Become The Duke's Wife Or Die

Chapter 57 - Special Nickname

Someone came out as if to attack in the night, causing Gerald to widen in surprise especially when he felt a hip drop on his lap, sinking and protruding, wanting to get closer to him.  His teeth gritted as his hand tried to reach for his dagger but failed because the stranger stopped him.

Then a voice followed, "It's me."  In a muffled whisper.

He frowned, challenging the dimness of the room by widening his pupils as much as he could, widening his eyes again when he saw a stranger intruding into his temporary residence.  She was Wiggie, who was wearing her dark robe.

"You…" He couldn't keep up with what he was saying, too impressed or perhaps surprised.  "How did you know I was here?"

Weggie pulled off the hood of her robes, revealing her beautiful curls.  Her brown skin seemed to glow when exposed to the moonlight that slipped through the wooden walls.  "You've been underestimating me this whole time," she said with a snort.  Her wide eyes lit up in the gloom.  "I can know more things than you think."

"But..." Gerald was silent when she suddenly kissed his lips, an attack from a woman who has now become his lover.  Damn, he even forgot that fact!

"Do you think you can run from me?"  asked Weggie, wrapping her arms around his fat neck.  Her skirt fell and touched her dry straws.  "You made a pact with me when we tried to save Lyra.  Now we are lovers."

Gerald's back was pinned against the wooden wall, struggling to move.  Now he was dragging his hips to settle into a sitting position, carrying Weggie's body which was still on his lap.  "Is that why you came here?"

Weggie shook her head.  "Of course not.  But that's one of my reasons," she snorted, annoyance clearly showing on her face.  "You disappeared after that night when you should have come back and visited me."

He rubbed his forehead, looking tired.  "I have a lot of work.  You know I have to collect a lot of money to redeem Tania right?  Time is ticking, and Lyra can't help anything."

"You scolded me?"  She pursed her lips, like a sulking little girl.

"Oh my," he exclaimed, "of course not!  I just wanted to explain why I couldn't visit you."

"But you don't have any work today," she commented, sounding disapproving.  "And you went to the tavern to spend time there instead of going to see me."

Once again he massaged his forehead, closing his eyes tightly.  "I need some entertainment too."  His voice sounded resigned.

"You have me!"  said Weggie.  "You haven't even kissed me yet."

"Did you forget you live with Mr. Pinn?"

"Did you forget that you can come in whenever you want because you know when he's going to sleep?"  she reproached.  "You can sneak around as usual."

Gerald glared, blinking rapidly.

Weggie squeaked.  "Why?  Are you surprised that I found out about that?"  Extending her face, squeezed him back.  "I told you that I know a lot more than you think.  I also know the latest news about Lyra."

"Really?"  His eyes sparkled, but also looked worried at the same time.  Lately, he was always restless because he didn't know the latest news from Lyra.  Of all the people he knew, not a single one of them could give him any information, even after he offered a high price for it.  So he thought not because these people wanted more money, but because they didn't know.

Usually, the prisoners who entered Wereal would immediately spread their identities throughout the city.  But different from Lyra.  Gerald's fears grew even more after hearing of various cases of massacres that befell women in several places he visited.  He was worried that something similar would happen to Lyra, someone who was like his real sibling.

"How is she?"  asked Gerald hastily, gripping Weggie's arms.  "Is she okay at Wereal? Is she treated well?  Will she be executed?  What do you know?"

Narrowing her eyes, Weggie looked away.  "If you want to know then you must treat me as a lover from today onwards.  You should visit me regularly!"

"Fine, I'll do it."

"You even agreed to it without any determination.  You just want to make me want to do it." She pulled her hands together, then folded them in front of her chest, looking away again.

"Really, I will," said Gerald more reassuringly.  "Now tell me what you know!"  he asked.

Weggie turned, cupping his face with both hands.  "Before I answer that we have to do a few things like lovers."  Her breath hit his face, spreading a hot aura restrained from her folds.  "I also want to know why you chose to live in an unused cage like this rather than anywhere else?  Which is more suitable for you to live in?"

Taking a deep breath, Gerald complied with Weggie's wish.  He explained why he chose to live in an old, unused cage.  He also explained the things she wanted to know, as well as how he made money fast.  Everything she wanted to know he had said, everything, without leaving a single fact behind.

"Now tell me what you know!"  he asked again, looking very hopeful.

Weggie looked at him with a strange look, tormented and miserable at the same time.  She wants to help him immediately pay off the compensation to redeem Tania, but on the other hand, she has no money. She was just a slave, whose work would never even make money.  If only she could take the inheritance from her father back.

"I'll give you a hint, and will tell you in more detail after we spend some time together.  You should also start giving me special nicknames, just like the other couples."

Oh no!  This was beyond Gerald's ability.  He wasn't the typical romantic guy, who had never even really flirted with a woman.  His relationship with his ex-lover flows like calm water, without turmoil and also without bubbling feelings.  Maybe because in the past he was abandoned by his biological mother, so he had to nurse his sick father to death.  Therefore it is difficult to love a woman with all his heart, he is too afraid to be disappointed.

"I prefer to call someone by her name," Gerald said honestly.  "I will call your name.  Isn't that great?"

Weggie rolled over, stomping her feet repeatedly on the ground.  "I want you to call me by a special nickname!"  she asked, spoiled.  "It's not fair because I have prepared a special name for you."

Gerald was speechless, much to Weggie's dismay.

"Why are you silent?  You should have asked what special name I had prepared for you.  You don't want to be in a relationship with me!  You broke your promise!  Never mind, I'm going home now!  Just look for information about Lyra yourself!"  Weggie rose from Gerald's lap in annoyance, towards the gap where she had barged in, annoyed with her lover.

Her hands clenched into fists, her heart ached when she knew Gerald didn't chase her or even beg her to come back.  Her eyes were watery, almost crying.

Her fingertips were almost touching the loose wooden plank, her access to the exit when suddenly a pair of chubby hands grabbed her and made her fall into a warm embrace.  That's when her tears spilled, between her shaken shoulders.

"I'm sorry," Gerald whispered, stroking her hair.  "I'm just not used to this type of relationship," he continued.  "What special name have you prepared for me?"

Weggie didn't answer right away and instead pushed Gerald away in annoyance.  "Just forget it!"  Then she turned to leave again, until then her body was lifted in the air, swinging and hitting the wooden wall gently, crushed by Gerald's massive body.  Screamed, when she felt his lips eating her greedily, urging her to give him access to slide the tongue.

When she separated her mouth, he immediately stuffed his tongue to tear apart her entire cavity, making her folds pinch spontaneously, making her legs around his hips, while his hands began to feel around her chest.
