Between The Worlds

Third floor of this dungeon was like normal forest, but rather darker. Actually, most of those floors are like other worlds, having its own nature and system. Goburabu that were living here had quite nice life.

If not warriors whose sole purpose of coming here was to hunt them and find valuable treasures.

However, right now, they were fighting with big snake around 3m length, its dark blue scales blending perfectly into dark scenery of this forest...

'No, it's she!'

Yeah, this snake is woman, futhermore, special woman as even 'system' that helps Raphel in this world can not read her name! One of her special features was that she could eat the cores of monsters like Raphel!

'If young bear could eat as well...'

Still, it was not time to think about others. Raphel once again looked at his tail. The key to getting stronger was purify bloodline and get more familiar with snake body.

Imagining that the tail is two legs put together, Raphel suprisingly got hold of this mysterious part of body! Although staggeringly, Raphel moved it in one place for a while, then did his best to stand up...

"Leave some for me! No, wait! Let one go to me, yeah!"

That's right, first fight with new weapon should be one versus one as Raphel still has problems standing on his tail. Goburabu on his wolf rushed towards him as golden eyed snake elegantly turned to the side.

This snake was truly graceful in its movement! Completely opposite to Raphel.

'This is only initial form. If I purify my blood, I will have legs and tails in one form.'

He hoped, he truly hoped that this is how his new form will turn out!

Pointing his tip of the tail at galloping wolf, Raphel aimed to hinder its fast movement. Speed of his tail wasn't that fast compared to the time where it worked by instinct alone, but it was enough in this floor.

The tail penetrated through the right leg of wolfs causing it to fall. However, during the fall, the wolf nimbly dug its sharp teeth into his flesh!

'It doesn't hurt! Haha!'

Stupid snakeman was happy inside, but it's body trembled as if in anger. With wolf on its tip, Raphel sent the wolf with tremendous force as if potraying his anger into the tree! The creatue atop the wolf cleverly left mid air, its claws going straight at Raphel!

Even so, it wasn't the only creature with claws! Raphel's hands that were already pointing towards his enemy exploded mid-air changing into demon like claws easily shattering the green creature!

"YES!"

It was fun and fulfilling! The feeling of being strong already had overtaken Raphel and moving his tail like some kind of drunkard, he swayed his body lunging at enemies, slowly increasing the amount of them.

Probably because it was his first time fighting with tail, but Raphel had looted much less cores compared to graceful snake that had protected him during the night.

"You are so mysterious... What's your goal, snake?"

"..."

The blue scaled snake already coiled herself around him and with its new size, it was as if replacement for Raphel's lacking equipment! The snake armor glanced at him with her beautiful golden eyes, then... spoke.

"If you keep getting stronger like that, then one day, you will know."

"Y-you can speak?!"

"The question is whether you will help me or not..."

"..."

Her voice was so mesmerizing that Raphel quickly forgot about the fact that she can actually speak. Looking stupefied at her, Raphel awakened from his daze when she closed her eyes. Then...

"Is someone there?"

"I don't know, there is a lot of green blood..."

"Eh, that... tail..."

It was small group of dungeon hunters! They were from one of the Huntai City guilds as Raphel recognized their emblem. He had several lessons with Shi, so knowledge of his went up several folds.

The group was of course surprised by his tail. After all, it was clearly snake tail, whether scales or looks, it was obvious fact. One of them had greed in his eyes that was not hard to not notice!

Raphel's mom words rang out in his head as he saw those disgusting eyes.

'I should've thought about myself and my family instead of stupidly stepping in...'

Think about myself... Even if he escapes here, the fact that there is snakeman in Huntai City definitely will spread across the whole city and its surroundings... That's why, the only thing that's left is...

'Kill them...'

Blue snake that was on his body already had noticed them, her eyes looking straight at them.

"Wow, look at those golden eyes. That's rare."

"Correct. They will sell for huge sum!"

And before she could move to kill them!

Raphel moved first! He surprised both her and the group of dungeon hunters. The tail, not more staggering, was getting faster and faster with each inch traveled! The killing intent that suddenly sprouted from depths of his heart awakened his instincts that completely surrounded to him!

'Raphel, you have killed them... to protect me and our friends.'

It's not like he has never killed. His already deep killing intent got soldified even more as Shi's words rang out in his head...

"I will kill you... to protect us."
