Between The Worlds

"I suck at everything, huh..."

Raphel closed his eyes as he enjoyed the bed after the stressful dungeon. However, his mind wasn't in enjoyment state. In the brutal jungle, he had learnt that he is really weak and if not the special body of snakeman, then he would've been dead already.

'Or I would've experienced more pain...'

Raphel stood up from his bed, then immediately lowered himself on the floor. Then, he began doing push ups...

One... five... ten...

"Blurgh..."

Raphel fell. Ten push ups was his limit and his body already felt sore. Laying on the floor with sweat all over his body, Raphel mind was full of wild thoughts.

In his whole life on Earth, has he ever needed to train? Living comfortably, he has spent most of his time either with his friends or alone in home. There truly wasn't a need for him to get stronger... like who would annoy a group of friends? There were easier targets after all...

Is strength needed to do housework? Not really, thus, Raphel already began creating a lot of excuses... Nevertheless, he stood up and went to wash up. Eating the breakfast quietly which was quite unusual, Raphel left the home after the feast surprising his mother.

"I wonder what had happened?"

Although Raphel wore his school uniform, today, he didn't plan to go to school. Roaming randomly throughout the town, Raphel was thinking about his future seriously for the first time. In the end, the conclusion was yet disappointing...

"Do I need strength for my normal life?"

As he once again created another excuse, Raphel found out that he had arrived in front of dojo. The shouts of grown up man training loudly awakened him from his disappointing train of thoughts. As he peeked through the window...

"Brat, why arent you in school?"

The strong, grown up voice asked him from behind. Aa Raphel turned around with slight shiver...

"HYAAAAA!"

He fell on his b.u.t.t immediately as his body began to shiver incessantly. After all the man who had robust body was like...

"B-bear!"

"What did you say?!"

The man was like bear indeed. He was tall and his hair was short yet wild. As he heard Raphel's voice his already quite stern face twisted even more as he expressed his anger. His posture was truly intimidating as even simple clothes couldn't hide those thick muscles!

"Brat, looks like you are skipping school and have nothing to do, hmm?"

"N-no really. I just have lessons later than usual!"

"Yeah, yeah."

The man didn't care as he grabbed the collar of Raphel's school uniform. Dragging him into the dojo....

"I will discipline you in place of your parents!"

"No! No need! Really, haha!"

Raphel tried his best to make the man to let him go yet the human bear was truly persistent as he dragged him into changing room. Here, he measured Raphel with eye and then brought him training clothes...

As for Raphel, he obviously didn't plan to train with such man. Looking around the changing room, he was trying to look for a way to escape!

"The window is too small... tsk! Also lockers are empty! Nothing useful!"

There was no way for Raphel to escape this sudden and stupid situation! But he really couldn't help but mutter 'Bear' as he saw the man... he truly had similar aura. As Raphel peeked through door...

"Hmpf!"

The man had already white training robes on himself and was releasing a fists with made the air to tremble! And Raphel who saw that also began trembling...

"There is also magic on Earth?!"

He couldn't help, but think like that. The man was trully strong or rather, skilled. His attacks looked both strong and dominating giving yet another pressure. Seeing Raphel, the man shouted...

"Come here, brat!"

"M-mister! How about I give you money and we just part ways?!"

The a.d.u.l.t disciples who heard Raphel's words immediately began laughing loudly holding their stomachs. The human bear had dumbfounded look, but then began also laughing. Soon, he spoke words that struck Raphel's heart.

"Is that your money? Or money that your parents had worked hard for? ...Come brat!"

"!"

Raphel quickly clothed himself with training robes and left the changing room. After those words, he truly couldn't simply leave this place. As he entered the arena made from mats...

"Ahaha! Look how he is shivering!"

"Ehhh~~? But it's not that cold!"

"Hey, hey! Turn on the heater!"

""Ahahah!""

A.d.u.l.t men were laughing at him! But how could they not as Raphel was shivering as if he was in cold lake. Then, the young man took the posture similar to those men from movies as he raised his hands. It was as if he truly thought he properly had postured himself...

'I should be able to properly block his attacks!'

That's what he believed yet the reality once again said otherwise. The human bear also took the posture but slightly different than Raphel. His one leg was little to the front and his hands also were put into different yet similar posture.

Then, he bent his fingers as if he wanted to make a claw out of his palms as he put them straight.

"Watch closely, brat."

As human bear spoke, he suddenly released a palm strike which was both too fast and strong going through Raphel defensive posture as he got sent flying.

"Blurgh!"

"Oi! Master... that was too harsh!"

"Shut up!"

Everyone looked at the Raphel who was laying on the floor motionlessly. Of course it meant one thing...

Raphel fainted.
