Because He Is Her 'First Love'....

Chapter 95 - What's Bothering Him?

Ray entered the living room of his house, when a maid came to him and offered a glass of juice to him.

"Thank you…" He took the glass and gave her the backpack. She bowed and stepped away.

Ray found his mother sitting on the big couch, placed in the huge living room of theirs, reading a magazine.

Taking a sip of the juice, he went towards her. "Good Evening mother…" He said.

"Oh! You're home!" His mother smiled at him.

" Mija….Mija…." And then she started calling the name of the head house maid, also the oldest one among all the maids.

Mrs. Mija came running out from the kitchen. "Yes madam?" She asked bowing.

"Ray is home. Go and make something for him." Ray's mother ordered.

"Yes madam. Everything is ready. I'll bring everything out right away." And she hurriedly went in.

"Huhhhh…." Throwing his body on the couch, Ray let out a huge sigh.

"What happened son? You look tired today…" Mother asked concerned.

"….Nothing mother." Ray's tired voice spoke. "….It's just that….Lots of things are going on in the school these days….So I'm just….exhausted…."

"But your Football practice is off these days as the exams are next week, right?"

"Yeah. But I'm not physically tired…I just....I have a lot in my plate right now…..and just thinking about all this makes me exhausted….I don't know how I'm going to do all this…."

As Ray was talking, Mrs. Mija came out from the kitchen with a tray in her hands and then she started plating everything on the coffee table.

"What are you talking about Ray? Is there any problem at school? Should I talk with the principal?"

"What? No mother!

There is no need to talk with the Principal.

Everything is fine. So just relax." Ray said as he sat straight and picked up a sand-witch from the plate.

"You sure?" She asked again.

"Yes mother."

"Okay then." His mother said and looked at Mija.

Both the ladies gave each other a nod and then Ray's mother spoke up,

"There is something I need to tell you son…"

Ray stopped eating right away and looked at his mother and then at Mrs. Mija.

He instantly got what his mother was going to tell him.

"Father is coming, right?" He said as all the expressions had already left his face.

"Y~es…." His mother said.

"When?"

"He'll be here by tomorrow midnight…."

"Tomorrow? As expected….He would never tell at least 3-4 days before hands…"

Ray's mother and Mrs. Mija again exchanged concerned glances.

"So?" Ray said as he finished his sandwich. "For how many days? 4? 5 at maximum?" He asked as he went to take another sandwich.

"….Umm….Two weeks…." His mother answered in lower voice.

Ray's hand stopped in the middle and he looked at his mother. She just nodded.

"Two weeks? Two weeks???" Ray stood up in shock.

"….."

"He has never come to Korea for these many days…What does he want now?" Ray's face was turned from blank to frustrated.

"….I don't know….Maybe he just wants to spend some time with you…." Mother tried to explain.

"Spend some time with me?? For what??"

"Master….Master Ray…" Mrs. Mija said, "Please calm down…."

"How can I calm down Mrs. Mija…Whenever he comes here, those 5 days seem like 5 years to me. And now he is coming for 2 weeks?"

"…."

"Coming to spend some time with me? More like to have a control over my life!!!" Ray said walking to and fro in the room.

"Ray!" Mother said with a scolding tone. "He is your father! You are not allowed to say such things about him!"

Hearing mother's voice, Ray looked down in disappointment.

"I know he is strict and likes the things in his ways. But that doesn't mean you should talk about him like this. He comes home after months! For you! So speak with some respect!"

"…For me?.....Oh really?.....Or just because I'm the only heir he has. If he would have had a child from his second wife, he would have already forgotten about us!" And saying that, Ray kicked the chair hard.

"RAY!!!" His mother yelled as her eyes were turned red and filled with tears.

"You'll never understand how I feel…." Ray said and then with long and angry steps he went towards his room.

"Ray!....RAY!!!" His mother called but he didn't stop.

As he disappeared before her eyes, the tears streamed down her cheeks.

Mrs. Mija quickly went near her and offered her a glass of water.

Wiping the tears with the handkerchief, Ray's mother took the glass in her hands and took a sip of water.

"Did you hear that Mija?...*sniff...He said….That I….I'll never understand how he feels…..*sniff….."

Without saying a word, Mrs. Mija just kept rubbing her back.

"…Does he know how I feel? Both of them are just the same. They only think about themselves.

Like father, like son!

Every time he's back here….I just get pissed in between these two….What should I do Mija?....What can I do?...."

"Here you go Charlie!" Said Mia, as she put the food in Charlie's bowl. "Eat up!"

Wagging his tail and jumping twice, Charlie dug up in the food.

"Tasty, right?" Mia said as she was watching him eat.

"Mia?" Her mother called.

"Ye~ah mom…" Mia ran towards the kitchen. "What is it?"

"Will you give Jun a call?" Mother asked.

"Why? Where is he?"

"I sent him to get some salt from the corner shop. It's been more than 15 minutes. He isn't back yet…" Mother said.

"Really? Wait. I'll call him." And Mia ran towards the living room to get her phone.

There was lying Jina as always.

"Where is my phone?" Mia asked.

"I don't know…" Jina said carelessly as she changed the channels on the T.V.

"Oh come on….At least move to a side a little…." Mia said as she moved Jina's legs and started searching for her phone.

"It's not here!" Jina said.

"But I put it here a while ago…" Mia said as she looked down the couch and the center table.

"Hey, sis…." Jina said.

"What?" Mia's voice was a little frustrated.

"Is there any problem between you two? I mean you and Jun oppa?"

"Huh?" Mia stopped what she was doing and looked at her sister. "What do you mean?"

"I don't know….I mean, it's been 2 days since you guys are coming home separately…Is there any problem?"

"…..Yeah…." Mia said thinking, "I mean, No. There is no problem. At least not from my side. But I don't know about him….I thought maybe he's coming home early for studies, because the finals are next week, you know?"

"Really? Do you really think that he comes home early for "Studies"?" Jina asked raising an eye brow.

"…..Umm…..He is not that kind of a guy though…." Mia said.

"Don't you feel all this different? You came home alone sis!" Jina said.

"Yeah…I mean….I don't know….there was just a lot going on in my head that I…"

"That you forgot about him!" Jina said with cold expressions.

"What? No! I didn't forget about him….It's just that…."

"Then? What is the reason you are coming separately?

I think, there is something that's bothering him. He's been so….quiet lately, don't you think so?"

Mia thought for a second, "….Yeah. You are right. Now that I think, he's been quiet…."

"So don't you wanna know what's bothering him?" Jina said.

"…I….I wanna know….

Wait….Where is my phone? I'll call him and as soon as he gets home, I'll talk to him…."

"You are waiting for all this? Why don't you just go out and find him? He's gone to the corner store only. Maybe you'll find him on the way…." Jina said.

"….You really think so? Okay.

But my phone?" Mia asked.

"Don't worry. I'll find your phone for you. Now hurry up and go!" Jina said sitting up.

"Oh! Okay!" Mia said and hurriedly ran towards the door.

"Mom! I'll go and find Jun!" She yelled from the door and without stopping for a second she ran out.

Hearing her voice, Mia's mother came out from the kitchen and stood in the living room's door. Wiping her hands to the apron, she asked, "Why didn't she just call him?" Mother asked.

"Who knows?" Jina said as she again tossed herself on the couch.

Then taking out Mia's phone from under the cushions, her lips got curved up in a mischievous smile.

"Who knows…?" She whispered to herself.
