Between The Worlds

Anna did her best to follow Raphel who was quite fast for someone wounded... Of course they tried to lost their followers by taking several detours, but in the end, they finally stopped as the man who was hiding his face like them appeared!

He stood in front of Raphel giving off strong vibe! Anna herself didn't know what is going on anymore! She has seen a lot of people in underground, but it was first time she truly felt danger just from looking at someone.

Of course, Raphel couldn't see the man properly as he had his head down... With hoodie covering his eyes, he could only look at the man's legs which had leather pants with few knives... Those pants definitely weren't from earth!

As Raphel could feel... magic from those.

'Equipment...'

And as he confirmed his target's identity, Raphel raised his head causing the man to smile with happiness. Looks like golden eyes are quite rare.

"As I thought... you are also the same... But the question is... whether you are special human from earth... or someone from Avira World? Tell me."

"I am not obligated to answer any of your questions. So... f.u.c.k off, bastard."

"Hoh?"

Letting out surprised gasp, the man's body suddenly flinched... One could mistake him from getting some disease, but as he kept trembling...

"This damn suppression... As if I would be content with human's body!"

'Another suppression... And what did he mean?'

Narrowing those golden eyes, Raphel focused on the man's face which began to slightly change! As the fur began appearing on his face, Raphel could feel sudden increase in strength... The aura coming from him also got thicker which caused poor human girl to scream in fear...

"What is this?! M-monster... But... What... No... how can there be monster... Am I dreaming?"

She was normal human... so it was perfectly fine for her to be struck in dread as there was no way for her to even believe in 'magic'! But the sight of monster changing in front seemed so real, she couldn't stop herself from not believing!

And this feeling along with suffocating vibe was making strong girl to lose her common sense...

"Calm down... I am here... to protect you..."

"You... will protect me?"

Someone who has been weaker than her in her eyes was now reassuring her as he stood strong in front of her trembling body! Nevertheless, Raphel's voice was strong and confident so Anna could only allow herself to calm down...

But not for too long!

"Oh really? Will he?"

The sudden wind passed through Raphel as the words of the man rang out! Of course this very wind was he himself as he moved so fast, clearly breaking the limits of humans! With fur that covered his cheeks, the man also kinda lost his humanity!

"Ahhhhhhhh!"

And with dancing knife on his palm, the man suddenly grasped it tightly, lodging it in Anna's soft arm! The blood immediately splattered just like her ear piercing scream! Being attacked by unknown creature, Anna's mind suddenly let out past memories!

'Father, how do you solve problems?'

It was young Anna, around 13 years old! She asked quite important question, so what kind of answer came out from her father's mouth?

'With my fists, of course! Hahah~~'

One simply should hit this human bear for saying such words! Because young Anna have listened to such words, the problems only went further, causing the poor girl to lose her friends and get bad status in school.

'Anna... thank you for helping us.. but... violence...'

'Violence is no good... Look... everyone is looking at you... with fear...'

'Please... don't come close to us...'

So how could young girl not fall into bad environment after such events? Anna became 'bad girl' as she went with the flow of her 'new friends', trying out a lot of new and toxic stuff which soon, led her to underground!

But in all of this, one thing was sure! That she was alone as those 'new friends' sought entertainment only... But in the end, this place was fitting her nature as Anna had no way of holding her emotions!

"Don't... stab me like that, monster!"

And this very nature allowed her to become known and strong as she relied solely on herself! Thus, Anna who had 'experience' shouted loudly as the wound on her arm got deeper! The stab that was trigger to her past memories became trigger to give her strength!

"Hah!"

However, she was human without any magic or any other energies! Lacking in strength, Anna made her show of confidence to be quite funny! But that was only for the monster as Raphel felt huge admiration for this lady!

Of course he was already in motion to help her.

That's why, it was enough for him even if Anna only stopped the monster for one second! As his golden eyes shone like golden rays of hope, Raphel appeared behind man and smashed his fist straight into his face from behind!

And not forgetting his mistakes, Raphel tapped the ground once more, going for the man who was still flying! So fast, so decisive! As the men were fighting, only one of them knew the seriousness of their situation!

It was Raphel who was working with his energy's core.

"ANNA! SOON, WE WILL LOSE CONSCIOUSNESS!"

"W-what?"

"SO TAKE HIS CLOTHES AND EVERYTHING YOU FEEL IT'S SPECIAL!"

Soon, the clock hit midnight and both fighting men lost consciousness as if someone cut their nerves...

"What the... hell..."

Poor girl! She has only one arm left yet... she has to take care of all of this alone!
