Chapter 29: Apocalypse Pilgrims

Chapter XXIX: Apocalypse Pilgrims

“If you can…” Ghost Rider continued, “I hope you can fight these evil spirits on my behalf, my strength is still too weak, the evil spirit you just killed with ease, I spent three weeks chasing hunting.”

Rhodes shook his head, he didn’t have time to protect some normal humans, Lauf was the bigger threat.

“Your strength is not weak, as long as you are willing to calm down, don’t let the spirit of vengeance in your body control your own words.” Rhodes said lightly.

This sentence made Ghost Rider’s body shudder, “You…how did you know that I would temporarily lose my mind while fighting?”

Rhodes knew the weakness of Ghost Rider. If the early Ghost Rider could not skillfully control the relationship between the evil spirit and himself, he would be robbed of his sanity and turned into a fighting machine.

Only when he understands the existence of evil spirits, reconciles with him, and fights together can the strongest strength erupt.

“You have to calm down and reconcile with the evil spirit in your body. Don’t think about suppressing him or resisting him, nor obeying him.” Rhodes said lightly and left.

Ghost Rider sat on the ground, and Rhodes’ words seemed to wake him up, causing him to sink into deep thought.

Early the next morning, Rhodes rode a Pegasus with Sig at the help of the villagers.

“Master Shenbing, you can choose any woman in the village, please stay for a while.”

“I’ve killed the evil spirits that plagued you, why do you still want to keep me?” Rhodes asked in confusion.

The villagers bowed their heads one by one, only a yellow-haired man looked at Rhodes kneeling on the ground and smiled ingratiatingly.

“If the village can be guarded by the divine soldiers, neither the people of other villages nor the evil creatures in the forest will dare to intrude.”

Rhodes shook his head, disappointed with human servility, clamped his Pegasus under him, and disappeared into the sky.

In the sky, Rhodes clicked on the crystal screen on his arm, and then a 3D map of Egypt appeared in front of him in the form of a holographic projection.

Rhodes himself though could see the holy city of Egypt, Tinis, in the distance.

But if you just point out one direction, Tianma will be a little confused.

After showing him the map and adding a certain explanation, the psychic Tianma immediately understood and accelerated towards Tinis.

Before reaching the Holy City, Rhodes saw a group of people forming a long line in the sky above the desert outside the city.

They actually stopped three steps above the yellow sand, and then solemnly kowtowed in the direction of the holy city.

Rhodes patted Pegasus, “Go down, let’s see what these people are doing?”

Tenma lowered the flight height and slowly came to the ground.

In the desert, a light green barrier appeared out of thin air on the hooves of Pegasus, holding it on top of the yellow sand, so that it would not sink because of the quicksand.

Backed by the barrier, it carried Rhodes and Sieg closer to the grotesque beings.

“Oh oh!”

When everyone saw Pegasus fall, they immediately kowtowed to Rhodes and Sieg, and bowed in adoration.

“Apostle of the great Lord Apocalypse, please accept our humble homage. We regard our Creator Lord Apocalypse as the only god and praise his existence.”

Their cheeks were dry due to lack of water, like the yellow sand on the soles of their feet, but their eyes were piercingly bright, exuding a frenzied gleam that made people twitch at the corners of their eyes because of their madness.

Rhodes recalled that when he entered the gate of the village yesterday, the villagers actually regarded him as an apostle of Apocalypse. Is Apocalypse so influential in this country?

“What do you think of Apocalypse?” Rhodes asked.

Everyone looked at each other, thinking it was the apostle sent by Apocalypse to test their loyalty.

“We see Lord Apocalypse as a god, as our Lord, and his will is our will.”

Rhodes couldn’t help but wonder what Apocalypse had done to make these people so religious.

“Then what can you do for Apocalypse? Can you die for him?” Rhodes asked casually, just indifferently, without any pointers.

A few people with crazy eyes jumped out of the crowd. They shouted loudly, “For Lord Apocalypse! Praise Lord Apocalypse!”

Then he actually pulled out the blade and wiped it on his neck, ending his life.

Fresh blood flowed on the yellow sand, and when it dried up, it turned into pitch black.

The rest of the people kowtowed to the ground, bowing again and again to those who committed suicide, expressing their respect.

Rhodes and Sig couldn’t help but twitch their eyes, what kind of belief is this? This is simply cult-like mind control.

Seeger patted Rhodes on the shoulder, “Let’s go, these people are crazy, the one called Apocalypse doesn’t look easy, we have to be careful.”

Rhodes nodded, all he knew was that Apocalypse’s Ability was so powerful that even if Odin fought him, it would be hard to know the outcome.

But I didn’t expect that Apocalypse could actually achieve such thought control.

He left with Pegasus on his back, and then headed to the Holy City.

In order not to attract people’s attention, Rhodes asked Pegasus to wait outside the city until he called Roar before coming, and then walked into the holy city with Sieg.

The streets were full of people as crazy as the pilgrims just now. After walking a few steps, they knelt down and kowtowed, respecting the Egyptian palace on the high ground in the distance as the most holy relic.

Among the people who came and went, Apocalypse was the one who was talking about it. *
