Bleach: Gazing Mirage

Kira expressed surprise as she asked, "You created your own personal kido spells? Why would you give them to me?."

 

Yuichi offered her a fake sheepish smile, his tone sounding sincere. "I've been experimenting with kido in my spare time, trying to create something useful spells. They might not be much but they worked so I thought these spells might come in handy for you, especially considering the situation you're in. It's my small way of helping. Since I’m weak and unreliable in this situation I at least hope they will provide you with some added protection."

 

Kira studied the paper with a look of gratitude. "Thank you, Yuichi. I appreciate your efforts. This could indeed be helpful, especially if I need to move around discreetly. I'll test them and make sure to use them wisely."

 

Yuichi nodded, his smile remaining warm. "Just be careful when using them. And if you ever need anything else or if there's a way I can assist you further, don't hesitate to let me know."

 

Kira's expression softened, her eyes reflecting her appreciation. "I will. Thank you for being such a good friend, Yuichi."

 

With that exchange, Yuichi bid Kira farewell and left her room. The moment they were out of each other’s sight the friendly expression they both wore faded like they were never there.

 

‘Hopefully, that will be enough for her to change whatever fate is supposed to befall her without my needing to intervene. Now I need to come up with something to tell Urahara and possibly Yoruichi when they finish up with this mess and come confront me about my lies and secrets,’ thought Yuichi as he walked back to his dorm.

 

As Yuichi walked to his room, his thoughts were a whirlwind of possible events and strategies to confront them. He knew that he needed to keep his secrets hidden in order to protect himself and keep the timeline as intact as possible or else he would render his knowledge useless. The facade he had constructed was a delicate balance between the truth and deception, it needed to stay like that for as long as possible.

 

As he walked someone grabbed his shoulders from behind startling him. He turned to see a smiling Niko who said, “What’s got you so worried? I hope it’s not about that thing.”

 

Yuichi quickly put on a smiling face and responded, "No, not at all. I was actually working on some personal kido that I created and wanted to improve them. Do you want to help me out?"

 

‘Rather than worrying about a situation I can’t control, I should just focus on getting stronger and increasing the cards I can play later on in the future,’ he thought.

 

"Sure, I'd be happy to help. Lead the way," Niko replied in an exaggerated manner, her enthusiasm evident.

 

Yuichi and Niko headed towards Yuichi’s dorm room. He led her to his table, got her a glass of water, and brought his many papers of incantations of his two new barrier kido. As she read the kido spells:

 

"Silent walls, enclose this space, let no sound escape this place." (開応の降解、声に降解を破る。Kaiō no kōkai, sei ni kōkai wo yaburu) which creates a soundproof barrier

 

and

 

Hidden from all sight, my presence veiled in shadows, senses deceived by my will, let this barrier conceal me Bakudō Kakushi Kekkai," (影に隠れ、全ての視点から隠れ、感覚は私の意志に惑わされ、この結界によって私を隠してください。縛道 隠し結界。Subete no shisen kara kakure, watashi no sonzai wa kage ni tsutsumare, kankaku wa watashi no ishi ni madowasare, kono kekkai ni yotte watashi o kakushite kudasai, Bakudō Kakushi Kekkai)

 

“Hmm, so one barrier blocks all sound, and the other hides presence and meaning that others can’t see or feel you. Those are very interesting concepts. Not bad wording used either, so where are they lacking?” said an intrigued Niko.

 

“Well, I was hoping to combine them into one rather than have two separate kidos. I also wanted to play around with the wording to strengthen its ability to conceal, so that even the most skilled person would have a hard time finding the caster,” explained Yuichi.

 

Niko nodded, impressed by Yuichi's ambition. "Combining them into one could be challenging, but if you manage to do it, you'll have a powerful and versatile kido on your hands. As for strengthening the concealment, it's all about finding the right balance between complexity and effectiveness. Let’s experiment and refine your wording and other things as we did with our Shō 2.0 (衝, Thrust) spell."

 

Yuichi's eyes lit up with renewed enthusiasm as Niko mentioned their previous collaboration on the Shō 2.0 spell. They had improved the spell's efficiency and power, and applying a similar approach when combing the two kidos could yield promising results.

 

"You're right, Niko. I think if we focus on refining the wording, finding the right balance between the two effects, and experimenting with different variations, we can create something truly exceptional," Yuichi responded.

 

Niko grinned, her competitive spirit evident. "I'm always up for a challenge, especially when it comes to refining our skills. Let's push the boundaries and see just how far we can take this combined kido. I have a feeling that with the right effort and teamwork, we can make something that will surprise even ourselves."

 

Over the next several hours, Yuichi and Niko delved into their collaborative effort, brainstorming, experimenting, and refining their new kido. They tested different variations of wording, analyzed the balance between the soundproofing and concealment effects, and even incorporated elements from their previous experiences with kido manipulation.

 

The room echoed with incantations, bursts of reiatsu, and the rustling of papers as they continuously refined their creation. By the time they were satisfied with their efforts, they had crafted a new version of the combined kido that felt more cohesive and balanced.

 

"Alright, let's give it a try," Niko said, her eyes focused on the paper containing their refined incantation.
