“Fuahahahaaa, weak, weak! If you want to beat me, bring the main characters from Ma**nger Z, Get*** Robo, and G**dam!” 1

I’m stupidly excited. What I’m playing is the otome game called “To The Sky Beyond the Sacred Machine Academy”, which has become really popular.

The reason it has become so hot wasn’t because of its quality as an otome game, I wasn’t even interested in that. Put simply, the game was about falling in love with a handsome man who piloted robots called “Sacred Machines” in a fantasy world… and for some reason, the bonus was an action game where you could actually pilot the Sacred Machines.

Yeah, to be honest, I don’t even know what the developers were thinking. However, the end result was that this bonus was amazingly good. It had great reviews on the internet from everyone interested in mecha games. There were plenty of strange rumors about it, such as despite being an otome game, the customers were overwhelmingly men, and that the developers apparently wanted to make a mecha game, but were instructed by the executives from on high to make an otome game instead, and threw their passion into the bonus content.

And I bought the game just for the said bonus. My female otaku friend was the one that recommended it to me.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t interested in that genre.

However, she asked me for help. You have to win at the bonus robot action game to aim for the Prince character.

Because of that, I captured them with the skills I trained in other games. The bonus was so good, I bought my own copy just to play that.

And I was addicted to playing it every day without getting bored.

Only the bonus.

My friend told me to try the main story, too! She’s told me that many times but I’m sorry. When I see or get involved in romance, I get uncomfortable. Even in anime, I can’t put up with that stuff.

“Well, that’s it…” I said. “The CPU opponents were weirdly tough.”

That’s why I ended my daily battles and changed into my uniform to go to school.

However, I was so exhausted. It can’t be helped, yesterday I stayed up all night to play games. I tripped and hit my head against the corner of my drawer.

And that’s how I died.

And this was how I remembered my past memories. Me, Lillie Rivale.

The trigger was me seeing the Sacred Machines delivered to my family.

… In other words, I’ve reincarnated in a different world!

“Aaaaaahhhhhhh,” I screamed, “not yet, not yet, there were so many robots I hadn’t seen yet, and now I’ve gone went and died!”

“What’s the matter, Young Miss?!” one of the servants cried.

“What was that strange part about you having died?!” a second chimed in.

“And why do you sound so strange?!” a third added.

… They were all in a panic.

Well, to be fair? I’d panic if my Young Miss cried that she died!

“Ah, I-I’m fine…!”

After that, I managed to suppress the panic and tell them there wasn’t a serious problem.

I’ll be in trouble if I can’t solve this situation because I panicked. My problem is limited to getting this done fast.

By the way, if you’re wondering what “Sacred Machines” are, it’s the general term for the giant robots in the otome game I was playing (or rather, the bonus game).

“Woah, I really did reincarnate in an otome game,” I said.

And after that, I remembered who Lilie Rivale was, albeit only a little.

She was a young lady with excellent grades who was also popular at the Sacred Machine Academy, the main setting of the story. And she was a rival who stands in the way of the main character’s love story. I was certain she was the villainess, according to my friend from my previous life.

Honestly, I’m not familiar with this trope, but as long as you called her the villainess, it was probably because of her personality.

No, I was playing the bonus game so I don’t really know what happens in the main story, so let’s stop thinking about this.

The important part is that I’m in her position.

If I was just a coincidence, I’d be fine with that.

“As far as I know, it seems that this role in the plot will only end poorly for me…”

This was going to be a problem, it seemed I’d either die or be exiled to some faraway place.

No way.

“I don’t know why I have to be in a position where I can pilot a mecha and then meet my ruin because of the love life of someone I haven’t met!”

Well, this is going to be a problem… I don’t even know what the conflict will be in the game.

… Ah, I can’t think about this too hard.

“In other words, if I become an ace pilot where I can win even if the whole world turns again, my problems will be solved!”

That’s the crux of it all, whether I become the natural enemy of all of mankind or a knight who brings about the end of times!

Now that all this has happened, let’s hurry up and ask Father for Sacred Machine training. Well, House Rivale already has a legacy of fine machine pilots and my father is also a top ace.

“No, it’s still too early,” Father said.

Wha, wasn’t I rejected too easily?!

“No, it’s because… you can’t even train basic maneuvers because your limbs are too short,” Father continued.

I-I’m just a child! I’m only 5-years-old!!!

“I want to grow up quicklyyyy…!!”

It was the first time in my life that I wanted to grow up so badly, ah… I want to grow up quickly… I want to become an ace with a nickname like the Red Something…!!
