Book Of Divine Creatures

"Mom, Dad, I will be leaving to find my own life in the city. This place is no longer applicable for me to live on. I have no capabilities to keep myself stay here and besides, aunt have taken the house that you two painstakingly made. I will be visiting this place once in a while, though. I know that wherever you are you are watching over me," I said as I stand in front of the two gravestones that are similar to rocks. I know that these is how poor people's graves look like. Not as exquisite as those rich people have. Also, instead of a cemetery, they were on the cliff side where the sunset can be seen but since it is still early, the sun is still blazing on the horizon.

I placed the roses on their graves and light up a candle before leaving. However, my senses stopped me as the voice that is talking in the pocket dimension once again appeared talking to my head. But this time, I am no longer shocked.

"DETECTED LEVEL 0 METAL BLACK BEETLE IN YOUR VICINITY. COMPATIBLE TO BE YOUR FIRST DIVINE CREATURE."

Metal Black Beetle! I gasped as I recall in my memory. Metal Black Beetles were considered low tier as they don't have much attack power but they are well known for their agility and defense. Still, they are not that popular but it was said that they are easy to catch. Pulling out the knife, I looked around, looking for this Metal Black Beetle. I can't be choosy right now. If I wanted to survive the assault on the forest against beasts and wild Divine Creatures, I have to own my own Divine Creature that can protect me and this Metal Black Beetle would be perfect.

The surroundings were quiet and I have not seen a single creature. Still, I did not doubt the voice. If it said that there is one, it was absolute that there really is one. I hit a realization that I am just so narrow minded in my search. There is another area that I haven't checked.

I looked at the cliff below the grave of mother and father and as expected, it was the Metal Black Beetle! I might not have personally saw a Metal Black Beetle but the previous Li Jin have seen one since Metal Black Beetles are considered common in the world. The Metal Black Beetle below the cliff is located on a small putruding rock that can be seen as very small and dangerous if you haven't got to stand on it. The Metal Black Beetle below was smaller than what I can remember and it was not black like how it was supposed to be but has white spots on its back. I quickly remind myself that the voice said it was a level 0. Since it was a level 0 Metal Black Beetle, it might be a newborn one!

I did not hesitate and climb down the ravine to take the beetle and get it to acknowledge me as its master. Of course, I did not just go down the cliff without any things to help me climb back up the place. I tied up a rope that I packed inside my backpack and tied it up on a tree to help me climb down. It was scary and despite being a courageous person, I am not this brave, still, it was needed since it might change my entire life or at least has a chance to change my miserable new life.

Still, it was like mountain climbing, though you are climbing down on a deep ravine without proper equipment. One small mistake and your done for. Luckily, this body was quite nimble and in just a few more movements, I finally reach the protruding rock and I never expected that this Metal Black Beetle was huge. It was currently as big as my backpack, wait... my backpack is much smaller, the Metal Black Beetle is similar to a big suitcase filled with clothes, that is the actual size of the Metal Black Beetle. It was currently facing me backwards so it still have not noticed my presence. As my eyes lay on the Divine Creature, the voice once again talked.

"SUCCESS RATE OF TAMING THE CURRENT CREATURE 100%."

Just wow, it was 100% success rate but I don't even know how to do it.

"FEED IT WITH MILK"

What, seriously, this is the first time I heard of a beetle drinking milk. Anyways, this is the only thing for me, I don't even drink too much milk but I still brought one in case I need it and I never expected it would be used this way. I opened the cap of the bottle containing fresh milk. Just as I opened the bottle, the Metal Black Beetle turned around and looked at me. Crap, it has a pair of big eyes but for some reason, it didn't look hostile to me and feels more like... pleading or acting cute?

F*ck, I don't see any cuteness from this guy! But since it was a Divine Creature, I need to work on getting its trust to me. I pulled out a bowl from my backpack and pour down the fresh milk from the bottle before putting it down for the Metal Black Beetle to drink.

SQUEAK!

It happily drank all of the contents inside the bowl and the contents disappeared in just a split second.

"So fast!" I picked up the bowl and checked it for a single droplets but what the heck, I don't see it. It was completely dry and even the smell of the fresh milk do not linger on the bowl.

The Metal Black Beetle rubs its head to me. I might consider it if it was a cat or a dog but...a beetle?

"COMPLETE THE TAMING PROCESS TO THE DIVINE CREATURE BY GIVING THE DROPLET OF YOUR BLOOD"

I see, a blood contract. It makes matters simple. I pull out the kitchen knife in my bag and sliced my finger a bit allowing a few droplets of blood to fall. The beetle allowed the blood droplet drop on its head and in an instant, a crest of a star appeared on its outer wings.

"TAMING PROCESS COMPLETED. QUEST NUMBER 2 IS COMPLETED, AWARDING KEEPER WITH FREE PURCHASE OF FOREST ISLAND AND METAL BERRY SEEDLING WITH A SINGLE PLOT OF LAND FOR FREE"

Wow, a free purchase, looks like I am in luck. The Metal Black Beetle climb in my back and covered my backpack and slept like it was just tired. I smirked and sighed. I am officially a Tamer. I looked at the Metal Black Beetle and nodded.

"Alright, I will call you Sleepy."
