Black Remnant

Black Fist Academy is the only academy in the Black Fist Clan and the only ones who can enter this place are the talented young ones. They say that to reach level 3 disciple, you must have the talent for it. For those who don't have that talent have to work harder to enter.

-Black Fist Academy, 1 Star Class-

"Hmmm, it seems we got a few troublemakers." A middle-aged long haired beautiful woman wearing a dress with 3 stars imbued, known as the uniform of Master Rank students, arrived.

Everyone was surprised about who just arrived. Most of them know who she is, yet everyone stayed silent after she released low-rank intimidation aura just to get their attention and show who's the boss.

"I'm Wai, a level 8 Master and 3rd rank of Black Fist Academy's strongest students. It's nice to meet all of you. Today, I will be your teacher."

Academy's goal is for every student to reach at least Expert Rank and then they have a choice to continue their learning progress or graduate and do what they want to do. For those who decided to stay becomes a part of the academy and those who reach the top 10 highest ranked students can teach new students, test them or even help them experience real battles.

"I only have two rules for all of you. It's pretty simple really. First, you have to listen to everything I say and you always follow without any questions. Second, no fights between my students unless I allowed them to do so." Her voice seems to be affecting them making them focus on what she's saying, she emits authority that even Nin has to follow.

"So, do you newbies have any question?" Not a single soul tried to ask something. One of the reasons is most of the students knows her and yet, doesn't know much about her. So they don't know how to approach her.

"So no questions. Now let's leave this place and for now, let's start with the basics. Everyone, come to our 1 Star Classroom." And so everyone followed her.

The 1 Star Class consist of new students which starts from level 3 to level 9 disciples. Their uniforms identify a student of which class he's into. 1 Star student wears a uniform with 1 star imbued to it and more stars mean the stronger the student is. Once a student breakthrough to Expert, they can enter 2 Star Class. 3 Star Class means Master and 4 Stars means Grand Master and in the Academy, there are only 2 people who wear a 4-star uniform.

-Black Fist Academy, 1 Star Classroom-

Everyone arrived at the classroom and every seat has a book on it. A book that has all the details they need to know.

"As you can see, everyone has their own book. No need for a "meet and greet" as we're not here to make friends. Your goal is to excel with or without the help of others. So, our first lesson is pretty much about how Qi cultivation works and that's our priority. We're at war and the more strong people we have, the higher our chances of winning the war." Wai is right considering the academy produced lots of strong warriors who joined the war.

"So does that mean, if we graduate from this academy then we have to join the "Cursed Ones"?" Kiri finally broke the silence of the students. For him, he doesn't want to be strong just to die in the battle led by stupid commanders.

"Well, you have a choice to join them. Those "Cursed Ones" you say are the brave ones who want to end the war. Some of my closest friends died there without regrets." Wai witnessed the death of her friends. She was young at the time and yet, she showed courage and had her share of the fight.

"Then why are you here? Shouldn't you be fighting and not doing this boring job?" Kiri loves to question authority and because he found a good way to piss off his superior, he took advantage of it.

"Kiri, son of the Head Leader, I guess you have a good question. If you want to say I'm a coward for staying here then I won't say you're wrong. I was not scared because of how strong the rebels are, but because I can't stand seeing my friends die in battle once again. You have a choice to join the war or not. So, if we could continue with our class, that would be nice, young Kiri." Kiri looked away showing he's not really interested and so the class continued.

Wai explained how Qi cultivation works and most of them already know it, even for Ai as his father thought him most of it.

A Cultivator is someone who practices Qi cultivation.

Qi cultivation is the process of improving health, increasing longevity, and growing power. There are different cultivation methods but in Black Fist Academy, they only use the Black cultivation method to convert their current Qi into black energy. Every State has different cultivation methods. Once Qi is cultivated and gathered, Qi Refining starts.

Qi Refining is the stage of cultivation which involves absorbing Qi from the natural world and refining it inside the body increasing a cultivator's power even more which leads to an increase in ranks.

Every cultivator has his/her own Cultivation base which is the amount or capacity of refined Qi possessed by a cultivator. It's like a cultivator is an empty vessel with a limited capacity for Qi. Once it's full, you cannot add more and the only way to increase more is by increasing the size of it.

Once a cultivator's Qi crosses a certain threshold (in the volume and/or density of the Qi), they'll be able to Breakthrough higher Qi Cultivation Ranks.

Qi Cultivation Rank is the way to quantify martial power or the progress made in cultivation. There are 9 levels to each rank of cultivation, with level 1 being the start and level 9 being the peak. After breaking through to the next stage, the practitioner starts at level 1 of that new stage.

Disciple can improve fighting ability using Qi.

Expert can release Qi Aura which greatly increases ones fighting ability.

Master can use Qi to be infused to various objects.

Grand Master can create weapons and armors made of Qi

King has greater Qi control and even more powerful Qi Aura.

Emperor can absorb and use Qi from the surroundings and use lesser levitation to oneself.

Ancestor's Qi improves lifespan and grants protection of dying from natural causes. Can use levitation to oneself and objects. Qi capacity is way higher than previous levels.

Saint can use teleportation to such degree depending on the distance. Can use Qi from different realms.

Creator's Qi is so powerful that he or she can create his or her own realm. Qi can cause catastrophic events or miracles of life base on the creator's will.

God is the ruler of all realms. A God's Qi has the power to erase and renew life in just a blink of an eye.

The next cultivation progress is way more advanced so it wasn't discussed yet.)

"So as you may all know, our Head Leader Tanti is currently the strongest of all the realms who reached Level 3 King Rank. The other ranks are... somewhat only myths but you believe what you must. But for now, our goal is to make all of you reach Expert Rank." She mentioned different ranks and everyone was so excited about the stories their teacher shared. Then where they live in right now must have been created by a Creator. Still, no one can believe that a single being can create a realm.

'I guess it's not good to mention my dad who used to be level 5 King. Even after 10 years, uncle only has reached level 3 King.' Even so, Ai's dad lost to Tanti accompanied by a few of his trusted warriors when they fought.

"I guess, that's it for today. You all know how to cultivate Qi so continue doing so and yes, it improves your overall abilities but most of you don't know how to properly fight. Tomorrow, I will be teaching you, newbies, how to really fight."
