Between The Worlds

Anna was really close as Raphel could feel her breath and body all over! She clung to him like child while sleeping, so Raphel instantly realized that last night was truly scary for her. Even though she is quite rebellious girl.

'What is this place?'

Since he didn't want to wake up the lady besides him, Raphel could only lay on his back and look straight into ceiling that seemed to be somewhat old... He could see a few holes and falling parget! The bed that he was sleeping also felt quite rough, as if Anna was the only soft piece here.

"Haa... What is police doing?"

Sudden voice startled Raphel who kept looking at the ceiling while contemplating about his situation... Slowly, very slowly, Raphel turned his head to the side and saw a woman's back as her face was glued to the TV.

Her hair was messy, but it was easy to guess that she is the owner of this place, so why should she care about her appearance? Furthermore, it's two youngsters in her home, so there was truly no need to care about clothes at all.

And as for clothes, she was in her lingerie only.

There wasn't really much furnitures in the room, other than simple wardrobe, bed and TV, the whole place seemed rather empty and thus big. That's why, Raphel easily could look into the screen that kept showing the photos of various crimes.

Such deaths could only mean that the otherworlders had made their move... Just yesterday, Raphel had fought against one, and he seemed to be rather insterested in this world, so he aimed for information.

But one thing was sure, after few useful informations, he still wouldn't let Raphel and Anna go! That's for sure. Furthermore, after leaving such place that is called 'underground', Raphel could except some misfortunes to happen.

'The victims died in their homes... or in alleys void of any people.'

However, other than underground, the otherworlders were aiming for common houses and locations that wouldn't expose them. Their way of killing was also so brutal that Raphel couldn't listen anymore to this...

That's why, he turned his head, only to see the lady looking at him with slightly narrowed eyes... By looking at her face more thoroughly, Raphel could notice trails of tears going across her cheeks... Her corners of the eyes were also red, so Anna definitely cried a lot...

"I have... taken off his clothes..."

Even though it was hard and disgusting, Anna took off the clothes of otherworlder as Raphel's voice was frank and decisive! Those clothes were important, giving off the aura that she could feel with the body alone.

"She is... nurse from my school... We have gotten closer as I kept visiting her."

Anna chuckled as she mentioned this, reminiscing about her past achievements with bright smile... After her eyes had seen Raphel fighting and protecting her, the heart of bold lady got slightly softer towards Raphel and her tone or eyes didn't contain any boldness, but rather, simple and honest emotions.

"You can't imagine how she scolded me when she saw this arm- Ah!"

Soft cry left her lips as Anna tried to move her arm that was bandaged! The wound was still deep after the knife of otherworlder pierced through her... The materials from Avira World are definitely more potent to kill and deal deadly wounds to humans from Earth...

Raphel himself moved his hand to hold hers when he heard her soft voice. It was subconscious action that resulted in both of them holding each other hands for a while. He simply didn't want her to move her arm around, but then, as young man, Raphel unconsciously enjoyed the smooth skin of lady next to him.

As for Anna? She never considered herself to be delicate and her hands had smashed a lot of bones and faces, so she had hard time remembering the past when her hands were held in such way... Raphel as v.i.r.g.i.n was truly gentle, so Anna just let him hold it until someone interrupted them.

"Little thieves sure are enjoying themselves, huh!"

The bed suddenly trembled, and the voice of older lady was quite loud, so Raphel knew that those words were aimed at them!
