It’s been a few days since I met Prince William, and right now I’m attending a tea party my father was invited to.

“… I don’t want to go,” I said.

Yeah, in all honesty, I really didn’t want to go, but I’m sorry to say that my mother’s sermon would be on the horizon if I did.

Lillie Rivale… will be learning how to be a young lady of the nobility.

“Oh right, Lillie, we will be attending this party with our Sacred Machines,” Father said.

“Perhaps you should have mentioned that earlier, Father!!” I yelled. “I want to see other House’s Sacred Machines!”

And just like that, I’m ready to go!!

Unfortunately, the only Sacred Machine I’ve known is my father’s ridiculously over-equipped robot.

If you think about it, where in the world is a pile bunker and powered drill considered standard equipment?

Will he stack on even more ridiculous weapons? I can understand just a drill, I can also understand just a pile bunker.

But, having both is crazy, right? And he’s not carrying any other weapons, you know?

… I think my father might be a mentally ill person.

WOAAAAAAAAAHHHH…!

I’m inside a Sacred Machine! On Father’s lap! I’m inside Father’s Sacred Machine!!!

“Spring has come for me in this world!!” I yelled.

Ehehehehehehehe, I wouldn’t mind if I die right here and now.

“Don’t say that,” Father said, “there are plenty more fun things waiting for you in life.”

He’s got a point, I still have the dream of piloting a mecha with my own hands, I can’t die now.

“Hahahaha, you’ll be just like Papa, won’t you?”

No, I don’t to be like Roman.

And now, we’ve arrived at the venue.

“This is a party where only those invited by the royal family can attend,” Father said.

My father was a famous individual, wasn’t he?

“But it’s so lively and bustling.”

Despite that, there are so many people.

“Hmm… there seem to be 127 people here,” Father said.

Huh, you can tell that in an instant?!

“If you can’t, you can’t be a Sacred Machine pilot.”

N-No way, I couldn’t tell how many people were here right now.

“No, no, you’ve got it wrong… that’s the number of people minus the staff and the ones who invited them.”

Ho-How could you tell all that in an instant?!

“Hahahaha, no, no, this is just normal–” Father started.

“Can you stop being so humble?” someone said. “You’re the only one who’s got incredible eyes like that.”

Huh, I don’t know who that is.

“Hey, hey, don’t you know the Crimson Lightning?” that person asked.

“Compared to you, my nickname may as well be the Shitty Small Fry, wouldn’t it, huh?!” Father joked.

Crimson Lightning… I’m sure he was one of the opponents in the bonus action game… he was the strongest pilot. I’m certain his name is–

“Tsk, none of that, none of that, not in front of the young lady… Lady Lillie, as a member of House Donner, I am indebted to your father… my name is Lance Donner, pleased to make your acquaintance.”

Oh, it’s him! It’s him! It’s the ace that took me days to defeat!

“… Young Lady, why do you happen to be so happy to see me?” Lance asked.

“Because I love Sacred Machines,” I said.

“… The daughter of the Eccentric… she seems to share a unique sensibility as well,” Lance replied.

I feel like I’m being made fun of, but I don’t care in the slightest!!

“… If you don’t mind, I’d love for you to show me your Sacred Machine,” I said.

“Well, it’s no trouble to me, so why not?” Lance said.

I can see the mecha I saw in the game, in person… it’s so wonderful!!!

Huh, is that a crowd?

“Hahahahahahaha, how do you like my Gold Aureo Zolota?” 1

… Gold in German, Gold in Italian, and Gold in Russian at the end… ah, I remember it now.

Wasn’t this the weakest person in the bonus game?

The guy who got so much crap in the forums.

“Hey, hey, is that rich guy doing it again?” Lance asked.

“That he is, his Sacred Machine is strong only in performance because of all the money he put into it,” Father said.

Only in performance… say, Father.

“What’s wrong, Lillie?” he asked.

“Can I fight that person for a bit?” I asked.

“Hmm, we’ll have a problem with your size, however,” Father replied.

“Ah, I’ve got a good idea…” Lance offered. “There is the simulator.”

“Oh, we could use that, this is the royal family’s party and all,” Father said.

… This world had simulators?!

Huh, no… what…?!

“You see, it’s common to have exhibition matches between Sacred Machines during parties, so maybe we could use that,” Father said.

“The simulator makes it easy to make fine adjustments, so perhaps the Young Lady’s wish will come true,” Lance added.

… I can pilot a Sacred Machine, even if it’s not the real thing… this is the best.

“Excuse me, Golden Lord, I’d like to test your power in the simulator,” I asked.

“Ooh, do you mean yourself?!” the rich guy asked. “Or did you mean the Eccentric or the Crimson Lightning would take me on?!”

“I meant myself…!” I said.

“Hah, this little kid… nah, I’ll take you on, you don’t mind if I give it my all, though?”

“Of course, it’ll be fine. Right, Lillie?” Father asked.

“Yes, Father!” I replied.

In the future, the events of this day would be referred to as “The Dawn Of The White Lily Princess”, “The Dawn of The Sacred Machine’s Golden Age”, and the day we found “The Child Of The Eccentric Was Also An Eccentric”, but that’s the next part of the story.
