Avenger From Another World

Visibility getting weaker as Xiao venture deeper into the cave. Sunlights were getting block off slowly with each turn Xiao took.

So far, Xiao hasn't got ambush by any Goblin yet, but he has already light up a torch to light his path.

As Xiao went deeper into the cave, he encounters more and more split paths. Xiao stuck a shinning pebble into the wall as a marking whenever he had come across a cross path.

Xiao also didn't hesitate when it comes to choosing the path. This was because of his Gamer Eyes. Xiao's unique eyes allow him to amplify the footprints left by the Goblin on the ground.

By following the footprints, he will eventually reach the core of the Goblin hideout.

Aside from the Goblin's footprints, he also noticed dried blood and cuts around the wall and ground.

("Some misfortune soul must have wandered into this hell hole.")

Xiao thought to himself as he leaned down to exam the ground and the cave wall. He saw the sign of struggle and some broken nail digging deep into the ground.

("Nothing leftover. Those little shit must have taken everything into the hideout. Only some dry blood, hair and nail left, poor soul literally got dragged into their demise.")

Rage slowly boils up within him as Xiao imagine how the battle ended with these unfortunate wanderers.

Xiao quickly took a few deep breaths to calm himself and focus his mind on his current goal.

Xiao had also checked before that this cave only has an entrance. The multiple cross path may present itself as a large cave, but it was not big as it appears to be in reality. It was the turns and limited visibility that was messing with the people senses.

The reason why Xiao wasn't afraid of getting ambush by the Goblin was the fragrance he had put on himself.

Xiao was the one that made the fragrance by himself. The ingredients consist of the rare white morning glory flower that got grind into powder.

Although Goblin hates the smell of the white morning glory flower, it still not enough to affect them. So Xiao mixes the powder with a unique tree root, which amplifies the effect ten times.

With the effect of the fragrance, Xiao didn't encounter a single Goblin, other than the groaning sound of them coming deeper within the cave.

And finally, Xiao stumbles into a spacious area. Visibility returns as the upper part of the area have multiple big holes, allowing the sunlight to penetrate through it.

Xiao spotted a horde of Goblins holding their nose in agony. Behind the Goblins consists of two narrow paths.

("Bingo! Just like how I virtualize the scenario will be, this Goblin Bane works just as I expected.")

Xiao praises his custom made fragrance, which he decided to give a name and lets out a sly smile.

Xiao suspects that the Goblins standing in front of him did not venture deeper into those paths because it will lead into the heart of their hideout.

Despite the fragrance torturing their nose, the Goblins has no choice but to stand and guard the entrance of the path with their life.

("All that left is to scrub out these vermin. This is gonna be a big clean up!")

Xiao pulls out his short sword from his back and ready a few daggers on hand as he approves the Goblins.

"Hey, hey, you guys gonna fight me with your hand on your nose? Isn't it rude to do that to someone you've just meet?"

Xiao sarcastically teases the Goblins as he kicks off the ground and sprints towards them with a short sword and 3 daggers in his hand.

The Goblins tries to intercept his attack, but the fragrance was so strong that it affected their movement. Xiao makes short work of them as he mercilessly sliced through three of them in one dash.

Without a pause, Xiao immediately shifts to his next target. Daggers flying out, followed by a lethal cut to the throat to effectively neutralize the target.

Though the Goblins were in numbers, they prove no challenge to Xiao as their movement were slow and sluggish. Even when some managed to endure the smell and launch a berserk-like attack, Xiao's Gamer Eyes managed to counter it and quickly put them down.

Using everything at his disposal, Xiao dances the field with a sword, daggers and bombs, causing destruction and creating Goblins corpses everywhere.

The Goblins retaliate against their invader with their life. Still, it was not enough as they quickly got eliminated before they can even unleash anything at all.

After some time has passed, the number of Goblins has dramatically reduced. There were still around 30 left standing. They position themselves together and ready to launch a team assault on Xiao.

The scent of the blood from the Goblins corpses gradually filling the area, which significantly covers up the fragrance smell.

Without the effect of the Goblin Bane, the Goblins slowly regain their combat capability and lets out a hysteria laugh.

The Goblins were both agitated and excited about the pain they are about to make Xiao feel once the effect has completely worn off.

Facing off with giggling demon spawns in front of him, Xiao did not retreat nor attempt an attack. He just stands on his ground while the red visor from his mask was staring at the Goblins.

The Goblins has no idea what Xiao thinks as the mask he was wearing has completely blocked his expression.

By the sound of a single water droplet hitting the ground, the Goblins launches an all attack towards Xiao as they charge in full speed like psychos.

As if Xiao was waiting for the timing all along, he fluidly took out 5 balls of grenade and throw them to the ground as hard as he can, detonating the grenade immediately.

Rather than a blast of fire explosion, it was a blast of smokescreen. The smokescreen was so thick in brown colour that it instantly covered the area, blocking everyone's view.

It was only a few seconds before the smokescreen disperses and disappear, revealing Xiao, standing unharmed and unaffected by the grenade.

On the other hand, all the Goblins were on the ground, screaming and twitching in pain while holding their nose. Nose mucus and tears were splashing out from their face as they struggle to even stand.

The smell was so bad that some Goblins even fainted after screeching out their lung.

It was another one of Xiao's creation, an active version of the Goblin Bane-the Goblin Bane Grenade. Basically, a grenade that detonates the Goblin Bane in a blast.

Compare to the normal Goblin Bane, it may lose its effect in just a few minutes. Still, the Goblins who come in contact with the blast and the smokescreen will have their smell sense fried, literally killing them with the smell.

"You guys thought that the odds have changed, now look at all you, crawling to the ground and cry like a baby."

Xiao gave out his comments while playfully counts the number of Goblins on the ground with a singing tone.

After finish counting, Xiao flips out his crossbow and prepare the number of bolts even with the numbers of the Goblins.

"Now then, enjoy your defeat."

Sensing their doom, the Goblins swing their weapon around on the ground like a mad man. It did not bother Xiao as he took his time to take aim and fire his crossbow, sending a bolt of arrow punching into Goblin's head who was in front of him.

From one of the Goblin's perspective, it saw the invader sent out bolts after bolts of arrows to its brethren, some to heart while some straight to the head, and all of them stop screaming after that.

As everyone was helplessly waiting for their turn to get pincushion, this Goblin tries its darndest to crawl away from here, to crawl away from the devil that comes out of nowhere.

Though its mucus and tears were flooding its face, plus the smell was so awful that it almost kills it, this Goblin still wishes to live.

This Goblin hasn't got its fill for violence and p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e for indulging in the breeding stock. This small body of it was pack with d.e.s.i.r.es to be fulfilled.

But all of it ends as soon as this Goblin turns around and sees the tip of an arrow.
