An Innocent Heart Longing For Love

Chapter 27 - I have no hope of giving up

Jacob sensed his sister's worries but unfortunately he could not help it, he was so haunted by that girl. For each and every move he takes, he could perceive her in some way or another.

He even thought that it might be because of his epistemophilic personality. Jacob was someone who really loves to learn, search and read about new things such as Technologies, science, martial arts, etc... So that his passion was only to acquire more knowledge.

When Esther warned him about his epistemophilic personality, he initially thought that his sister might be correct. It was true that he always loses his passion for something he greed about was conquered.

But Jacob would always fight back with his inner conflicts, as he don't want to give up, what does my love for perceiving knowledge got to do with this girl?

To be on a safe boat, Jacob indeed tried to distract himself with so many kinds of stuff, Sooner or later, it all evoked her.

Jacob even tried to go for a blind date with so many girls. Consequently, he started comparing them with Anna, their eyes, their nose bridge, their lips. He subconsciously would think Anna had a rosy cheeks, this girl's eyebrows are no match to Anna's. All his so called efforts were wasted.

Initially, Jacob just had an idea of having fun. However, when she never turned back to call, he felt something from his heart was taken away. He could not point out what it was.

Waiting after days and nights for her call, Jacob became even more obsessed with her thoughts. There were times that Jacob would ogle at Anna's photos which was taken while she was sleeping in the car s.u.c.k.i.n.g her thumb quietly. Her perfect nose bridge, her all so perfect wavy hair, her pure jasmine colored forehead, he could go on and on. He never lost his passion for her.

When Jacob thought of so many ways to contact her, he turned it all down. He wanted her to like him for who he really was, rather than the identity of a CEO or the materialistic side of his profile.

Jacob stood in front of a huge glass wall, sighting the buzzing city. His eyes landed on a little girl who was dragged by her mother, her golden blonde hair swayed in the air. The sight of the little girl reminded him of Anna who stole his heart.

Jacob recalled the time when he clutched Anna's hand and dragged her through the crowd to buy her a meal. A warm smile spread on his face," I have no hope of giving you up, Anna!"

While Jacob was daydreaming, his phone buzzed, breaking the silence. With a little reluctance, he answered Kevin. Jacob knew that this time he sure had gone overboard.

However, on the contrary, Kevin answered enthusiastically, "Hey man! Anna got a library hour. By then, I'll help you see her again. How is that sounds?! Isn't great!"

Jacob smiled at his tricky friend's support, "Kevin! Why are you doing this all, you could have simply said no."

"What nonsense are you spouting, you are my best buddy, what I am doing is nothing compared to what you have done for me."

"Crazy!" Jacob laughed out loud at his friend's enthusiasm.

"Come on! You even helped me to kidnap my girlfriend on her marriage. If it was not for you, I would be rotting somewhere drunk, how would I forget." Standing at the end of the corridor, out of sight of the remaining world, Kevin hoped determinately, "Be ready for the live telecast."

Kevin has long forgotten his friend's harassment. If it was not for Jacob, his love would have married the person force-fed by her father. It was Jacob who rode his bike in the middle of the chapel and with a swirl, he took the bride away from the venue and helped them register their marriage secretly on the same date.

Jacob smiled at his friend's abnormal behavior, "Agreed, I'll be waiting!"

While Jacob and Anna's professor discussing the supposed actions sequence of the live broadcast in the library, Anna and her gang were planning to sneak out during the library hour to practice Air- max moves.
