Blood To-Go

John was staring at the Slime and wondered whether to kill it or not since it looks so cute to him, and didn't think that it could hurt him.

John didn't need to kill it, but he needs the experience required to level up. He doesn't quite know how the system works, but he knows of one thing, and that is he needs to get stronger if he wants to survive in this place.

Because monster like Slimes exists, there are certainly monsters out there of unimaginable forces. John didn't want to find a monster of such level inside this cave, He didn't even want to imagine something like that happening.

I guess I'll kill this slime, John thought and decides to kill the jelly-like thingy squirming in front of him. Although John had no weapon in his hands, the Slime also didn't have any. But then again, John has never seen a Slime using a weapon before. Also, the system already showed that his strength and agility is way above the Slime.

John slowly approaching the Slime and before the Slime could do anything to him, He stepped on the Slime with all his might. But what surprised him was the moment he stepped on the slime, it exploded and flew all over the place which caused him to jumped and put up a distance from the place.

Although the scene was pretty shocking, there is also something else happened that caused him to be in shock. John narrowed his eyes and looked toward the place where the slime died and saw a pale light floating around it.

The pale light was floating midair exactly where the Slime had been killed, it was quite a surreal sight.

Although John didn't know what the pale light means, he slowly approached it but was surprised when it suddenly entered from his c.h.e.s.t, and a good feeling spread to his whole body. It was very satisfying.

So this is how the experience works? It's extremely practical that I just need to be close and the pale light will be s.u.c.k.e.d into my body.

Because John had yet to escape from this dark cave, he started to sprint forward while looking at the map in his vision. Although he keeps on staring at the map, he still ended up either running into corridors or comes into dead ends. It was hell.

As he ran through the cave, he also met some Slimes along the way. He ended up killing every Slimes, just because he wanted to feel that wonderful sensation again.

'What the f.u.c.k?' John's mouth was completely dry and cracking. He felt a horrible thirst, but when he drank water, the thirst still didn't go away and it was driving him crazy.

'Is that it?' John finally remembered that he was of the vampire race, so he already know what he would have to drink to quench his thirst.

Wait a second, dehydration? What will happen if that number reached 10? This is getting ridiculous.

First, he was turned into a vampire who needs blood to survive, and the system also told him to escape this cave or If I fail to do so will result in a penalty. There's no way in hell John would want to drink the human's blood since he was previously a human, after all.

'Damn, I have to get out of here and find something to drink, animal's blood or something.' John didn't want to drink the human's blood, so he would have to quench his thirst by drinking another kind of blood. He was thinking of drinking the blood of an animal, but he doesn't know if that will help in his hydration problem. But then again, he could give a try if he ever escapes from this cave.

Although everything so far looks like a game, John didn't want to die and was worried that if he dies here, he would be gone for good. To John, everything he has experienced so far still feel like a bad lucid dream. He also didn't want to find out the truth in the hard way.

"well, All I have to do now is run and find a way to get out of here. There's nothing else for me to do."

With a strong determination to escape from this dark cave, John continued running through the cave while slaying slimes on his way.

As john progressively running through all obstacles in the cave, 'That's it, I'm getting closer!' eventually, he could see the light coming from the exit of the cave far in the distance and when he looked at the map, he was on the right track.

As he gets closer to the exit, John couldn't feel his legs anymore. Dehydration is really on another level, he felt so tired and his head was spinning, it was truly a horrible feeling. But even so, he had to move forward, he need to escape from this cave as soon as possible!

'What is this smell?' John felt a sweet and wonderful smell, something he had never felt in his entire life assaulting his nose. He couldn't help as his mouth starts to salivate all over.

John, who was already on the brink of madness, didn't care about anything anymore and started to sprint towards the smell, and the closer he is to the sweet smell, the stronger his thirst becomes.

When John reached the place where such a wonderful smell was the strongest, he came across something he never imagined to find inside the cave.

It was human.

Yes, John was seeing human for the first time after awakening into this dark cave, but to the current John, the human in front of him looked just like a piece of meat that was waiting for him to devour.

'ATTACK THEM'

'SUCK THEIR BLOOD'

'KILL THEM'

'BITE THEM TO DEATH'

"Stop!" John was hearing several kinds of voices in his head telling him to attack those humans over and over. He was trying his best to control himself, but in the end, it was in vain. He could hear something snapped inside his head before losing his conscious for the first time in his entire life.

John ended up losing his sanity.
