Blinded Scent

Liling immediately went back to her room and stared at the familiar number on the screen. She remembered how happy she was when she first saved this number on her phone.

Due to their different schedules, they did not meet each other frequently and would just talk through the phone in which Liling would take the initiative to call the other person.

Liling smiled shyly before she decided to call the other person.

It rang which brought a smile to her face.

Good thing, he didn't change to a new number!

Liling waited for a few minutes and kept on calling the number. Just when she was about to give up and thought that maybe the other person was busy, the call was connected.

"How have you been?" Liling smiled brightly and said without the other person's response.

"Why are you calling?" The other side said coldly.

Liling was taken aback by the coldness of the voice but ignored it since she was already used to it.

"I... I saw the news." Liling said.

There was silence on the other line and just when Liling thought that the other would not respond, she heard the person said, "Why did you ask about it?"

"We... we just broke up," Liling said with a grievance in her voice.

"If we broke up, am I not allowed to find a new love?" The other said indifferently.

Wen Xinyi who was done checking the ingredients in the kitchen to make lunch and would like to ask Wu Yijun what he liked to eat.

He was about to enter the living room and accidentally heard the conversation and thought, What a playboy!

Wen Xinyi quickly and quietly took a step back. He decided to go back to the kitchen. He started washing the vegetables and cutting them into small dishes. After a few minutes, Wen Xinyi was about to start to heat the pan, he heard Wu Yijun asked from behind, "What are you planning to cook for dinner?"

Wen Xinyi turned to look at Wu Yijun and saw the bright smile on the other man's face. There was no coldness and it looked like he didn't have that phone conversation a while ago.

Wen Xinyi asked in response, "What would you like to eat?"

Wu Yijun took a step closer to Wen Xinyi and whispered to his ear, "Anything is fine."

Wen Xinyi who froze in place and had no time to take a step back said. "No need to whisper ah, I can hear you from where you were standing."

Wu Yijun smiled and took a step away from the other man. He said, "I just love your scent."

Wen Xinyi was taken aback. This again? I wonder what's my scent.

Wen Xinyi decided to ignore the other man's words and continued to cook.
