When Shane woke up late in the morning, he found that Anna had already left. With a newborn spirit, he booked a clubhouse couple pass and waited all day in class and when he got tired of waiting, he had gone looking for Anna. To his disappointment, He could not figure out where she was.

The newborn love he explored for the first time in his life was all squashed even before opening its petals to bloom, He felt a heart wrenching pain throbbing in his soul.

He mobilized an army of guards and tracked Anna. No matter what her decision was, he was supposed to protect her as per their marriage bargain. All through his way, he craved extremely that what he heard was not true.

Anna who was in the middle of texting stopped when she heard several more footsteps, She gasped to find a group of armed force entering the lounge. When she spotted Shane in the middle, All the colors left in her face was drained. 'How come he is here.'

Shane's sharp eyes pierced Anna's soul. With a long stride, he walked towards Anna while Jacob held his stance not having any intention of moving away. Anna leaped forward to stop the upcoming crisis.

She was so worried that the two men might end up fighting.

To everyone surprise, a sharp slap landed on Anna's face making her fall unsteadily to the floor. Aaliyah screeched and knelt to aid Anna, "Anna!!!"

Before Shane could put his hands down to his side, a strong kick landed on Shane's abdomen making him fly into the air. Anna who was disoriented by the slap tried hard to catch up with the act.

Shane vomited blood, and all the guards straightened their gun to point at Jacob. Anna's bodyguard rushed towards Jacob like a bull. With one loud snap, Jacob held the guard's neck and made him a human shield from the pointing gun. He held a murderous glint and he yearned to kick the hell out of the man who just hit his girl in front of his face.

Aaliyah supported Anna to stand up, one side of her face was imprinted with five finger marks and her lower lips were swollen. She stumbled to get up and sought to locate Shane When she found Shane was thrown to the side like a rag doll, she rushed to him with agony.

"Shane! Shane!! Are you okay?!" she shrieked and tears twinkled in her eyes, she laid him in her l.a.p and fondled his face and continued to wipe the blood in his mouth with her T-shirts.

Jacob was perplexed by Anna's actions. 'even if he torment, she would still be on his side.' The worst thing in all was that the tears she shed were for the men who hit her hard.

"Shane! Shane! Speak to me, are you alright?" her voice echoed everywhere. The whole arena was so silent, even the cold-blooded mercenaries could not stand to watch it.

She looked up to face Jacob and grimaced, "What is wrong with you?! Why are you keep showing up yourself where ever I turn! Just get out of my sight forever, Just stay away!" She screamed at her lungs, She let out all the grievance she held back.

Jacob who could not hold anymore yelled back at her, "You still stuck with this good for nothing boyfriend of yours who just slapped you in front of everyone and threw you to the floor. Don't you just open your eyes and see the vast sky out?!"

Anna replied with gritted teeth, "He is not my boyfriend but my husband, He holds all the rights over me. So, just stay away from our family matters."

"Husband?" Jacob petrified by her words. He slowly loosened his grip on the guard's neck. He was at loss for words, 'this can't be true. She is lying, yes, lying!!!'

He started laughing weirdly, "No! you are lying, you are just lying!! I don't believe you, I will never believe you!"

"I am not asking you to." those words pierced his heart like a sword. He looked around the scene like a madman and like he was in a nightmare and waiting for someone to wake him up.

Anna with a heavy heart pulled Shane up and steadied him but Shane pushed her away avoiding her touch.
