Beast God

Chapter 69 - Blood Sacrifice

The bright light slowly faded and Ben and his generals saw a group soldiers surrounding them with their weapons pointing at them.

"Warm welcome." Colton snorted, eyeing up the soldiers and cracking his knuckles.

"I must agree." Shenelle agreed, glaring at the soldiers.

Sick of the standoff, Ben took a step forward, "Where's you leader? We were invited to help you with the zombies." his voice was sharp and cold, causing the soldiers to subconsciously take a step back.

A middle age man stepped forward with greying dark hair wearing a black leather armour, his piercing blue eyes gave a cold and ruthless feel.

"I'm am Sergei, welcome to my city." he said slowly, looking over Ben and the others, his eyes narrowed as he looked at Shenelle and Lilith. "This is all you brought?"

Ben met his eyes and said, "This is all I need."

A pressure slowly surrounded Ben, testing his strength. A cold smile spread across Ben's face as the pressure grew stronger. Sergei felt anger as he saw Ben's smile and increased the pressure, trying to make Ben submit.

Colton and the other generals had a mocking smile on their face as they felt the pressure Sergei was putting on Ben.

"Are you done yet?"

Sergei heard Ben and a vicious look appeared on his face. A red aura started to surround Sergei as he activated a skill. The aura condensed into a read spear and was sent flying towards Ben at high speeds.

"I've had enough." Ben was angry at this point. Waving his hand, black lightning met the red spear in mid air. The spear instantly exploded into red liquid that splattered on the ground, the lightning continued through and slammed into Sergei causing him to take 3 step back.

The soldiers all took a step closer, ready to attack immediately. Shenelle gently touched the ground with her hand and the ground gently started to rumble. Suddenly, thousands of vines sprouted from the ground and started to restrain the soldiers, lifting them in the air while their weapons fell to the ground.

Colton stepped forward and eagerly rubbed his hands together, "Well looks like someone in this damn city is worth something."

He dashed towards the axe man and sent a powerful punch towards him. Axe man was shocked by the speed that Colton displayed and barely raised his axe in time to block the punch, sending him flying backwards. Lance took a stance against saber man and slammed his greatsword against his shield. Seeing the other generals not partaking in the battle, saber man dashed towards Lance and let out a quick slash at Lance.

Lance easily lifted his shield and deflected the attack away while stabbing his greatsword at saber man. The four of them fought while Shenelle subdued majority of the soldiers. Ben and Sergei hadn't moved since the last attack and stared at each other. Seeing his soldiers being taken down by Shenelle his face got darker and darker.

"Stupidity and arrogance. No wonder your city needed help. Don't worry though, I will still help your city but you won't be alive to see it." Ben mocked as he watched his generals subdue Sergei's troops. Ben took a step and shot towards Sergei like a cannon. His two swords appeared in his hands as the distance between the two of them. The red liquid appeared behind Sergei and created a shield between them. Ben slammed in the red shield and was unable to get through.

'It's blood!' Ben realized as he took a step back and slashed the blood shield with his swords.

The swords cut through but the blood quickly reformed filling the whole that the swords left.

"Interesting." Ben muttered with a slight smile. He the infused his balde with lightning and slashed again, causing the blood shield to smash open. To his surprise the blood quickly reformed into multiple arrows that surrounded him and shot at him.

Covering himself in black scales, Ben deflected what he could with his swords while 3 arrows broke through and struck his scales, causing them to break. A little blood trickled from the broken scales, causing Sergei to smile viscously.

"It is over, you bleed like all them."

"Trying to heal? Don't bother, I have full control of your blood and won't allow it to clot." Sergei said, enjoying watching Ben struggle.

Ben frowned and looked down at his small wound that continued to bleed profusely. After a few seconds in healed, stopping the bleeding and his blood from trembling.

"How!?"

Ben wasn't going to explain how he used Natural Energy to heal his wounds and just gave a cold smile. "So you control blood? That's an interesting skill but it seems you need a wound to affect me."

Sergei had a evil look on his face and spat venomously at Ben, "So what? I will just make you bleed even more."

The blood started to form different weapons around Ben, swords, spears, glaives, you name it. They all pointed at Ben threatenly.

Ben didn't panic and stared at Sergei unflinching. "You know what happens to blood when it meets fire?" he asked as black flames covered his hands.

Before Sergei could reply, Ben sent flames out around him engulfing the blood weapons, causing them to vaporize and disappear. Not wasting time, Ben attacked Sergei with his swords. Sergei summoned more blood but was still being pushed back, unable to counter. Snarling, Sergei tried to run away but was blocked by James who was smiling.

"Fine! Let us both die!" he yelled, taking out a small knife and cutting his palm. Blood flowed out and surrounded Sergei, he visibly paled and started shaking but the blood around him turned a dark shade of red and seemed to become denser.

The blood turned into a million tiny shards that all pointed at Ben and shot at him with extreme speed.

Ben's brows knitted together as he saw the shards shot at him, sensing danger from each of them. He quickly summoned his wings and surrounded himself in a ball of lightning. The blood shards collided into his lightning creating a loud explosion.

The tied up soldiers and generals stared and waiting for the dust to settle. Sergei gave a final smirk before he collapsed, he used all his blood for his final attack and died.

The dust finally settled and Ben was standing there, most of his scales shattered and bleeding. He had multiple holes in his armour and was breathing heavily.

"You look rough there boss." James laughed at Ben's situation.

"Shut up." Ben hardly got out between breaths.

The soldiers all looked at Ben in horror as he survived that final attack.
