Am I Goddess Or What?

The wedding was grand. People filled the streets and were in awe after seeing a beautiful couple riding the wedding carriage. In the crowd, one woman stood and looked indifferently at the couple.

She smiled coldly as she spoke.''They seem to be happy. Or should I say she is happy for marrying him but he is happy by marrying the kingdom? He should not open his mouth and bit too much.''

Laughter sounded straight behind her and made her jump. She turned around and saw the cold smile of the man who looked at teh couple as well.

''They are a perfect couple. A fool and the wolf in human skin. After he is done with her, there won't be even bones left. I really don't know what she sees in that man.'' he said while his eyes turned icy.

She ignored his face and turned around to leave.''Whatever it is, not my problem. I am just a small businesswoman who has absolutely anything to do with royals. Luckily.''

She walked slow trough crowd and saw beautiful flowers near the river. ''Oh, how beautiful.''She smiled brightly at a small butterfly that flew past her face and strode towards another side of the river. She looked at him as he struggled in the wind and sighed.

''Why are you sighing? Do you have any problems I can help with.''asked teh young man.

''No. I sigh about the butterfly. It is hard for him to cross the river but it still tries. But if the wind comes, birds come or it loses strength, it will die. I feel sometimes just like that butterfly.'' she said while looking at it with a distressed expression.

He felt hurt and sorry for the beautiful woman in front of him. He doesn't know why but she made him feel like it was meant to be. He really likes her, but she always denies his approaching. He doesn't know what to do...

''Let me care about you. I have money and power. On my side, you will be cared, pampered and protected. What is wrong with that.''he pleaded. But she still shook her head.

''I am really grateful for your offer. But I can feel the grandeur from you. I am sure you have a noble background and to tell you truth I do not wish to have anything to do with nobles or royals.''

''Why. Just explain to me why and if you can I will give up. I promise...''he was desperate. He really wanted to make her his wife. He even told his parents about her and her background and they said if the princes can marry soldier he can marry whoever he wants. He is anyway not...

''Are you sure. I will tell you my story but if you show any kind of emotion I dislike I will disappear from the city and never come back. Do you understand?'' She had a serious look and ice cold eyes. She meant it as she said. He was sure if he does something wrong, she will disappear from his sight.

''I promise I won't say one word,'' he said and closed his eyes. He hopes it's not that bad, but what he heard was even worse than he would ever be able to imagine.

She told him the story of her being r.a.p.ed by some nobles and giving birth to a child. The child tehy found and threw to teh dragon to be eaten. After that, she was saved by the old lady and now she just wants to live far away from all trouble. The expression of pain passed on her face when she spoke of her child. ''My child...I tried to save her but...'' She stopped talking while one single tear dropped from her eye and landed on the floor.

He looked at the droplet and got angry. In this country, no one is safe anymore. The nobles are rampant,teh soldiers are rampant and he can't do anything about it. The woman he loves is so scared that she hid and changed her name just not to be found by those that caused such a big thing in her life.

''I promise. I will protect you. I will become much stronger and will protect all females. I will go now to my parents and tell them your story. Please, wait for me.''he begged while holding her tiny hand and shaking in anger.

She looked at him with those teary eyes and nodded shyly.

He felt so much happiness. Finally, after so much time she agreed. He has to rush before she changes her mind. He was happy about her agreement, but at the same time fury was born in his heart. All those that do wrong will be punished. He needs to clean all of them and make teh world safe for her. So she can smile happily more often.

Looking at him rushing off, the woman face turned from shyness into desolation.''I am sorry for using you. They all need to pay for my daughter, for my pain, and for my family pain. Only you can do it, no one else.'' She turned around and started crying.''My child, mother misses you.''

What she didn't know was that he left a few hidden guards to protect her. They heard her words and sent them to him.

He looked at the paper with the notice and smiled.''Little fool.What about it? I am willing to be used by you.'' He understood today that he really truly loves her. He went inside a big hall and saw his two parents that had a great marriage and he wanted one that was the same or similar.

''Father, mother...I know now why she doesn't wish to become my wife. I am truly sorry to her because of it.''he said while desperation was shown on his face.

They felt hurt for their youngest son. Except him, all other children have married already. They tried to find him someone but he denied all of them. Now he found one he liked, but she really disliked nobles.''Come sit down and speak slowly. Did she tell you why she hates it so much?''

His mother doted equally on all her children, but this son of hers is already this old and has no family on his own. She feels distressed for him.

He sat down, took a deep breath and started telling them the story he connected from her story and from what he found out.''I am sure there is more to the story. What about dragon was in far away town where that man brought the dragon egg from. Did they exchange the child for a damn egg? Does that idiot think we need dragon eggs? What will we do with it? Make an omelet? '' he got worked out that his whole face got red and he started coughing.

Unfortunately, since he was a child he was always sickly. That is the reason he was out of the question to become the future ruler of the country. That is one of the reasons as well as why most noble families never wanted to marry their daughters with him. But that woman never cared about anything else than his background. She hated it.

He was intrigued by that woman as she rejected him and the money she threw at him with disgust. He couldn't understand, he wanted to give her a safe life but she hated it, but now after knowing at least some of the truth...He felt even sicker.

She needs him to become stronger. Fist time in his life he had made his mind to become truly healthy and strong. At every possible mean.

''Father, mother, may I still marry her. We do not need a big ceremony. I won't invite anyone and you can just let those nasty people know about it. I promise I will become stronger and I will become big brothers helper.''

They saw the determination in his eyes and knew that he finally got out his lethargy and is now willing to do what tehy begged for...live truly. They nodded with smiles.''Just bring her here and we will accept her. Don't worry.''

She is actually lucky. The King and teh Queen of this country were quite soft people that ruled with the soft hand and a big heart. But that is one of the reasons why many unrelated people started having greedy thoughts about their country.

He gave a big hug to his parents and with new vigor, he walked out into his new life. From now on, I need to become stronger for my wife, my parents, my family, and the country. He said while his eyes changed. From blue color, his eyes turned black and icy...
