An Innocent Heart Longing For Love

Shane opened the door and found that Chris was eavesdropping, With a little surprise he questioned, "Hey Chris, what are you doing?"

"Eavesdropping, what else" Chris grinned showing all his pearly teeth.

Shane's eyebrows shot up, Hey! This boy said that he is eavesdropping and even said that so boldly , "Never mind! Where is your Sister Anna?"

"Why are you looking for Anna? Hey! Are you also here for a marriage proposal?"

Shane looked at the little sister-protective-tiger and thought, So!!! That's how Anna comes to know about Huo's marriage proposal. Mmm... Eavesdropping is also Kinda good.

"Yes! Regarding the proposal, I need to talk to your sister. Can you tell me where she is?"

With a hesitation Chris replied, "She is in the maid's room at the end of the corridor." Again someone was here to grab my sister away. Hmm… what to do… what to do…

His little brain could not find a way to solve the issue.

"In the maid's room? What is she doing there?" 

"Because that is her room, she stays there." Saying so, Chris ran to look for maid Sara as he was in a hurry to find a quick plan to get rid of this new Groom.

All the while, Anna nervously waited in her room for Aunt Luyisa, she wondered,  It's been a while, why aunt didn't come and check me out?

While she was anticipating a call from her aunt, she heard a gentle knock in the door and then the door creaked open, she found a lean man standing in the doorway.

Her heartbeat started racing rapidly and her red cheek blushed deeply as a red velvet rose. She could not look into the man's eyes anymore as she dropped her gaze down.

She tried to welcome him but her words died in the way out. She couldn't breathe properly anymore, she felt that at any minute she might faint.

Shane dazed out when he set his eyes on her, she looked like an angel jumped out of heaven. Only when Anna cut her gaze out, he was able to comprehend himself.

Now what can he tell her? That he doesn't like women but prefer men? Damn! How can he say such an excuse now? Hmm… awkward! he was never been in such an awkward position before. Maybe, he should just marry her and avoid further complications just like that. No worries…

' Hey, wait!!! No worries? What about my ambitions, goals, and dreams, etc…'

When Shane had so many inner conflicts, he tried to put aside all his train of thoughts and acknowledged her, "Hello! It's been a long time, how are you?"

Anna put all her efforts to look at the man in front of her once again. She gulped and nodded wordlessly.

He was her first love, The prince charming that she was awaiting for so long to take her to their fairy-tale world, has finally arrived.

Shane who was always bold in handling tough situation was nervous for the first time in his life, he asked, "Do you know why I am here?"

"Yes" with just one word of reply, she was already out of breath.

"So! You are ready to marry me just like that? Don't you want to know about me at all?" Shane's question electrocuted her entire body.

Yes! Of course! She wants to know about him! But in the end, she will only love him more…

'No response? Hmm…' he moved forward and he was only two steps away from her, then he lifted her chin gently and looked into her eyes and said "Okay! Do you want to marry me?" he asked as if a matter-of-fact.

She couldn't find words. Is it possible for a person to forget how to speak all of a sudden? She blinked and blinked.

Shane looked down at her thoughtfully, ' Is she doesn't want to marry me just like the way I felt? if that so, then we can make a mutual verbal agreement regarding our future so that both of us can be off the hook.'
