brighter than usual, Lee Kai Wen leads John Ng Jia An, Tan Han Sheng, Koh Zi Hong, and Chong Xi Kang towards their usual classroom for one last lesson.

"We are here." Lee Kai Wen said as he stood in front of that familiar door.

For two years they had been going in and out from this door every week.

Lee Kai Wen, the sleeping God.

Chong Xi Kang, the muscle head.

John Ng Jia An, the AV freak.

Koh Zi Hong, the pillow f.u.c.ker.

Tan Han Sheng, the eternal v.i.r.g.i.n.

The five of them pushed opened the door and entered the classroom, and the first person they saw was…

Lim Zhen Cong, the balding physics teacher.

They all sat down onto their seat, this will be their 98th week sitting here and this is their last time.

Soon they all looked around and saw familiar faces around them, Lee Kai Wen saw his friends from Secret Skill Tuition Centre.

Yong Le Rong.

Wong Yun Ye.

And the other guys.

"All of you are here?" Lee Kai Wen asked as he looked at them.

"Yup, this is the last day so we must come." Yong Le Rong answered Lee Kai Wen.

"Did you forget that we are also students here?" Wong Yun Ye added.

"YAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" The other guys shouted.

"Hahahahah." (Don't forget about us.)

"Haheeha." (We are here too.)

The girls who are constantly laughing laughed.

"HahHHahe." (Of course, how could I forget you girls?)

Their heads turned to the direction of the last laughter and saw Lim Zhen Cong smiling at them…

"HAHEHAH." (Surprised?)

The five of them gave Lim Zhen Cong a thumb up and laughed their hearts out.

Lim Zhen Cong laughed. He then walked towards Lee Kai Wen and his friends' table, the six of them looked at each other.

During the past two years, many things had happened, friendship had been made and broken.

"Sir, stop looking so sad. It is not like we will die or something." Koh Zi Hong said as he hugged Hitomi-chan.

"Yah, we will come back and visit you. Remember to take off your toupee or we will not recognise you." Tan Han Sheng added.

Lim Zhen Cong smacked their heads with his back scratcher and told them: "Even on the last day the five of you still manage to say stupid things."

After rubbing his head, Lee Kai Wen then took out his camera from his bag.

"Sir, how about we take a photo with everyone in the class."

Lim Zhen Cong looked around only to see all of his students nodding in agreement, but then he heard a peaking on the window.

It was the pigeon and orange kitten that showed up during their first year here.

"Fine, I will let you two in."

Lim Zhen Cong said and opened the window, the two critters came in along with a blue butterfly and a hive of bees.

By this point, Lim Zhen Cong had long given up and let all of the animals and bugs into the classroom.

Outside the physics classroom, somebody stood there alone. It was Goh Jie En, her eyes stared at everyone in the classroom smiling happily, but she could not enter as if there was an invisible barrier separating her and everyone else.

While she was thinking of leaving After School Tuition Centre, she suddenly heard her phone rang. Someone wanted to video call her.

"Come on let's go in, Jie En."

The voice in the video said, Goh Jie En who heard the voice falls to her knees and sobbed…

"Qi Xuan…I miss you…"

All of a sudden, someone patted her shoulder. She turned around and saw it was Danny Chen looking at her.

"Let's go in." Danny Chen said as he helped Goh Jie En to stand back up.

Goh Jie En placed her phone in front of her c.h.e.s.t so Loh Qi Xuan could see what she sees.

When they walked in, everyone quiet down and Lim Zhen Cong walked towards them alone.

"Sir, I'm…"

"No need to say anything else…"

"Once you are my student, then forever you are my student!"

Everyone cheered happily, only two guys made a fist bump with each other. They are John Ng Jia An and Tan Han Sheng.

Loh Qi Xuan who saw them made a love sign and pulled out a piece of paper to write thank you on it. She then showed it to John Ng and Tan Han Sheng who gave her a thumb up.

"So it was you guys who called her?" Koh Zi Hong along with Hitomi-chan placed his head in between Tan Han Sheng and John Ng and asked them the question.

Loh Qi Xuan who saw what happened chuckled and continued to talk with everyone else.

"Let's keep it a secret, just between the four of us." John Ng Jia An said to Koh Zi Hong.

"Food delivery for After School Tuition Centre!"

The Mamak owner, ice cream man, chicken rice boss lady, and durian seller entered the classroom. The four of them placed food onto the table and gave Lee Kai Wen and Chong Xi Kang a thumb up.

"We ordered the correct food this time." Lee Kai Wen said as he opened a tub of ice cream that was filled with fish and bread.

Finally, everyone is here.

All of them gathered together and get ready for one last photo together.

Lee Kai Wen used physics textbooks and exercise book as a stand to set up his camera, he presses the countdown button and ran towards everyone.

"One!"

"Two!"

"Three!"

"After School Tuition Centre!"
