Blossoming Flowers

Chapter 49 - Doesn't Want to Let Go

Like this, Jiang Yingyue was about to cohabitate with Han Qingshan. She was quite surprised about the whole situation and felt slightly odd about it, but she did not know what else to do. She could not very well say no.

"What about my things?" she asked, slightly stunned. Things had gone forward so fast, she could not fully comprehend it, but at least it was only going to be for a few days. "I need clean clothes and toiletries. And bandages. Lots and lots of bandages."

"I will get all of it ready for you," Han Qingshan promised, but Jiang Yingyue shook her head. "Can't you just go and pick it up at my place?" she asked, feeling a slight headache coming her way. Was he planning to buy everything for her? He really did not care about spending money at all.

Han Qingshan was about to say that he did not mind buying things for her, but then he saw that she looked slightly uncomfortable. Han Qingshan was used to everyone loving receiving gifts, so why was this good friend of his so different from everyone else he knew?

"Okay, just use my clothes tomorrow. On the way back from work, I will stop by your place and fetch your stuff.

"Something happened at Imperial World, so I am not able to focus during university classes right now," Han Qingshan explained and Jiang Yingyue nodded her head, not wanting to be a nuisance.

"I don't know when I will come home tomorrow, but you can use anything you please from the flat. You can place it anywhere you want too, and even mess it all up. I don't really care. I will position two bodyguards outside and give you their numbers. If you happen to need something, ask them to bring it to you.

"They already have a card that is attached to my account, so don't worry about paying for the things you want or need. Just make sure that you won't get bored while waiting for me."

Seeing Han Qingshan being so overly worried about her, Jiang Yingyue could not help but laugh. Her pearl-like laughter resounded in the sitting room, stunning Han Qingshan, making him entranced as he looked at the brightly lit expression of his good friend.

"I will leave the room where you slept to you; you can redecorate it as you please as well," he continued, making Jiang Yingyue smile and nod her head. "I understand, you want me to peacefully wait for you to come back home. Don't worry, I won't be bored. There is a massive TV here, there are also game consoles, and you have already ordered a mountain of congee so I will not go hungry.

"You also said that you will help me get the study schedule so I will also be able to study. Since all my books are at home, I'll be able to do that from tomorrow onwards, when you get back here with my things."

Jiang Yingyue smiled, and it seemed as if she had forgotten all about the pain from the wound on her side. One has to say that the painkillers that Han Qingshan had gotten were extremely effective. Any normal person would be unable to get them without a prescription. But with him being the young master that he was, it was a simple feat for him to obtain them with his connections.

Together, the two friends sat down on the coffee table and started eating the congee. While eating, none of them spoke any words, but the silence was not awkward. Instead, it was incredibly calming and relaxing, both of them felt comfortable, and the meal tasted even better than they had expected.

When they finished, Jiang Yingyue gathered the bowls and the leftover food and went towards the kitchen. There, she started to pack the rest of the food into sealed containers and then placed it in the fridge. Afterwards, she started washing the bowls and left them to dry. Han Qingshan had been the one paying for the meal, so the least she could do was to help him with the cleanup like this.

Han Qingshan was about to stop her, but then he heard her humming a song happily while busying herself in the kitchen, So, in the end, he just sat there with a smile on his lips feeling happy.

He had never lived together with someone before; so he was a little confused about why he suddenly felt like being part of a newlywed couple, and he could not completely get over the emotions.

Jiang Yingyue smiled when she saw that he allowed her to clean after their meal. She was very happy now. Although she had been worried at first about staying over, she got over it quite quickly.

She kept thinking that they would be sleeping in different rooms and that Han Qingshan would not be home as much. It would truly be better for her to remain at his house, rather than stay home alone, where she might become a burden to her family.

Just as she finished cleaning up, she returned to the sitting room and saw that Han Qingshan was, once again, staring at a few reports that he had in his hands.

Feeling bad, Jiang Yingyue went towards him and placed a cool hand on his arm. When Han Qingshan felt the cool touch, it was as if electricity was coursing through his body and he looked at Jiang Yingyue in surprise.

"Yes?" He asked, looking confused when he saw the pained expression in Jiang Yingyue's eyes.

"Can I do anything to help you?" She asked uncomfortably, her hand squeezing Han Qingshan's arm tightly.

Han Qingshan's worried and tired heart was suddenly uplifted. The headache he had felt coming earlier towards him, had suddenly vanished completely.

A smile spread on his face as he lifted his other hand and placed it on top of Jiang Yingyue's. He tightened his hold when he felt how small the hand was compared to his, also noticing how smooth the skin was to the touch. He suddenly felt an urge to never let go again.

"Thank you," he said gently as he looked into Jiang Yingyue's eyes. "But I won't be so easily toppled. Although everyone only sees problems for me, all I see are possibilities. I can still handle this, so you don't have to be worried for my sake. You should focus more on treating your injury and getting better soon."
