Between The Worlds

Raphel approached his comrades from the side, his claw looking deadly. Such claw made Raphel's arm to look bigger and more domineering. As one of his eyes shone with golden light, it told him one thing just like his instinct...

'They are trash.'

Raphel didn't like it, like he suddenly became too strong. He knew he is coward. He knew he is scared of pain. Nevertheless, he had to agree and take them down... Inwardly, he was also thanking for energy core for its help...

Little did he know, that his energy core was beaming with happiness!

Approaching Shi who had weak look, Raphel patted her head and stroked it showing affection in his eyes which obviously shocked the elf beauty. The blush appeared on her cheeks and she quickly closed her eyes as she felt her cheeks burning...

'What is going on?!'

"Who the f.u.c.k are you?"

"I am Raphel. The beast tamer."

"Pfff, look at this arm. You may look strong, but you are animal. Come on, throw this venom at us."

The man sneered as he already realized Raphel doesn't have any more venom liquids. However...

[You have awakened Venon Needles.]

"What's wrong? Come on, attack us!"

Everyone joined their leader and began shouting and laughing at Raphel who stood next to Shi with huge blood stain on his leather armor. He himself was panting, but it wasn't because of the exhaustion or anything like that...

'I have killed already...'

The feeling of killing just hit him as the situation calmed down. Nevertheless, Raphel closed his eyes... and quickly enough waved his claw... The nails, long purple nails shone a little and released venom needles that were too thin to see!

""Blurgh! Aarrghhh~~""

But even though thin, only two man fell as needles erased their brains... Breaking through the skull was too easy for this venom and even Raphel himself got scared a little.

[No poison can kill you.]

Gulp! Gulping Raphel bent his body and began charging at the leader who had steel armor and long sword already covered in blood, Shi's blood!

"Aaaaaaa!"

The squeal, the squeal of little girl reverberated through out the forest... stupefying his enemies and even Biruan. Only Shi had look of ecstasy as she knew Raphel too well! The coward now, was going bravely forward...because of her! She just felt too good...

Raphel quickly approached the leader and threw his punch!

"Brat! Don't get too ahead of yourself!"

The leader, as one expected was quite strong indeed. He quickly came back from his confusion and released a slash with his sword vibrating meaning he was releasing 'magic'. As both weapons connected...

Clang!

It was akin to attack armor. The claw of Raphel didn't bulge, he just kept his claw raised high while the man got confused as his eyes went wide. He couldn't believe, that scales of some lizardman were harder than Yellow Rank Sword!

But Raphel also didn't stay idly, albeit, surprised. His instincts kicked in and he spread his fingers, then grabbed the sword as if toy. No pain... nothing... It was as if nothing was in his hand! Clenching his hand, Raphel thoroughly shattered the sword causing everyone to gasp.

Yellow Rank Sword definitely is expensive in Huntai City. If Raphel knew that, then he would cry already... Looking at shattered bits, the man lost all his strength and fell to his knees... For this sword alone, he had killed, he had betrayed...

'Only to have it shattered... by brat? Who squeals like little girl?'

World isn't fair...

Raphel who saw the man wanted to change the targets, but angry voice of Shi rang out in his ear.

"Kill him! You must kill him, Raphel!"

The snakeman body shivered, killing by his own... not venom... It was definitely scary and fear overwhelmed Raphel as he stood frozen...

"He had hurted me!"

Yet the voice of Shi was as if sun, melting his fear and giving the strength to move forward. Not only she hadn't left him when everyone laughed at him, she also caught him when he was about to fall from exhaustion...

Raphel grabbed the head of the leader as if controlled by someone. After all, it was just simple grab, Raphel didn't know what to do next...

'Should I clench it, or I should've punched him?'

But, the grab was enough as it was too strong. The venom nails dug through the skull and took care of the rest... The man fell and so his members as they got scared of Raphel...

"We-we will give you everything, let us go!"

"Please, spare us, please!"

Raphel felt like that's how it should be... Those men were similar to him, looking basically the same way he had when he begged the small man. However, Shi wasn't as nice...

"Kill them! Do we need their permission?! Just kill them and take their equipment by yourself!"

The elf beauty who was supposed to be wounded, now, had a little too much strength as she could shout like that...
