Blossoming Flowers

Chapter 74 - Young Master's Guest

Jiang Yingyue listened to Han Qingshan giving instructions to Song Liwei, and she could not help but feel happy that she was allowed to be an insider, knowing what was happening with the company, and seeing that Han Qingshan was not hiding anything from her.

Jiang Yingyue was happy, but she also felt incredibly useless. She had nothing to do; all she could do was sit on the sofa, observing the other two working together in an experienced way.

Sensing her helplessness, Han Qingshan found a stack of papers and handed them to Jiang Yingyue. "Can you tidy these for me?" he asked with a smile on his face. "These are contracts from the newest members of my agency, just put them in order according to the date when they joined us," he said, pointing at a date that was stamped at the top of the doc.u.ments.

Jiang Yingyue's face brightened in excitement when she heard that she had something to do, and she nodded her head vigorously, her expression and appearance making Han Qingshan have a hard time holding back from touching her head again.

Song Liwei, who was standing by the side, wanted to cry but had no tears. He had been an assistant for Han Qingshan for a long time, but he had never been asked so gently to work for him before.

It was obvious for someone who was with Han Qingshan often, that the way Jiang Yingyue was being treated was very different from anyone else.

Even Song Liwei was starting to worry about his boss' s.e.x.u.a.lity, but being a normal assistant, it was not his position to care about such details.

Jiang Yingyue was not noticing that something about their relationship was odd. She had long since forgotten about how the relationship between normal friends was, and thus, she had nothing to compare it to.

Jiang Yingyue spent the time organizing the contracts she had been given before the light slowly started to vanish and evening arrived.

"Do you want to eat out tonight, or should we go to the market and buy groceries?" Han Qingshan could not help but ask for Jiang Yingyue's opinion as dinnertime approached.

"It is expensive to eat out," Jiang Yingyue said seriously, and glanced at Han Qingshan. Although he was footing the bill, it did not mean that she enjoyed spending his money.

"Okay, we will go to the market then." Han Qingshan stood up from the chair and stretched slightly before finding a stack of papers and handing them over to Song Liwei.

"You can finish the work tonight," Han Qingshan instructed him. "Get some contracts finalized with the artists from Starry Sky. Don't let them evade our grasp."

Song Liwei looked at Han Qingshan with dispirited eyes. So his boss was going home to eat a home-cooked meal, while he was forced to work overtime?

He felt like an abandoned puppy, and he could only bury himself in his work, looking forward to the moment he could go home and spend time with his wife.

Han Qingshan led Jiang Yingyue out of the office, and together, the two of them went to the elevator, down to the parking bas.e.m.e.nt and into the black Porsche.

After arriving at the market, Jiang Yingyue was happily getting the freshest of ingredients and planning what to cook that evening. She was going to make a feast, considering that it was her first day at work, and she wanted to celebrate with Han Qingshan.

In the end, she bought enough ingredients for a few days worth of dishes, and she was smiling like a Cheshire cat when they finally started to head back to the condo.

"I will go take a shower," Han Qingshan said, his facial features displaying a bit of exhaustion, and Jiang Yingyue nodded her head in acknowledgment. "Take a warm shower, I will cook some food in the meantime," she promised.

Washing her hands and finding an apron, Jiang Yingyue began cooking the feast of the day. While cooking, she was humming a few children songs that she remembered, her mood very good, until she suddenly heard someone knocking on the door.

Jiang Yingyue was unsure of what to do. Should she open it? Should she ignore it? It seemed that no matter what she did, it would be wrong.

In the end, she went to the bathroom and knocked on the door. "Han Qingshan," she called. "Someone is at the door, what should I do?"

"Open it for me." Han Qingshan's voice could be heard amongst the running water from the shower.

Hearing that Han Qingshan wanted her to open the door, Jiang Yingyue finally gathered her courage and went to open it. As she opened it, she was stunned to see a m.a.t.u.r.e but incredibly attractive woman standing outside. She did not seem much more than thirty years old, and a gentle smile was on her lips.

"Qingshan! Why were you so late?" The woman blurted out before she managed to see who it was that opened the door. When she saw who it was, she was stunned, but then a cunning smile flashed past her lips as she observed Jiang Yingyue with interest.

"You are Jiang Fengmian?" she asked curiously, and Jiang Yingyue nodded her head surprised. This lady knew her?

"You are such a cutie!" the woman said as she clasped her hands together. "Okay, where is Qingshan? And you are wearing an apron? How adorable, are you cooking dinner?"

The woman was bombarding her with questions, and she was feeling more and more confused and unsure of what was going on.
