Ant King In MHA

Chapter 111

__________ POV Narration__________

The partnership between the Shie Hassaikai and the Meta Liberation Army was an extremely strange and spur of the moment deal.

It was a rushed ordeal that was made with the sole purpose to take down the two most powerful heroes alive. All Might and Beru.

They came into contact after Re-Destro learned of their brand new product, the 'Quirk-Destroying Drug'. It was a tool that the long-nosed CEO could see the applications off. Especially in the upcoming battle.

He cared little for the 'unethical' methods of production. He rushed to meet and talk with the leader of the dealers and creators of that weapon.

In their talk, the two of them could agree about plenty of things, and, apparently, they had a common enemy.

Well, they were villains, so they would obviously have a common enemy. But this time, the enemy happened to be attacking the Meta Liberation Army.

So the Shie Hassaikai was rather inclined to help them. Why? Well, now that the news of their drug was spreading throughout the underworld, heroes were bound to take notice of their presence.

And that wasn't a good thing. So, to lighten the load, Overhaul decided that helping the Meta Liberation Army take out a few of the 'bad actors' among the heroes would only be beneficial to them...

But, the deal wasn't all that simple.

There was yet another issue that Re-Destro had no idea of. Overhaul absolutely despised anything that the Meta Liberation Army stood for. So, one can guess what his choice was in that matter.

'I'll help them, both sides will be weakened by the end. It will be easier to kill them both.' After all, all he needed to take care of his foes was a simple touch. The second he touched someone, he could decompose the on a molecular level.

The defence didn't matter, neither did strength. All he needed to do was get close, and the fight was done.

Re-Destro was unaware of this, he had no way of knowing just how much Overhaul despised quirks. He actually respected the man greatly due to the power of his quirk.

Well, he didn't actually know him well enough to trust him. But he still didn't account for this strange clash of ideologies that could happen in between the Army and the Shie Hassaikai.

Whether it was out of poor planing, hurry, or complete and utter incompetence, he was going to see the consequences of his own actions...

But, for now. Overhaul had a similar goal to his. Take down the two strongest heroes.

Turning on the Liberation Army while these two were still alive was simply foolish. So, he needed to learn to prioritize.

That's how they reached their current situation. The two leaders of their respective groups staring down a bored and dangerous individual that they saw as the biggest threat to their respective causes.

All Might was also a large threat, but Beru was much stronger, that was a known fact in the underworld.

The two villains circled around the hero with wary gazes. But Beru was not really putting as much effort into his performance.

"So, how're we gonna do this?~Blackjack?~ Strip-Poker? Not that I have any clothes.~ Maybe Russain Roulette? I like playing the version with 5 bullets by the way.~" He said while pulling onto his hands and stretching a bit.

Almost like he was preparing for a light jog or something.

Overhaul gritted his teeth through his mask and Re-Destro's smirked as some of his skin turned a pitch black.

"It would be wise for you to take this a bit more seriously..." The suited CEO said as some veins appeared on his forehead.

Overhaul was silent, but his eyes seemed to be burning a hole through Beru's skull.

"Nah~ I think you guys should first prove that you're to be treated seriously~ The only person that had that connotation is All for One by the way~ My standards are a bit too high~," Beru said dismissively.

He was also referring to Peak All for One. Not the weakened version he ended up fighting.

Even while 'fighting' the two of them, he was constantly supporting the heroes. He found it strange that some of the villains seemed to be aiming specifically in non-vital places. But he blocked those bullets nonetheless.

The bullets themselves also seemed to be a bit different, but he didn't look too deeply into it.

Overhaul growled as he crouched down, he placed both his hands on the roof of that building as he stared at Beru.

Re-Destro also started growing larger and larger as he grew more frustrated.

Suddenly, Beru saw the floor underneath him shift. Countless spikes were raised, trying to dig into him.

But it was just concrete, although their speed was quite decent in his opinion.

"Interesting ability, Plague Doctor~ But you're aiming a bit out of your league here~" He was going to continue taunting the masked man. But he also noticed that Re-Destro was already at his side.

