Ken looked over towards the man, throwing him a nod. He hadn’t expected someone to call out to him like that, but was glad someone had the courage to assist a cripple.

"Too many people hold on to such an old mentality, dropping them from progressing." The man nodded back to Ken, his lips curling into a smirk.

"You speak true wisdom, sir. I am Ken, and what is the name of this warrior?" Ken was hoping to create a closer tie with the man, since he had a similar mind.

"Lan Fangbone. I come from the far south, a matter which offends people I've never met before." His eyes threw a glance towards a few of the nobles, and he smirked wider.

"There is much philosophy in your statements, but let's keep that for another time." The Town Lord chuckled, trying to ease everyone. "Is there anyone wishing to bring forth more entertainment?"

"This Lan Fangbone is happy to spar with another to provide entertainment for the fine people here." He clasped his hands together and bowed to the Town Lord.

"Then allow me to play with you," said a man from the nobles. He was around the same age as Lan Fangbone, wearing fine clothing, and had a sword at his side. “First Elder Redwind greets you,” he said, quite politely.

"I greet you, First Elder Redwind. Let’s exchange pointers.” Lan held out his hand and a sabre appeared in his hand, and he took a stance in his martial art.

First Elder Redwind drew his own sword and waited, taking an elegant stance. He was so casual as well, not taking Lan Fangbone seriously at all.

The pair of them sized one another up, but it was obvious who the victor would be without any of them swinging their blade once.

Lan showed no mercy as he dashed in, swinging his sabre wildly. His technique must have been a beastly technique, because his blade was savage, ki flying out wildly.

First Elder Redwind casually dealt with the technique, his grace and poise easily brushing the other blade aside, no matter how savage Fangbone slashed at him. The sound of their blade meeting together filled the air, like music.

The two continued to fight, with Lan revealing his greater sword technique, the Burrowing Beast Blade. He leapt up into the air and turned so he was upside down. He spun rapidly, like a drill, towards the First Elder.

"Redsword, Redwind." The First Elder covered his sword in ki and then lifted a leg, like a crane lifting up their knee. He pointed the sword up at the blade which was falling towards him, and when the blades met, an explosion of ki shook the estate.

A Martial Master prepared to intervene if it continued, but Lan dropped down, bloody and bruised. His sword had been destroyed in the exchange, though Redwind's sword was complete unscathed.

"A great show," the Town Lord said, clapping his hands, causing everyone else to join in.

"Yes, much better than the last." Bluewind smirked. "First Elder Redwind, your technique was thoroughly impressive. The southerner had no chance.”

Lan just grinned as he limped back to his seat. What else could he do? That was just the life of a wandering cultivator. He could only hope he had impressed a minor noble, who could invite him to become a Guest Elder, or a guard.

Redwind smiled. "Isn't it a great technique because it is the sister technique to your great family's technique?" The First Elder chuckled.

"Long ago our families were one, but now the various Wind families scatter across the land."

"Indeed. The noble blood within our veins cannot be disputed." Redwind smiled and brushed his beard. Obviously he was putting down the others nearby, including Ken who hadn't revealed his second name.

"Let's continue the party!" The Town Lord laughed as the music continued to play, calming everyone around after the spar.

"Allow me another chance to show off," Ken said.

"Hah! What does the little Alchemist want to do now?" Bluewind asked, smirking.

"Merely to give the Young Miss a good show. Some people were disappointed in the last show, so I hope they'll be more convinced after seeing the next show."

The Town Lord nodded, giving the young man a second chance, partly because he would most likely attain an item through it.

"I will of course present a pill to the Town Lord, since I'll be using his furnace and ingredients." He listed out a few ingredients to make a blood clotting pill.

The Town Lord brought them over and Ken began to refine the pill. His orange fire rushed around, snaking around like a hungry dragon. He casually moved around his finger, and then introduced his second finger into the mix as the fire spread into two.

The fire dragons went into the cauldron through both entrances and fused the ingredients together. Ken then formed a fist as he condensed the ingredients into a pill. No, not just a pill. Two pills shot out.

He caught both pills as the others watched, in shock. Mouths were gaping as they saw the two pills.

"Wait! Is that?"

"Two pills! He can create two pills!"

"Amazing! What talent!"

The other Lords and guests were now paying attention. Ken tossed one of the pills towards the Town Lord. "As promised." Then he tossed the other to Lan. "Here, for your wounds. You had put on a good show."

Lan took the pill and stared down at it. "This! It's a middle grade earth pill! How could I accept?" He looked up to Ken, who had casually thrown an item which would have taken the average person months to save for.

"What? A middle grade earth pill?" Bluewind was flabbergasted. "How did he manage to make a middle grade earth pill whilst simultaneously making another pill? The other pill must be of trash quality. How dare you give the Town Lord a trash pill!"

"Oh? Town Lord, would you like to tell everyone the quality of the pill."

He revealed the pill to everyone.

"A middle grade earth pill!"

"Amazing!"

"How can he do that?"

"This guy's a genius!"

Ken smiled. "It seems Bluewind has too much noble blood in his head, blocking his brain and his eyes.”

"You! You dare ridicule me, you damn cripple?"

"I do dare!" Ken exclaimed. "You believe my tolerance is so high that I'll allow you to belittle me? Are you my mother? You should be glad that this is the Town Lord's party, or I would have spanked you in front of everyone!"

[[Go ahead, mortal! Teach that boar a lesson!]]

"You dare!" Bluewind grew red in the face. "Try spanking me and I will remove your arm!"

"Hah! I only need one arm to refine pills anyway, but how will you sit without a bottom? Since you are behaving like a boar, I will say this now in front of everyone, and the Commerce Head. I will bar the Bluewind family from purchasing any pills that I have created, and I will not take any of their requests."

"Hah! Who would want to buy your pills? Do you believe you're the only Alchemist around? There's another great Alchemist within the city, one who far surpasses your skills."

Another Alchemist? Ken paused for a moment and then smirked. "Are you speaking about the Alchemist who has provided the commerce pavilion a number of high grade earth pills?"

"The very same! We of the Bluewind family will offer them great benefits."

"Oh yes? Better than all the families present?"

"Of course. Having such a great Alchemist would be a boon, so it's only right that we offer them a high reward."

"I don't believe that the Redwind family would offer any less, nor the Firewind family. Though from what I've seen, at least the Town Lord has an amiable personality. I'm sure the Town Lord could offer less and still take away the Alchemist."

"No wonder you only dabble in alchemy. Everyone knows that true Alchemists have great pride in their work and expect to be paid well for it. It's just a simple matter of opening our vaults and any alchemist would gladly join us."

"Any Alchemist? Even the great Alchemist who made those pills?"

"That's a simple matter."

"Interesting," Ken said, his smirk growing wider.
