An Innocent Heart Longing For Love

Anna sat alone in the balcony perceiving the newly bloomed flowers in the pot. Her thoughts wavered as her touch on the phone made her heartthrob.

'Where did he go?'

Once returning home from the hospital, Anna secretly tried to contact Jacob to confront him straight. It is clear that he knows much more than what he just revealed.

Her intuition fought back the urge to believe whatever Jacob said was true. The only person who can reveal the truth was long gone taking all the blames along with him.

It's been a week already, everything turned to normal like nothing ever happened. Shane and his father were too busy reconciling both Torizo and Symonds corporation under their control. They both hardly returned home.

As promised, Clayton sent necessary doc.u.ments to make Anna's legal husband to run the Corporation. Luyisa, as agreed to Clayton to give Anna a peaceful life made Shane be the acting CEO of Symonds Corporation until Anna's age was ripe enough to take full responsibility of the Corporation.

Presently, Symonds Corporation was running smoothly. Lulu's scheme was revealed and Anna's inheritance from her grandmother was reverted back to Anna.

Most importantly, Anna's formal wedding arrangements were initiated and running smoothly. Her pearl beaded wedding gown was to be delivered soon.

Any woman would feel her heart content and happy for having the man she loved all her life vow to marry her at last.

Her dream has finally come true.

Still, Anna's heart weighed heavily, is it because of the guilt that she holds thinking about living in a man's ruined life?

Even if Jacob was involved or not with the CEO of the BMF Corporation, Why did he release the report? Don't he know that his statement would kill him?

Anna panicked as her thoughts run wild, she picked her phone again to check the social media to find present news about BMF Corporation. So far, the cops were unable to find any solid proof to accuse CEO of the BMF Corporation had involved with Lulu's wrongdoings.

Anna always wondered how come they never investigated about why the Symonds shares that BMF Corporation held was transferred to Edward Symonds. She would have never known the case if she had not attended the meeting herself. 'Is it real that Mr. Jacob Shaw fancied me?'

Anna checked from website to website, and she went through different news sources as well as business news. Nothing important was tagged on the main page.

Anna saw one news in the corner, 'Lieutenant Colonel Henry was married.'

Anna never paid much attention to politics and military standards. Out of habit, she intended to skip the page. But the corner of her eye caught a sentence which made her stop momentarily.

'The bride was proclaimed as one of the famous businesswoman, Esther who was the acting CEO of the BMF Corporation.'

Anna mumbled, "No wonder, why the cops announce that there was no solid proof."

As Anna snorted, she continued to dig more about Esther and Henry. The details available was inadequate for what Anna was hunting for.

However, it should be noted that the couple owned a strong bearing. If they come together to assemble an event they both possessed the capacity to bring every single important person in the nation to gather in one place together.

Nevertheless, the biggest news of the nation was restrained and it was clear that they held no intention to brag about their marriage.

Her interest peaked at this point, and she started digging more from the profile available online about the lieutenant colonel, Henry.

Henry overall achievements as a commander and his recent successful operation were all listed. When she was rummaging his profile, She observed one more small article on his profile page.

'A mountain hiker was spotted on the military range in Derah mountain. Furthermore, he was released after inquiry.' The article was pinned with a photograph of a man hiking high up in the mountain region.

What made Anna stop was not the news but the man in the photo. Yes, It was Jacob!

'What the hell is he doing there in Derah mountain? The war was brewing in there for so long, which stupid would go there?

Anna reread the headline and description again and again to ensure what she read was accurate. Her heart beat slowed down and she felt hard to breath in as she said, "Derah mountain!"

"Madam?! Derah mountain? Are you sure!" The marriage organizer who just walked in, to question Anna about her preferred location for marriage heard Anna's unconscious answer as 'Derah mountain'.

Anna again repeated in a daze, "Derah Mountain!" she did not even realize that the wedding organizer was questioning her, she continued to repeat 'Derah mountain' out of her unconsciousness.

The event planner took that as Anna's interest and walked out of the place in bafflement, 'Why would someone want their wedding arena in the most terrible place? Weirdo!'