A fist about as large as he was, coming directly from his side. Beru looked curiously at the fist, wondering why Re-Destro's power also turned him black.

He raised his arm slightly, intending to stop the punch, but just as he was about to do that, Overhaul also rushed in, a hand outstretched, trying to touch his torso.

'Hmm, he seems to be somehow manipulating the things he touches... Better not let him do as he pleases.' He had already analysed the quirk that Overhaul used. He didn't know everything about it, but it quite obviously had a lot to do with his hands. Palms specifically.

So, he raised his legs at an unbelievable speed and kicked Overhaul away. The masked villain broke through the protective railing of the roof and flew straight into a neighbouring office building.

He smashed through the glass headfirst as Beru looked at him and wondered if he went a bit too hard.

But that wondering had left him open for a split second, that coupled with him kicking Overhaul away, gave Re-Destro ample time to punch Beru.

And he did punch him. His large, black fist connected to Beru's side as the insectoid thought 'Hmm, It's been a while since I've had sushi. I should definitely try it tonight.'

Re-Destro's punch was powerful, the type that none could usually ignore. The ground under Beru cracked and segmented as the building trembled.

Beru was then sent flying into the same office building as Overhaul. Creating a sonic boom that broke most of the windows in that office.

Such a loud fight instantly caught the attention of the other heroes. They were just about to start breaking through the inner parts of the city.

But they were stopped in their tracks when seeing a building further into the city be almost toppled down.

'Who is fighting there? Did another villain defect?' Mirko was instantly questioning the situation.

"It's probably Beru honestly"Said Cementoss to the side. "... Yeah seems like something he'd do," Aizawa responded plainly as he stared at another villain in the crowd that was trying to use a long-ranged quirk.

"Can you guys stop debating and start helping!?" Midnight started nagging them as she spread her miasma into the crowd in front of her.

Now would be a good time to mention that the equipment all of the heroes received also had a special gas mask. They anticipated the extensive use of her Somnambulist quirk, so they prepared accordingly.

"We're helping! Stop complaining already..." Aizawa said in a tired tone as he stopped to put some drops in his dry eyes.

"Taking a break mid-battle isn't really a good idea..." Said Cementoss with the same disinterested face as he rose concrete walls and dropped them onto the villains.

"Yeah... This isn't really a fight though..." Aizawa said while starting at a villain charging at him. Just as he was about to reach him, a black portal opened up and swallowed the villain.

"This feels more like a test we'd give the students..." He said with a wry smile. He had absolute trust that Beru would support him, so he was quite free to treat his Dry Eyes to some rest.

Cementoss just sighed, he had absolutely no way to refute that.

__________ POV Beru__________

Damn, who knew long-nose can punch that good.

I remember that Muscular guy, he was actually weak by comparison. That's pretty impressive honestly.

Still not enough to warrant any seriosity. But I still won't let the masked guy touch me. Stranger danger and all that.

I slowly got out of the rubble of the collapsing office building and looked around.

Suddenly, I felt the wind to my side shift. It was none other than the masked villain. He'd have taken me by surprise if he wasn't moving in slow motion.

Well, slow motion is actually comparably fast when I look at this.

I know! Since he uses his quirk with his arms, then he's not really that big a deal without them! Brilliance!

I gave him one last sideways glance as I swiped one of my hands in his direction.

His wrists were cleanly cut off, his eyes widened in panic and fear as he watched his hands fly off into the rubble.

From his running position, he ended up tumbling onto the floor and hitting his face onto the ground.

He then released one of those usual blood-curdling screams that people I fight tend to release by the end. Looking at the blood on my claws, I guess taking his quirk is only natural at this point.

Although I don't really see much reason to use it. Who knows. It's in front of me, I guess.

Looking up at the building, I could see Re-Destro, he looked at me with a serious gaze. I guess he saw the spectacle.

I unfurled my wings and appeared in front of him.

"Say~ How's about we just end this war?~ It's kind of boring to me~"

Re-Destro took an unsteady step back as he sweated a bit. Still, for some strange reason, he seems composed.

Even though it's pretty clear that he dealt no damage to me, and that his ally there can't even be of help anymore...

What's he got up his sleeve?
