Asgardian Sword God

Chapter 15 - Semester begins

Within a blink of an eye, a month has already passed. And during that month, Vali has done nothing other than following the same routine he had previously followed when he prepared himself for the Academy entrance exams.

As for the reason why Vali followed this same routine instead of training himself in ways that could increase his power level is not because of his own choosing.

Rather, it is because of the fact that training by himself with the means available to him did not increase his power level by much. As even after training himself severely for 10 days, Vali saw an increase of only 5 points in his Power Level. And as most of the stronger warriors of Asgard are not in Asgard but are out fighting in skirmishes and trying to conquer the nine realms, Vali could not get the time to fight with any of them. Especially Brunhild, Vali wanted to test himself to see how long he could last if she attacks him with her full strength as he had obtained new skills and experience and increase in his strength.

Due to this, as a result, Vali had no choice but to train himself in his skills using a similar routine. As following this routine would give him more beneficial to him, he could increase the level of his skills and get an increase in his power level.

Even though training to increase in his power level could give him more points in power level than following this routine. But most of his skill level would stagnate.

And although Hela has been sparring with him, due to the severe difference in their power levels, even if Vali could win against Hela every single time, he gains almost nothing from his victory. In fact, Vali saw that training by himself gave him a more increase in his power level.

This made Vali extremely worried as to how he could make himself strong enough for achieving his goal. If he could not gain much from receiving with just a difference of around one thousand, what would happen if he and his opponents have a difference of power levels in tens of thousands. Vali wondered if he would still be able to gain any points from defeating them. Vali knew that he had to find some way to accelerate the growth of his power level.

But, as Vali could not do anything about his problems at the moment, he had to reluctantly accept the reality of the truth.

And during this month, even though Vali could still not level up his skills, as he saw a 10 point increase in his power level by following this routine and as kept on practising himself, he knew he would not be far away from levelling them up.

And regarding the Academy, even though the Academy provide a dorm for their students, Vali and Hela chose not to stay there. This is because they knew that staying at the dorm, even though it might be more convenient for them to quickly get to classes, they also knew with the advantages also comes along the disadvantages.

So, to have more freedom and fewer restrictions in their life, they both choose not to stay at the dorm.

This is the truth especially for Vali since he would gain almost close to nothing from just practising and sparring with the students in the Academy. And also, to increase the levels of his skills, since he did not need the help of the teachers. Staying at the palace is beneficial for him as he could practice his skills any time he wants and as long as he wants to.

For Vali, spending a couple of years going to this academy is a nuisance but since this is something that he had to do if he wanted to roam outside of Asgard or participate in the war for the conquest of the nine realms. He had to go to the Academy.

Although he could ask his father to help him get out of this, as his father seems to be in favor of going to the Academy and as he had used his father to broke several rules already, he chose not to do it.

And since he had enrolled in the Academy, Vali had to attend the classes just for the sake of graduating and obtain the low-rank warrior certificate.

And since today is the first day of the semester, Vali and Hela went to the Academy for the orientation of the new students.

For the location of the orientation of the new students, the Academy used the same stadium where Vali and Hela took their sword fighting examination.

Even though the size of the stadium is extremely big, due to the enormous amount of students, the stadium is completely packed to the very last seat.

And right in the center of the stadium on one of the stages stood the principal of the Academy, Kvasir.

" Welcome to the Asgard Warriors Academy. " said Kvasir.

Although Kvasir is not using any microphone or speakers to increase the volume of his voice, it could be heard by every single one of the people inside the stadium.

As Vali saw that Kvasir was in fact not shouting so that the students might hear his voice. He believed that Kvasir must have used some sort of magical skills to perform this feat.

Although Vali is not sure as he had not fiddle with magic before except for rune magic. Since there is no other explanation, he believed it to be so.

With seeing and experiencing this kind of feat being able to be performed due to magic, Vali felt interested in the effects of magic.

But, as the system did not give him another skill slot, Vali did not know whether if learning magic by himself without the help of the system would be possible.

While Vali is wondering about all of this, Kvasir had kept on speaking to the students.

" If you want to apply for graduation from the Academy, you can do it at the earliest by 5 years after you enrolled in the Academy. And one warning to all of you here, a student has to graduate by the age of 200 if he or she wants to receive a low-rank warrior certificate." said Kvasir.

Hearing this, some of the students in the stadium are surprised by the announcement. This is because they knew and read about a fact.

Before Kvasir announces this, when they researched about the school, they read that for a student to graduate from the Academy, they have to wait for at least 10 years after they had enrolled. This sudden change is because Odin had asked ' politely ' to Kvasir to reduce the number of years before a student could apply for their graduation. Since he knew who Odin exactly is, Kvasir had no choice but to accept Odin's request.

Then, not long after he told the student of this change in the rules of the Academy, Kvasir speech finally comes to an end as he said, " I hope you all can graduate with flying colors. "

As he finished his speech, Kvasir walked off the stage and he began mumbling something to himself.

As Kvasir was mumbling, Vali heard suddenly hear someone speaking to him, " Do not disappoint me and your father Odin."

Hearing the voice of Kvasir, Vali felt surprised. It felt to him like Kvasir is personally whispering to him.

Kvasir had said this to Vali because he knew that even though Odin's daughter Hela came to the Academy, he knew that Odin's request is not for her but for Vali.

With this skill used by Kvasir, Vali became more and more fascinated with magic.

Although the system did not give him another skill slot, Vali resolves himself to try and learn magic as soon as his other skills get to a higher level.

And with the orientation being finished, Vali and Hela quickly left the stadium to go to their own respective classroom.
